Lovely house for our friends weekend!
6.0
A strong recommendation for the hosts are to add split air conditioners. The house was EXTREMELY hot. We could not be inside the house from 11am until about 7pm due to the indoor temperatures reaching the high 80s. There were numerous main windows and a skylight that were extremely challenging to cover with sheets to keep the heat out.
The hosts didn’t have any summer toys so we left some inner tubes we purchased.
Shower items, like shampoos were low end, one bathroom had no body wash, and most of the toilet paper in the house was gone by the time we left.
We were short on towels for the first few days until we found that the dryer was full of them.
There is also a carpenter ant issue inside the house. Our 4 year old played with them a lot, so that was a bonus.
There are hefty check out suggestions, such a stripping all beds.
The patio umbrella was found in the garage on the last day.
BRING BUG SPRAY.
The house was pretty clean, but there were bugs, dust, and cob webs evident- on the stove fan, skylight, and other windows.
The patio did not have an ashtray for smokers.
I would not stay here during the summer again.
It looks much smaller than the ones pictured made it seem, as well. Although multi-floor, space was limited per our expectations.
In addition, the posting claims that the community center was included, but it was $10 per adult with one free adult pass and then $8 for 7-17 year olds. The host was able to help us cover some of these costs.

We found the property generally as advertised with a few issues needing attention:
- The stove is in need of repair/replacement. The left front burner doesn't work at all, and the right front burner works only intermittently
- The screen to the deck is difficult to slide (needs lubrication)
- The cornhole boards are warped and unusable. They should replaced or the website needs to be updated to not include those as amenities.
Other than those issues, it was a pleasant stay in a beautiful location. We stayed at the beginning of July and it was hot and humid. Although the house doesn't have AC, there are plenty of fans to keep the air circulating. A dehumidifier at the ground level kept that level cool and dry. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms throughout the house. Can sleep up to 10 people.

Stayed at the cottage for 4 nights and very happy with the accomodations. Lots of room for our group and the house had all of the amenities of home. Perfect location for exploring the area on motorcycles for the Laconia rally.

The place was great. It looks like they were remodeling but it was comfortable and clean. Would recommend to anyone.

We were very disappointed in this house in multiple ways. The house itself is ok, not great which was surprising given the amazing reviews. The one positive are the cozy fireplaces. The house needs some updating and has an old carpet throughout the main floor. The main floor is small and the house is very vertical. The kitchen has only the basics and the shower on the main floor didnt have any shower supplies, not even soap. But the biggest issue with the house was that it is listed on multiple rental websites and was double booked. At 8:30 at night when our kids were in bed, a man showed up at the house saying he also had it booked. Upon calling the host, she apologized and helped him find another property, but it was a terrible way to start the trip. The host called me after to apologize and offered us "a few community center passes". I would have expected a bit more given we had a random man in our living room at 8:30 at night with kids sleeping since the house was double booked. We will definitely not be back.

We were in town for a wedding and a few of us decided to split the cost for a house instead of hotel rooms. We were so happy we did. The house was in a beautiful area and was perfect for what we needed. Lots of space to spread out. Very clean and comfortable. Felt like home away from home. My 10 year old son was sad we were leaving and requested we stay there again some day. Host were friendly and responsive to any questions. It really made for an enjoyable few days. Would definitely stay there again if we traveled back that way.

Our stay in Waterville Valley was wonderful! I can’t say enough great things, the house was clean and inviting. Great location and had everything our large family needed for our weekend stay. The homeowners were so responsive when I messaged with a couple questions and their suggestions prepared in the home for where to eat were much appreciated! Perfect little getaway!

We rented this property for a wedding/family reunion. The three comfortable living room areas worked out wonderfully. The main living area, dining, kitchen, and large outdoor deck accommodated us well for evening cookouts on the grill!

Nice stay in White Mountains
We stayed at this rental in July. There were enough bedrooms for all of us & plenty of space due to living areas on all 3 floors. The kitchen is small. If someone has the fridge open, is loading the dishwasher, throwing away trash, or rinsing a dish, you’ll get stuck. It’s really a 1 person kitchen, which makes meals for a family difficult, as people move around/in & out to get a drink or put something in the sink, etc. One thing I think the owners of the property really need to address is the bear situation. Every single night we stayed there, we had bear visitors to the dumpster adjacent to the garage. We ended up not using the outdoor space or having a fire/making s’mores because of the frequent bear activity in the driveway, even during daylight. I think the owner has a responsibility to install bear proof dumpsters to deter them from frequenting the property. There was a lid on the dumpster when we arrived, but it was very simple for the bear to remove it. Most people knowledgeable about bears state that feeding bears, even inadvertently through your trash, is bad for them as they become more emboldened to approach humans. I worry for both guests to the property & the bears. We stayed in July during a heat wave. It was hot. My daughters stayed in the upstairs loft. The owner does provide fans, which is nice. That being said, I might look for a listing that includes air conditioning units for our next summer rental. Sleeping wasn’t always pleasant. The downstairs bedroom was the coolest, but it was also really moist downstairs. I did notice a dehumidifier downstairs but it definitely wasn’t doing the trick. It was musty and had that “basement smell.” So, even though that bedroom was the coolest, we all slept upstairs. I think overall the airflow and hvac (minus the ac part haha) situation could stand to be evaluated. The house was well stocked with towels & the beds were pretty comfortable. The house was clean. There was a bit of trouble with the passes to the community center & some back&forth with the owner before we gained access to the pool, but we did eventually swim. I’m not sure if access to the center will continue to be part of the listing moving forward because it seemed like a bit of a hassle to gain entry. Even after the owner called the center & we arrived with assurances, it was a challenge to get in. I think the woman the owner spoke to was not the same as the woman at the desk that day. We had fun at flume, lost river, etc

Great Location in New Hampshire
We had a great time at this house. Very clean, lots of room, great gas woodstoves. Communication with Lorena was easy and responsive.
There were nice places to eat right down the hill in Campton, including the Mad River Tavern. We also really enjoyed the local microbrewery - Dam Brewhouse
The location is very convenient to both Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley. We spent a day at each.
Defiantly recommend this house for families or big groups. We are looking forward to going back next winter

Great location for skiing
House was exactly as represented in the listing. Very close to Waterville and Loon Ski Resorts. House was clean and well kept. The development is in a relatively hilly area so it was nice having the 4 wheel drive to access the property.

A weekend in the mountains
A group of friends up to hike The Franconia Ridge Trail. The house had plenty of space we enjoyed hanging out in the tv room upstairs. There was plenty to do near by. The Mad River Tavern near by was a great spot for dinner.
