The house was great! Lots of room to spread out. We had 2 families with children and there was lots of room.
We had one issue with the dishwasher and Caitlin came over to fix it right away.

This property is located in a quiet neighborhood and great location to access everything quickly. Beds were conformable. It could use better cleaning.
4.7
The location and size were perfect for our large family. The home was not as clean as we expected it to be, especially based on the previous reviews and the cleaning checklist left in the welcome binder.

There were several things wrong, the doors did not close and latch properly. There was and probably still is a toothbrush in the record player upstairs living room. Didnt want to touch it very gross. The upstairs main bathroom shower was dirty. Has someone else's hair stuck on the side of the tub.
The kitchen stove was very old and stained with grease or something. The toaster oven didnt look like its been cleaned for several uses. Kitchen trash was not emptied from previous use.
The garage when putting our trash out there before we left on our last day stunk, like it still has trash in it from several users ago.
No remote for the upstairs tv to turn on and off. had to do it manually, then had to adjust volume the same way.
House was extremely cold when we got there. Had to turn the heat on and leave it on in order to get it warmed up.
No laundry baskets to put dirty towels in. Left them in the main floor bathroom tub.
Ceiling fans were extremely dusty and dirty.
The area was not bad at all. The house manager came and tried to replace the remote batteries and the remote wasnt the correct one for the tv at all.
wifi had to be reset after contacting the house manager.
no i dont think we will be using this location again if we were to ever come back to Columbia.

Everything was well done.

The house was clean, in a great location and everything advertised. It was the perfect size for our trip for 8. Easy check in and communication with the host.
4.7
All in all it served the purpose without any troubles. The water pressure for the showers was low and the toilets are small and the tv's are small. Basement has only one way out which is where half the sleeping quarters are. They do have board games and cards and puzzles, nice deck off the master bedroom and nice size back yard.

This was the perfect property for us to stay in for our event.

Nice little raised ranch, nothing super fancy by any means but clean, with no issues. I would recommend and we will come back here in the future.

We’ve stayed in several vacation home rentals across the country. It’s hard to believe this house is rated 4.8. Maybe the Columbia market is more forgiving than others; however, I felt compelled to write this review in fairness to other VRBO stays that actually earned a nearly 5-star rating.
We rented this house for 6 adults and 3 small children to attend a family reunion. We were very disappointed with our stay as this house was extremely dirty, bug-ridden, had inadequate seating for the advertised guest limit, and in poor working condition.
The children slept downstairs but not very well as there were numerous noisy live crickets in the basement. We also found spiders between their bed sheets.
There were cobwebs throughout the house - in the closets, in the basement living quarters, in the windows, in the front porch eves, in the garage, everywhere. The air returns were filled with dust, in excess. The floors and baseboards were so filthy that when I dropped my pillow on the floor, I could no longer use it to sleep. I wish we could post our pictures. I read in a review reply from the host that she has a great cleaning crew and checked personally for spiderwebs. I would recommend re-evaluating the cleaning crew, deep-cleaning the house, and hiring an extermination service for regular maintenance.
A few of the doors did not shut, which was problematic trying to dress in the bedrooms. One bathroom door even had a sign, “Door does shut! Push in toward hinges. That darn humidity.”. If you must put a note on the door, something is wrong. To set the record straight, that door did not shut. Having lived in Columbia for 25 years, and having built the house across the street, humidity is not an excuse for doors not shutting. It is a reason to fix the doors. We had to use a suitcase to keep the doors from opening on their own.
In all fairness, we did not reach out to the host concerning these issues. In all fairness to us, we shouldn’t have had to. We were on vacation and the remedy for this house would require a deep cleaning, fumigation, and some carpentry work on the doors. Not something we could or should have to schedule while on vacation.

We had a few couples visiting the area and this house was a perfect fit. It was clean and well maintained and we’d definitely use it again. Thanks!

Nice house and location, a great spot for four guys to stay on a weeklong work trip to install a piece of equipment. Caitlin was a great host and messaged us to make sure the stay was going well. Clean and plenty of space in the four bedrooms and good common areas. Quiet neighborhood and close to grocery store and restaurants. The right amount of kitchen tools, records, games, etc to be homey but not cluttered. Got a few minutes to see the rock bridge, it was worth the short drive. If I'm through Columbia again with my family, we'll try to stay here, it would be a great house for kids too. Thanks Caitlin!

the house had enough rooms / beds to accommodate our family ... location was excellent to proximity of wedding, basement was great for teenage siblings, Kitchen was well supplied. However, yard was not mowed , cobwebs in house , spiders , main bathtub not completely cleaned upon arrival , and living room lacked comfortable seating.

Quaint and family friendly
This house was super cute inside like the pictures showed. Plenty of space for my sister’s family and I to meet and enjoy the weekend together. We really appreciated the dvd, book and toy collection for our kids. And there was a back yard to play in.

We were in town for our daughter to compete in the MSHSAA State Wrestling Tournament. Our stay was perfect. The night before arrival 6 inches of snow fell and when we arrived at noon. waiting on the porch was a bag of ice melt and a brand new snow shovel. The following day I received a message asking if I wanted the owner to come and shovel the drive for us, even though they might not have been able to get into town to do it because of the icy roads. We were well taken care of for our stay, inside and outside the house. A very welcome oasis in the middle of a snow storm and less than five minutes from the arena where the tournament was being held. Thank you for such an amazing stay!
