Had our whole family out to enjoy the weekend. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed tons of games around the property and explored the town of Wimberley. Property is extremely close to the town and easily accessible. The game room was amazing. Hosts are always available.

What a great idea to throw my own birthday party! I invited the family and enjoyed pretending it was my home and property. The view was outstanding with plenty of room to play and toys to play with! We took advantage of the hot tub and pool. It felt like sleeping in treehouse! Attention to detail was evident throughout both houses.

This house has everything for a family or group of friends! We celebrated a birthday and enjoyed everything the property offerered, including the heated pool on a chilly January weekend. The property owners were wonderful to work with and accommodating for our group's needs. We can't wait to visit again and stay longer.

This is a beautiful property that was perfect for our large family gathering. There was plenty of room for the 16 of us and with two separate houses, you could always find a quiet spot for work or relaxing and always plenty of fun spots with the large game room which was a hit with all ages and the outdoor pool and hot tub.
We enjoyed several outings to nearby shops, restaurants and parks, but we could have just stayed on the property and had a great time taking advantage of all it had to offer.
We rent large homes every Christmas/New Years in different cities around the country and in Mexico for all our children and grandchildren and this was a favorite.
The hosts are fantastic - going way out of their way to decorate and have gifts when we arrived on Christmas day - answering any questions immediately and suggesting services such as a masseuse to come to the house for massages!
There isn't a thing I would change. We hope to return another year. Thank you Mitch and Robin!

Amazing Time
Had a blast at this property. Both the adults and kids had an amazing time. Between the two houses, there was plenty of room to lodge and plenty of space for food and drinks. This property had amazing views. Robin was in contact when needed and was very responsive. Very organized and felt welcomed since the booking. This is an easy 5-star experience.

Family Reunion: Play, dine, talk, reconnect.
This was the perfect spot for a reunion of 7 siblings and their significant others from Texas and California who haven’t been together in one spot for years. There was plenty of things to do on-site and within a short drive. The size of the retreat houses made it easy to hang together and have alone time too. Just what we needed. Thank you.

Fun-filled weekend
We loved that the property had two separate homes. Each had kitchens and a game room. Questions to Mitch and Robin were answered quickly. The kitchens were well-stocked. There was plenty of space for all of us. The only challenge for us was trying to figure out who slept where because there is only one bathroom for three bedrooms to share upstairs in one of the houses, and only one bathroom for upstairs and downstairs bedrooms to share in half of the other. We loved our time here. The views were peaceful and the heated pool and hot tub were hits. We’d absolutely go again, particularly in the Spring when it’s warm enough to explore more outside.

USMC Family Reunion
The place was beautiful and perfect for a 4 family reunion of Marines. Mitch and Robin were great from beginning to end. They were extremely responsive and accommodating before and during our stay. We will definitely be visiting this place in the future. Thank you for allowing us to make memories with our families.

I would like to start by saying that the houses are very nice, very clean and Mitch (one of the homeowners) was very polite and professional - at first. We stayed for 3 nights and 2 days. The first night was casual and just friends who have not seen each other in a while drinking and catching up. Mitch reached out and checked on us - two thumbs up. Day 2: we hung in the game room and pool. This was very fun and the set up is really hard to beat. Later that day we went to a local winery and had dinner at a restaurant next door. Most of that evening was spent in the pool and hot tub. Overall, still having a phenomenal time and all the guests are loving it! Day 3: we stayed at the house the entire day, swam, played games and ended the evening with a themed party where we all got dressed to play drinking games and enjoy our last night. This is where things took a turn. Around 11:30, Mitch calls me, very aggravated, to tell me that he has been getting noise complaints. I told Mitch that I will take care of it so we switched from our large speaker to a small handheld speaker you would buy at your local Target. 10 minutes later, Mitch calls me again and says, "DO NOT MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE." I have not felt talked to like a child like this in over a decade. It was extremely offensive and could easily been taken as a threat. Mitch's tone, approach and professionalism all flew out of the window during this night. We literally were fearful of making any noise after this out of thought that Mitch was going to show up to 'make a point' and possibly tell 16 guests who have been drinking that they all must leave. It completely ruined the night for all guests simultaneously and was a terrible way to bring our last night together to an end.
Let me be very clear about something since this was a large reason I specifically chose this property. Do not let the "5 acres" fool you. Yes, the property has plenty of land - behind the house. What is not advertised is that there are several homes/cabins not even a 30 second walk from the front of these houses and I believe these are the kind folks who decided that we were being too loud for their liking.
Mitch, from me to you, you were a great host up front. Every part of the stay was seamless, but the way you spoke to me, man to man, was offensive and unprofessional. I looked forward to raving about your property until our last night there.

Excellent stay!!
We loved staying here. Both houses were spotless and very well stocked. Pool and spa were clean and stayed that way. All of the entertainment features and equipment were well maintained. There were more amenities than we have seen in other places. Mitch answered every question immediately and we are planning on returning next summer!

Perfect Group NYE Trip
All aspects of the property were as described, comfortable, and well equipped. Our group of 8 adults and 10 kids (5-12 yo) enjoyed our time immensely. We will likely be back in the warmer months to make more use of the pool and outdoor bar area.

Perfect Weekend
We were having our daughters wedding in Driftwood and this was the perfect place for us to stay! So much room to spread out and relax. Appointed with everything you need and more. Beautiful views several places to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail. Throw a few handfuls of corn out and watch the deer gather! Owners were a pleasure to deal with and know the area well, so use their knowledge to enjoy the surrounding hot spots. Would love to come back!

Better Than We Could Have Imagined
This property is so amazing and perfect for family and friends to relax and play games while enjoying spectacular views! The beds are all comfortable, plenty of space, and activities! Downtown Wimberley is just a few miles away and has an abundance of places to eat and shop! It is a dreamy little town and Lookout Ridge Retreat is better than the awesome pics can even show!

We had a wonderful time at Lookout Ridge Retreat. We had family from all ages get together for the weekend and there was something for everyone to do without ever leaving the retreat. The owners thought of every detail to make the two houses warm, inviting and fun. We will most definitely be back.

A piece of heaven!!!!
We have a girls friends weekend every year at a camp but we could not go this year due to COVID so we found this wonderful jewel in the heart of the hill country in Wimberley. Everything you ever need is at the houses. Everything was very clean and all you needed was to unpack and have fun. The owners are very helpful.
I recommend this property to anyone that wants to get away to a little slice of heaven.

Absolutely Fantastic!!
We rented this property for a Staycation to celebrate my 50th Birthday. When we booked the property we absolutely loved the pictures, but we know sometimes pictures can be deceiving....well not in this case!! This property is even better in person with lots of room, extremely clean houses, tons of deck space and absolutely breathtaking views. It is just a pure slice of heaven in the hill country of Central Texas. Every one of our friends raved about the place. The owners Mitch and Robin are fantastic people and have done an incredible job with the place.....we all talked about how we wished that we owned it! You can tell that they take a lot of pride in and love their place and want their guests to love it too. The little things that they didn't have to do (but they did) such as the 3 refrigerators and outdoor cooler already stocked with multiple bags of ice for the guests, to complimentary bottles of their favorite wine were such a nice touch. The houses are fully stocked (with labeled cabinets) with just about everything you could possibly need. We were able to find whatever we were looking for no matter how small or obscure the item, they seemed to have it available. The game room and bar area that is downstairs of The Retreat house is newly built and truly amazing with the open air feel of your own personal Texas Ice House. The pool is sparkling clean, extremely well maintained and both houses are stocked with tons of pool towels. The master bedroom in the Lodge House is enormous with a very comfortable bed and tons of bathroom space. The only thing that the property probably could have used was maybe an additional bathroom upstairs in 'The Retreat' house, if you have people staying who are not related. But that is more of a wish list and not a criticism as the work they have already done since they have owned the property for a short time is truly incredible. The communication with Mitch and Robin was stellar and they will absolutely take care of you. If you are on the fence about booking this property...don't be. Book it now before someone else does and you will NOT be disappointed. We are already talking about booking it again in the near future.

After being on lockdown for months, our family was looking for a nice getaway! This property was everything we were looking for and more! First and more importantly, Mitch and Robin were phenomenal hosts! They were very attentive and easily accessible throughout the entire trip. They ensured the property was comfortable and clean and that it was! Second, if you are looking for views and relaxation, this is the property to be at! The two house setup is very accommodating for large groups, the pool is fantastic, and the entire property offers plenty of space for all. Views are spectacular all around!! Lastly, we absolutely love Wimberley for a family getaway. We will definitely be back at this property!! 5 star experience all around!! Thank you Mitch and Robin!!

Weekend getaway
We arrived at the property which was beautiful and peaceful. The view from the back of The Lodge was just amazing. The Lodge and Retreat were ready to go when we arrived. We were able to cook all of our meals and enjoyed being able to sit at the big table all together. The owners were so accomdating they even brought us a crockpot so we can cook our dinner during our stay. My husband loved the grill. Only thing we didn't accomplish was s'mores due to county burn ban. The kids loved the pool and all the games that they had to offer. We definitely are looking forward to booking another stay.
