Excellent. Found Hayfield lovely. Walked to the reservoir. Good scenery on Monsal Trail but too many bikes.

We arrived quite late and the cottage unfortunately had a power cut due to electrical works.
The hosts advised they were two hours away so we went to a restaurant and approx 1.5hrs later the hosts said they had driven back to move us to an alternative cottage.
We were so grateful as it was late and cold.
These hosts were incredible and the property was wonderful. They offered to buy us dinner because of the inconvenience but we said this wasnt their fault it was just one of those things. They could not have done anymore for us.

Perfect snug bolt hole for a stay in the Peaks; hillside walks straight from the cottage and stunning views around. Main road is noisy but expected that from reading other reviews.

A fantastic short break in a well equipped property. Beautiful walks straight from the door.

Very nice, cozy little studio in a lovely countryside. Only tiny little downside was busy road right outside but that was manageable. Would recommend

Property was very welcoming. Great location for walks just a little too close to a main road for us.

Excellent location for walking
Studio apartment was lovely and cosy. Linda and Keith had provided everything including bread, milk and a bottle of wine.
Step outside and walk along the path at the back of the garden straight onto the Pennine way. Lovely walk to Kinder Scout and fantastic views.
Will definitely stay again.

Amazing Location
We had a wonderful few days staying here, the views are amazing and it is the perfect location for long walks in the Kinder Valley. The apartment is unfortunately right on the main road which was quite noisy and we had to be extra careful with our dog. There is however a little fenced garden on the entrance side and access straight out to the Peaks.
The central heating was very good and kept the apartment lovely and hot which was needed on the cold evenings and return from long walks.
The Wifi and 4G signals were a bit unreliable which was ok for us but might not be great if you need to work from this location.
Lots of places to eat and drink locally even for me as a vegan.
If you are looking for a simple, clean, warm apartment as a base, then this is a great place to stay!

Excellent Accommodation
Fantastic little cottage with all the amenities. Loved all the little touches that made us feel welcome. The local village of Hayfield is very nice and you couldn't ask for a better place to stay in the High Peaks. Thank you both for a lovely stay

Good location for walking in very pretty area.
Compact but comfortable studio flat set in really pretty area. Excellent location for walking, just straight out of the door so we hardly used the car all week. Plenty of good pubs to choose from locally. Our only comment would be traffic noise as next to a busy road but we do live in a very rural location so not a sound we are used to hearing.

Lovely property close to some great walks.

Hayfield abnb
A comfortable and well equipped property with lots of little extra homely and welcoming touches. Perfect for a short stay, you need transport to get into Hayfield unless you want quite a long walk all the way downhill into Hayfield but all uphill coming back! Easy to order a taxi from Hayfield which we did one night.
A surprisingly busy road next to property.

Lovely little studio
This was our first visit to the Peak District, just sorry we didn't make the trip before, we've missed so much. Beautiful scenery, wonderful walks and Hayfield View holiday cottage was the icing on the cake. Small and cosy with lovely views from the window. Linda the owner was lovely. She even said sorry for not leaving biscuits for our dog, but rushed off to get some. There is everything you might need for your stay, including a welcome pack of bread, milk, cereal and butter. All in all a lovely place to stay. Thank you Linda.

Perfect!
Great cottage in an superb location! Everything we needed. Booking and check in process was great, good instructions and communication from the owners, the cottage is next to their house but still felt like we had privacy. Had awful weather during our stay, would love to come back and appreciate it to the full in nicer weather where you could actually see the views!

Would highly recommend this place! Hosts were lovely and very helpful. Lots of additional elements in the apartment like breakfast, loads of toiletries, wifi, and information on what is best to do in the Peak District.

Lovely little gem
A lovely little countryside holiday let complete with gorgeous views and easy access to some great walks’ especially the magnificent kinder scout. Many thanks to Linda & Kieth.

Hilly Paradise
Extremely attractive little love nest with awesome views all around, we absolutely loved every minute! It is ideal for walkers/cyclists due to being right on a track which goes to several places including Kinder Scout for the more adventurous hikers. So many thinks to do in such a small region, the Peak District could never be boring, and this Studio is perfectly situated to take advantage of it all. The owners are extremely friendly and so very helpful, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We will return!

Comfortable, cosy and nestled in a lovely area
We were very snug ,comfortable and warm in this little gem of a studio, where there was everything we needed, even a little hamper of provisions and some extra special thoughtful touches too, thank you Linda for all those, so kind. Situated in a lovely area, with walks from the door, several good pubs not far away and a wonderful view from our breakfast table window, all in all what more could we have asked for.

Wonderful week
A return visit to the peak District was on my bucket and this lovely studio did not disappoint. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you need including some added extras such as a nice welcome food basket of bread , milk , biscuits , tea coffee etc and even treats for the dog . The audio was plenty big enough for the pair of us and our large dog . Comfy bed , good shower , well equipped kitchen and a breakfast bar with stunning views .you have a small enclosed garden with seating to enjoy a drink or meal in or watch the stunning sunsets over the hills.
Linda and keith were both very pleasant and helpful supplying home made cake , a BBQ and even oiling my squeaking car boot lid .
Set in a perfect location for exploring all of the peak District with for example castleton and ladybower reservoir within 15 minutes drive and Hayfield just down the road with plenty of walks available including kinder scout and the sett valley trail . And of course you don't need to drive anywhere as the Pennine bridleway and footpaths towards Edale and Kinder scouts were literally out of the back gate .
There were too many good pubs nearby to mention but the sportsman in Hayfield was a great place to celebrate getting up and down from kinder scout and the home cooked food was excellent .
If your looking for a great location to explore the peak District we would thoroughly recommend Hayfield view , we certainly intend retuning some time .

Well maintained nicely appointed small studio above 2 car garage in great area
We've stayed in seven weekly cottages on this UK trip and similarly over there last four years (7-8 weekly rentals average) in various locations throughout the UK, Ireland and Italy. The prices varied minimally among all of them with any number less costly, but this one, well equipped as it is, feels deceptively (from the photos) smaller than imagined. We'd anticipating more of a large room cottage for the tariff, especially factoring what we have so often and consistently experienced within or below the given economics.
We've never stayed in anything approaching so confined a living space. The measurements (as in walking about) come to approximately 12 by 14 feet, as an unseen double garage in front takes up the whole lower level, leaving a climb to a particularly pinched pitched roof studio above.
This apartment is more suitable for a weekend as we determine it, far less so a mildly claustrophobic week, factoring road noises as well. Between two to four other cars were parked outside, yet oddly not one person was in sight but for that initial one of our total seven days. We'd knocked and looked in for advice/help next door (which the owners suggested upon meeting) over a few different days, but gave up, seeing nobody again over our entire stay.
It's the single "cottage" we've experienced since 2013 which left us with a less than positive feeling in terms of value and expectations both immediately and afterwards. Being smartly decored including a singular window's lovely view, with a handily accessible location, and a positive initial greeting by landlady got our rating up to middling. Dogs are allowed for those so inclined.

Tranquility at its best
The little studio apartment was comfortable, modern and clean, in a beautiful part of the Peak Distrct, where you can walk straight from the front door. We really enjoyed our stay and luckily the weather was on our side. Our hosts were very welcoming and left some delicious cakes and a few items to start our stay.
If we were to come to the area again, we would not hesitate to contact them.

What a wonderful location , great landscapes, walks over the peaks, very relaxing holiday
From the time we arrived our hosts Linda & Keith were so hospitable toward us. The studio was home from home it had everything you needed and more. All the little food & drink extras were a bonus.

Perfect location, well equipped and cosy cottage for a getaway!
Linda and Keith were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is well equipped and a great location to spend time back with nature. If you don’t want to step foot in the car there is no need to here. The cottage is lovely and warm and meals cook amazingly quick in the gas oven! There are plenty of places to eat around although we cooked and prepared all our meals in the cottage.
I am certain this won’t be the last time we see Linda and Keith!

Lovely little studio in good location for the Peak District
This small studio apartment is certainly big enough for two adults and a large dog that we had with us. In excellent condition with fantastic vies from the window across fields towards Hayfield. The owners could not be nicer and certainly go the extra to make sure everything is provided. Upon arrival we were met with milk and butter in the fridge, A selection of cereals, bread together with a small bottle of wine and a bottle of beer and of course a bowl of treats for the dog. There were loads of other small useful items (too many to list) provided as well as a large selection of toiletries in the bathroom. The shower was probably one of the best I nhave had in rented property and certainly provided a good supply of hot water. There is plenty of parking at the front of the property and the small enclosed garden is more than adequate for a dog with a very large field some 20 meters away which is fully fenced and secure for the dog to run around in. There are so many walks direct from the property it is possible to stay there for a few days and not actually use the car. Hayfield is a small village with a good supply of small shops and plenty of pubs most of which allow dogs and have good beer and food at a reasonable price. Overall, a great studio ideally suited for walkers with or without a dog and fantastic hosts who certainly ensure that the stay is relaxing. Would certainly stay there again.
