The cottage is in a prime location, only 2 blocks from downtown shopping, dining, and the marinas. Enjoy a 10 minute walk to the channel, which leads to the pier, and Mears State Park where you can enjoy the beach and the most incredible Lake Michigan sunsets. The cottage is filled with beautiful knotty pine walls throughout the home. The two downstairs bedrooms have new mattresses purchased in 2020. Bicycles are to stay outside, and not be stored in the house. If you are concerned about bike theft, please bring a lock. As a reminder this is a non-smoking, no pet home (Sorry, no exceptions due to allergies). We also ask that due to the age of this home you do not use any candles, open flames, or fireworks in or near the home during your stay. Due to Covid-19 we are taking extra safety precautions. In addition to being thoroughly cleaned before the arrival of guests, commonly touched areas will be disinfected. There will also be disinfecting wipes and disinfecting spray available for your use. Beds and pillows will be disinfected, and clean bedding will be packaged and placed at the foot of each bed, assuring our guests that everything is clean and freshly laundered. We hope that you come and enjoy this little piece of heaven, in the beautiful Village of Pentwater.

We’ve been coming to Pentwater since our kids were tiny, but never stayed in town before. We loved how clean the cabin was and how close to everything we were.

Our stay at Coho Cottage was a good experience. The listing was accurate. The house was clean. Power went out in town for a short bit and the owners reached out to us to make sure we were fine. The owners responded promptly to any questions we had.

We enjoyed our stay at Coho Cottage very much. Everything was as described and the location was very convenient as we were participating in a sailing regatta at the Pentwater Yacht Club. The kitchen was very well stocked and everything was very clean. Would definitely stay again!

This was our first stay at the Coho Cottage, and let me tell you it was well worth our visit. We walked to town almost everyday, and it was exactly a mile from the house to the end of the pier. I only wish I had that kind of walk scenery in KY where we live. We love vacationing in Pentwater, and can't wait to visit again. Great host!!

Our family enjoyed another lovely stay at the Coho Cottage. Chris and Sheri are wonderful hosts! The cottage was the perfect size for our group of 8. It is walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, and the beach. The cottage has all of the essentials, as well as special touches to make it welcoming and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay here!

The property is close to downtown and marina. The outside includes a yard which is a bonus.
Clean and great communication with owners.

We brought the whole family for a week at the cottage, and had plenty of room to relax. Seven adults shared one shower and magically, there was always enough hot water! The house is clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and bathroom linens. The laundry supplies were an added bonus! It’s a quick walk to the main street in town where everything is happening, but super quiet in the neighborhood. Loved the central air! Thanks for a lovely week!

Great location and cozy space
We loved our stay here and recommend for family vacations! The house has a cozy/cabin vibe. Downstairs mattresses are comfortable, even though our preference is something firmer. Chris was very kind and responsive to chat with!
Pros: They provide more than one roll of TP and had tissues around the house. Everything was very clean and loved that the bedding was organized in a bag for each bed. They had great little touches of board games and lots of books, as well as a thorough welcome binder with everything you need to know.
Cons: the AC didn’t cool the upstairs bedrooms very well, however they did have many fans, so kids all slept just fine.
We go to Pentwater every year and would definitely consider renting this house again! Everything you need for a great family vacation!

Coho Cottage
We have been coming to Pentwater for about 30 yrs. We love this quant little town. The house was very clean and is a short walk to the Hancock St. where all the shops are. There was a storm during our stay and Chris called us to see if everything was ok and if we needed a generator. Above and beyond I thought. Highly recommend.

Relaxing week in Pentwater
House was very nice in section of town that enabled us to walk to shops and beach. We liked the nice hardwood floors and knotty pine walls. Presented a clean & rustic look. Used the gas grill almost every day, which worked great. The only downside was the door between the downstairs bedrooms lacked soundproof/ lacked priviacy. My suggestion would be to remove the door and fill in with drywall. This was the only drawback as we would recomend this house as a great place to stay!

Happy
Everything was great except we couldn’t really figure out any local TV channels with the type of service they had. Also there wasn’t any air-conditioning upstairs just an FYI. There were fans and it didn’t get that hot at night but just in case anyone’s interested in knowing.
It was a great place to stay close to everything!

Perfect Holiday Stay
Great holiday weekend. Property was close to town and we walked everywhere -even to the beach. Kitchen was well equipped for a rental. The kids loved the upstairs rooms and their own little spaces. The owners were responsive and so friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The beds were SO comfortable!
I actually liked their bed better than my own at home! Loved the wood paneled living room with nautical decor. Enjoyed being able to walk to town and Cenzo’s. Owners very responsive.

Relaxing beach getaway
We had a great time at Coho Cottage. The house was clean and well-stocked with books and games for the kids. We brought our bikes and rode to the beach almost every day. It is only about a 5 minute ride. The town of Pentwater is quaint and relaxing and we think one of the best beaches along Lake Michigan. I highly recommend Coho Cottage as the owners were very helpful, the house was spacious and comfortable, and the location was lovely!
