About this cabin rental

Private country retreat. Get away from it all and come and play with the sheep , goats horses, chickens and mini horse. Collect fresh eggs for breakfast or sit quietly and listen to the abundant bird life. Take a stroll around the 17 acres or take a 15min drive to Montville or Maroochydore. We are only 3mins from the railway station and happy to pick you up and drop you off. Palmwoods hosts the Famous Ricks Garage for all day eating and the award-winning Palmwoods pub all only 3 mins away . The beautiful Homegrown cafe is in town with 7am yoga on a Saturday and the Medicine man a short stroll around the corner. We have a writers retreat set up with 3 authors already published from their time here. We look forward to you taking a break, breathe , walk, refresh and meeting you soon.

The stand in property managers were delightful people and the accommodation was clean and basic. Not quite the secluded farm stay I imagined but ok anyway. Biggest concern was I specifically chose this property on the basis the listing stated WiFi available which I needed to do online courses, however was unable to access the WiFi in the cabin, so had to set up at the end of the carport with an extension cord to get some connection, but it kept dropping out. Very frustrating and defeated the whole purpose for my booking.

Our stay was amazing here! The cabin was so cute and the bed was super comfy. John and Cath were so lovely, they gave us some bread and carrots for the animals. The animals made the experience!!! So nice to disconnect and stay on land surrounded by nature and animals.

On arrive we were greeted by one of the property owners and the dogs and shown to our room. The room was well presented however after unpacking we tried to access the WIFI in the room to no success, after bring this to the attention of the owners we were informed that the WIFI worked out side of the room not in it. The outside washing machine for the room needed a thorough clean from debris and mould build up and we were not happy using it in that state. We also did a sweep of the kitchen and living area and found dog hair though out. The accumulation of these issues actioned us into finding alternate accommodation for our stay leaving the property that night. We informed the owners of our decision but as they were out they could not directly solve the issues we faced. The property the rooms was situated on was lovely with chickens and goats however with was not enough to convince us to stay.

I had the most incredible stay on this property. I was in the Sunshine Coast travelling alone and Cath and John gave me a warm welcome on their beautiful land. The studio I stayed in was simply perfect, it was spacious, had all the facilities I needed and I felt right at home there. The morning sun and the view of the forest around created a serene sanctuary for my experience. Highly recommended especially if you a female travelling alone, I felt completely safe, had lots of privacy, but also lots of warm smiles and friendly chats with the owner and others renting the studios around. Thank you so much for enhancing my getaway Cath and John. I’ll definitely love to come back.

Absolutely beautiful property, was like a home away from home. Cabin was beautiful and cosy and I honestly couldn’t fault it. Was quiet and relaxing and exactly what I needed. Cath and John were also very accomodating and were available to help with anything I needed.

Quite, peaceful and tranquil. I was in my element with the horses, sheep, goats, chickens and the dogs Remy and Beiber. The hosts Cath and John were amazing people, opening their home and hearts. Thank you, I will be back!

was a nice, safe place for me to sit, as a woman travelling alone for a few days. Nothing flash on outside but clean and nicely decorated inside. Very comfy bed, great shower, good stove, nice trees to look at. Chooks around. Friendly, welcoming hosts, respectful of privacy.

Looking for some Rest and Relaxation away from the hustle and bustle?

Easy booking, just what I was looking for to relax and unwind but just 20-30 minutes maximum to the Coast or the Mountains. Cabin was perfect; more than enough room and facilities for a single or couple. Loved the animals and fresh chook eggs. Lovely friendly hosts. I would stay there again.

This was one of my favourite holidays for awhile! The cabin is comfortable and homey and getting the chance to feed baby goats was such an amazing experience! I definitely recommend staying here and look forward to coming back in the future.

From the personalised welcome sign and chocolates, to the friendly sheep, horses and cow, everything about my stay was delightful. The studio was cozy and comfortable, with everything a single or couple would need for a getaway. As a solo female I felt very safe and relaxed on the property, and the owners were clearly lovely people.

My wife and I enjoyed our two day stay. A very quiet location and so close to the town. Close to the local hotel where the meals were very nice and a very tidy township. A bonus is the interaction with the local farm animals. The cabin has what you want, a big bed and decent shower. Overall an excellent stay.

This was a great place to stay, everyone was welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed the extra touchs of fresh bread, fruit, fresh chicken eggs and actual milk not long life. Great size rooms, everything I need (excempt an iron...lols, but if i asked I am 100% sure I would have recieved one) water pressure fantastic and hot.We feed the chickens and horses it was so lovely. Would reccommend to anyone.

Very welcoming, well maintained, wonderful selection of food items including fresh eggs and home-grown bananas and very comfortable bed. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a peaceful and relaxing get-away.
