About this house rental

This beautiful home is perfect for large groups and families. It features a large open-concept living area complete with breathtaking panoramic views of Torch Lake, perfect for watching the sunset from the comfort of the couch. The house is equipped with two full kitchens great for entertaining, a laundry room and keypad access to a two car garage.

The interior of the home is handicap accessible, with access to an Acorn Stairlift between floors upon request.

New LVP installed downstairs fall of 2023.

Outside amenities include a massive yard perfect for activities such as frisbee, volleyball and badminton. A covered concrete porch extends off the front of the house complete with a grill and outdoor seating. S’mores can be roasted over the fire pit located near access to the dock and speedboat hoist.

The property is situated at the northern end of the lake, about forty minutes away from the sandbar by speedboat. Under a 20 minute drive to Short’s Brewing Company and less than 10 minutes to both Mammoth Distillery and Cellar 1914. Within short driving distance to Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain/Boyne Mountain for golf and skiing. 20 minutes from Charlevoix and 45 minutes from Traverse City and Petoskey.

The house was great. Very spacious for our large group with very clean rooms and updated bathrooms. If you fill out the house, the bathrooms can get congested but not a big deal for us. Fire pit outside was great and owner even dropped off wood for us to use it. Great outdoor area for seating right on the lake with easy access to dock. Only negative was the next door neighbor was doing house renovations during the day and it was so loud we couldn’t sit outside. Would stay here again but hopefully not with more nearby construction

Our family had an unforgettable week at this charming rental house on Torch Lake. Nestled among towering pine trees, the house was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had stunning views of the crystal-clear water. Each morning, we woke up to the soothing sounds of the waves, sipping coffee on the deck, overlooking the crystal blue water. We spent our days boating, swimming, and laughing around the fire pit in the evenings, watching the sunset across the lake, sharing stories, enjoying our wine and making s'mores. The house was equipped with everything we needed, from a grill for our barbecues to cozy beds that provided a restful night's sleep after our fun-filled days. We explored nearby marinas and restaurants and even ventured into a quaint local town, Charlevoix, for dinner and drinks. Our time at Torch Lake reminded us of the importance of family and spending time together. It was a peaceful escape from our busy lives, and as we packed our bags for the trip home, we all agreed that we couldn’t wait to return next summer!

What a great week we had at Torch Lake! The weather was great - the accommodations were excellent - plenty of room for everyone with a beautiful view of the lake out front. Dawn had timely responses to my questions prior to our trip and provided the information needed for a relaxing stay. This was the first time that my family was able to get away and all be together. This home was perfect, even though the weather wasn’t on our side. My mom has mobility challenges, so having accessible features ensured she was able to have a comfortable experience. My nephews, age 2 and 4, loved watching the boats and ducks go by. The home is really in a prime, beautiful location, and the neighbor next door was so kind and let us fly kites off her dock! Dawn was so easy to work with throughout and was quick to respond if we had any questions. Thank you for a lifetime of memories, I cannot recommend this home highly enough!

Our group of 3 moms and our teen girls had a great time during our 1st trip to Torch Lake, and the location was perfect with everything so close. The sunsets each night were amazing! The kitchen was stocked, layout of the house was great, the girls loved all staying upstairs together in their own space with their own kitchen and living room space. We would stay again for sure the next time we are wanting another trip to Torch. Thank you Dawn for making it so easy. Make sure you go to Kings Orchard just 5 minutes away and pick what is in season! It's adorable.

Excellent location and value for this home as we wanted to explore Shanty Creek and Bellaire/Central Lake area. Well-appointed and comfortable house and fun location right on Torch Lake. Only knock would be that none of the beds were queen sized as some were advertised. We made do and really enjoyed ourselves.

This rental has everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are air mattresses and plenty of extra bedding. The yard is spacious. The dock has a buoy for a boat. There are plenty of towels, including supplied beach towels. The neighborhood is lovely, setting is a quiet road. There wasn’t one thing that we needed. Highly recommend this rental! We have rented many places and this one was by far the best in regards to space, supplies, location and cleanliness.

We had two families - a total of 10 - vacationing at this home for the week. The weather was mostly cloudy and raining but still lots to do in the surrounding area like shopping in Traverse City or wine tasting at Torch Lake Cellars. There was plenty of room in the home to spread out- some of the family played games and did puzzles while others read on the back covered patio to enjoy the lake views. With two families it was excellent to have two kitchens and two refrigerators. The upstairs kitchen could use an update on appliances, but all was functional. We ended up doing majority of the cooking downstairs or on the grill to help the upstairs not get so warm. Great big side yard in which we set up a volleyball net and nice dock for us to enjoy watching family play on our boat and paddle boards that we brought up for the two days we had nice weather. Definitely needed water shoes when walking around in the water due to the rocky bottom in front of the property, but otherwise Torch Lake has the most beautiful, clear waters. Will definitely try to enjoy a stay at this home again!

Dawn was so accommodating with all of our questions and needs, also great suggestions for local restaurants, etc! Great host! We loved the home and lake and so did our dogs!! I stayed here for the months of Feb and March and felt like I was in a paradise retreat. I worked from the house during the week, and my family, and friends, came up on weekends. The views of Torch are INCREDIBLE. The house is much bigger than it looks in the pics. More than enough room for two families with the upstairs having another kitchen. Dawn was very prompt and accommodating. I highly recommend this place either in the winter or summer. It will become a favorite memory. Enjoy!

We were pleasantly surprised at how much more spacious the house was than the pictures showed. We also really appreciated the high level of cleanliness. The second living room was perfect for our pod of 3 families. The property manager was very responsive, which was great because there was a water leak when one of us tried to take a bath upstairs. I'm confident it was addressed because I received a call later asking for details because the plumber was there a couple days after we left. Would stay again, the house doesn't not stock laundry detergent and or extra paper towels FYI.
