Beautiful place! Our group of 8 adults had a wonderful vacation. The house is filled with light, with an unobstructed view of the ocean and Haystack Rock. The kitchen is large and well appointed. We spent hours on the deck enjoying the view and spotting whales. I had never been to Pacific City, and fell in love with the laid back vibe and absence of crowds one gets in Seaside, Cannon Beach, or Lincoln City. The only downside of this rental is that it is very difficult to actually get to the water, requiring a physical scramble up and down a 6 foot embankment. That being said, would definitely stay here again.

Greatest location, great spot

This house is great, really spacious and perfect for 3 generations. Kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes, pots and utensils. Views were stunning! However, please note there is no direct beach access! We went to walk out to the beach and found a 15-20 foot sand cliff with no way down to the beach. You must drive to access the beach, which was a huge bummer as house listing describes direct beach access.

Right on the beach. The views were incredible. The place as very nice and accommodated my extended family. Two living areas made it easy for people to do their own thing. Great kitchen. Lot of comfy spots to lounge around.

We had a great time! Loved the beach access and large open floor plan. Well stocked for the most part. New mattresses on all beds would have made it perfect!

Our family of 6 loved visiting Pacific City and the coast. House was spacious, well-appointed, and had an unbelievable ocean view. Right on the beach, though you have to scramble down a sand dune to access. Only nit was a dishwasher that didn't get much clean. Would stay here again.

The Wave Catchers was picturesque.
After walking upstairs to see the long ocean view from the living room window I felt like I was dreaming and did not want to be awaken for awhile.
There are many amenities that are not all mentioned future guests should know about. We’re a family with four children under 10 and were pleased to find two sets of binoculars for sea gazing, a closet full of games (including Kinex), multiple puzzles, books and

Great location but worn and tired inside.
The location and the view were great but the furniture, appliances and interior were all worn and tired. we could only get one burner on the stove top to work and when we called no one came. Almost every dish we used was chipped The furniture was worn and stained. Just looks like it needs an General refreshing.

Wonderful time
We had a wonderful time with friends- The view is amazing and the kitchen had all the supplies and is spacious. What I didn't realize is when you walk to the beach it is a steep climb down which is fine for most- but not if you have RA. Luckily the pelican had easy beach access for those like me. I would definitly recommend this house for families and groups.

Spacious with great view and access to beach
We had 5 adults and found plenty of room to hang out, cook together and sit out on the deck for sunset. We mostly stayed upstairs but there is another living space downstairs. The views are stunning. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with decent cooking gear. There were some cooking essentials in the cabinet like oil, spices, etc. The coffee maker is automatic with plenty of filters. There is plenty of beach toys in the garage and the walk to the beach is straight out the back door. There were games, puzzles, DVD player that works and wasn't too complicated to figure out. It is deep sand with a bit of a sandy slope to climb down onto the beach. This slope keeps the home private from the beach but still allows for an amazing view. It was too challenging for our oldest family members with bad knees, but it shouldn't be a challenge for healthy folk. The walk on the beach goes forever and while the beach to the north is busy, the beach walk to the south was less so. It is a well used beach with horses, camels, and a few cars. It wasn't at all crowded, just don't expect to be all alone. The neighborhood was very quiet during our stay and we all slept well. We would definitly come back to this home.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The windows facing the Pacific were priceless. The weather was great and we will be back with the kids next time.

Beach getaway in the era of COVID
My husband and I met up with two other couples and one baby for a long weekend on the Oregon Coast. The location was perfect, the kitchen was accommodating, and the deck off the back was phenomenal. 10/10 would choose again.

Great Place for a Change of Scene
Terrific beach cottage. As we were there for pretty bad weather, we were thrilled to stay inside look out the broad expanse of windows at the waves coming in. Also we cooked quite a bit, and we were very happy with the well appointed kitchen! Overall, I'd say this is a great place to be in good or bad weather!

First, I would like to say the house is WONDERFUL. It is very large with the most beautiful view. The access to the beach is pretty and right in front of you. There was everything you needed in the house. The layout is fantastic for 2 families. The reason I took off 2 stars is the problems we had. 2 days before our trip, we got a call that the owner was going to paint the exterior of the house while we were there. We could cancel or get a refund for one night. At that point, there was no way we could find another rental with 2 days of lead time. We had taken days off from work, hired pet sitters, etc, so we were pretty much stuck keeping the house or calling off the trip. I was assured that they would be painting on the day we checked in, but would be gone by check in. I was also told they might be there for part of the day on our first full day of rental. The painter came and stayed all day Thursday without appearing to do much. He also seemed surprised that we were there, as if no one told him the house would be occupied. Ok, that was a little annoying that he stayed all day, but we were out on the beach most of the day. I got a text the next day (Friday) at 3:42pm from Korena at the property manager saying that we had to let the painters in so they could plug in their sprayers. There was no one at the house to paint, there were outlets outside, and we were out at the beach. I then called and let Korena know we had not been told they were coming to paint for a 3rd day. She was fairly rude to me during the conversation and told me they were now going to be there all day on Saturday (day 4 of painting of our 5 day stay), which I was never told initially. The painters arrived at 7:30am on Saturday and proceeded to seal up the whole house. Any time we wanted to go in or out, we had to wait for a painter to pull back the paint covers and tape. One of the best parts of the house was the view, which was taped off most of the day and covered. It was a beautiful, warm day too, so with no ventilation and all the windows and doors covered, the place turned into a greenhouse full of paint fumes. My watch said it was 90+ degrees in the living room during the afternoon and we couldn't do anything to cool it off. My husband called the property management after the painters left to tell them what a horrible situation this turned into. They promised to have someone call back. That was 5 days ago. Beautiful house, horrible experience.

A dream come true.
I have been wanting to spend some time at the beach with my family for years but the right opportunity took quite a while in presenting itself. Man, was it ever worth the wait. The Wave Catcher property was all I saw in the pictures and more! From the amazing array of amenities to the plethora of blankets and towels. Wave Catchers provided the perfect setting for a long overdue family reunion. I would definately reccomend this beautiful beach house to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the most breathtaking view of the beach, waves and the majestic Haystack Rock. I will never forget this place!!
