My family of 4 and our dog loved the Pearl in the Pines. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by beautiful views and is a short drive to many different restaurants and activities.
The kayaks and bikes that come with the house were an extra bonus. It was easy to get the kayaks to the neighborhood boat launch area. We did not need a car to transport them there. There are detachable wheels that clip onto the boats, making it easy to walk the boats around the corner to the boating area. Another bonus was the screened-in porch, where we ate our meals and enjoyed our morning coffee.
The place was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The house came with every amenity you could think of and was well stocked with paper products and towels. Our host put a lot of thought into making it an easy and relaxing vacation for us. We are looking to come back next summer to do more kayaking and bird watching.

This little gem of a house was perfect for our family of 4 (adults). It was just the right size for us. So glad we had the kayaks and bikes to use and greatly appreciated the central air conditioning. The layout of the Kitchen dining and family room allowed us to be together and even watch movies together which
hasn't happened in quite awhile Thanks Pearl in the Pines.

Nice house with a couple of small flaws. It also was a bit farther away from Maddox than we thought it would be for bike riding & too far to the boat ramp for us to carry the kayaks. But we still enjoyed our stay.

Not only did this home fit our needs, but came with bicycles and kayaks to enhance our visit. Our kids enjoyed riding around the neighborhood and kayaking. It is minutes from all other activities this charming town had to offer. Property managers were wonderful and easy to work with. Everything in the home worked well!

This is a lovely place that is stocked with much more than we expected. Everything we needed for cooking was available, including spices and vegetable oil. The large screened porch was also a wonderful feature.

The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Two of us rode bike the 4.5 mile stretch to the beach which was my favorite part of the trip. Nice trails at the wildlife refuge and short hike to the lighthouse. We even got to go inside and walk the 175 steps to the top.

This house came exactly as advertised and was stocked very well with kitchen supplies, spices, towels, bedding, etc... The owners were very communicative, had EVERYTHING labeled light switches, and cabinets). The range and oven are fantastic if you are familiar with induction ranges (i.e. the burner will not heat anything until you have a pot or pan sitting on it- and it gets hot FAST. The screened in porch and patio with firepit we're outstanding and you're tucked back into deep hole road, where you can get away from the more touristy strip of Maddox Blvd if you like. We had our pups with us and had a great time. I highly recommend!

The house is very warm inviting and comfortable. Very clean and smelled amazing. I don’t think I have ever stayed at a rental that supplied as much as this owner did. Washing power, extra tooth brushes, coffee and plenty of cooking spices. I love to cook and I found myself wanting to move the silver ware closer to the stove, which by the way boils water in less than a minute. Great experience!

I took my family here for a vacation to celebrate our mom's birthday. The house is in a lovely and quiet location. It's very clean, comfortable, and well organized with so many amenities. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the island. Great hosts and awesome communication. Would love to visit again.

We had 6 people and the house was just right! The hosts were very communicative and made the stay easy! The location was perfect for us, a bit out of the way but just a quick drive to Maddox. We loved the screened in porch!

My husband and I invited my mom and two friends to vacation with us at Pearl in the Pines. Check-in couldn’t be any easier. Ann left a welcome note, which was much appreciated. The house was super clean. I loved not having to worry about sheets and towels. So many incidentals are provided with this house like plastic wrap, trash bags, shampoo, etc. Ann checked in with us after we arrived and offered to provide recommendations on things to do. Location is awesome--quiet private waterside community. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time staying at the Pearl. The pictures do not do it justice! Ann and Jim were great to deal with and they even set up a few decoration's and had some cupcakes (that were absolutely delicious) waiting for us upon arrival as we were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday! Perfect family getaway. Even the dogs had a great time! we would definitely love to come back some day!

We had a great time surprising my MIL with a birthday getaway on CI. The house was clean and comfortable and the hosts very thoughtfully left a little birthday gift for the guest of honor.
Planning our stay was easy and the hosts communicated professionally and promptly. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Super clean, well appointed, comfy beds. The Assateague beach was completely deserted. We walked on the beach in the brilliant sunshine. It was glorious!

My daughter and I enjoyed our time at Ann's home. We loved that everything in the kitchen was labeled! That was a big help. My morning coffee overlooking the water and all the birds was a delight. The home is close to everything, but it felt removed enough to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The home had all the comforts & then some we didn't expect but enjoyed! The location was perfect for us as it was near our daughter-in-law's family home on the island. The outdoor fire pit was a hit with our grandkids with many s'mores made!
If we plan on another Thanksgiving celebration on the island next year we would defiantly stay here again.

We had a great time at this peaceful location. Loved enjoying a cup of coffee on the screened in porch each morning. The property is spotless, well stocked and wonderful location. My three teens all loved our trip and asked to come back in future for longer duration.

Beautiful home, peaceful neighborhood with Owner nearby ready to help if the need arises. We enjoyed our stay on Chincoteague Island very much and will be back. This pet friendly home is lovely and well equipped. We were there for pony penning so we didn't utilize the bikes but I could see staying a week, just relaxing enjoying the island. Thank you Ann for a wonderful stay at your amazing cottage in the pines.

We enjoyed the proximity to the water access for SUP and kayaks. Great communication with owners. Enjoyed fire pit and biking to watch sunset and we also had an early morning bike ride to the beach. Many of the restaurants were closed early in the week when we visited. I think this was due to lack of help. I am glad we were able to visit this quaint island.

We were very happy with the whole experience during our stay. The property was clean, organized and had everything that we needed. Everything throughout the house was labeled which made it easy to find what we needed. This was on a quiet side of the island, but still convenient to everything. We didn’t need much, but got quick responses any time that we reached out to Ann. Already thinking about staying here again next year.

Comfortable Stay!
Love the place! A lot of room and fully furnished kitchen. They have everything prepared for you, just in case! Love the fact that everything is labeled, you have no idea how helpful it is, instead of checking all the drawers and cabinets and closets looking for a single item!

Quiet family get away spot
The home is lovely with lots of personal touches that make it feel like you are staying with friends not renting a house. We especially enjoyed the well stocked kitchen. There are a nice variety of pans and dishes as well as spices that make it easy to bake and cook meals. There is also a brutal water pitcher which our family enjoyed. We would stay here again!

Nice place. Need bigger beds for more than 2 adults. Nice extras with bikes and kayaks and crabbing equipment. Large outdoor table on the screened porch to eat outside on. Too much glass for toddlers. Would stay here again.

A Chincoteague Pearl for sure!
Just pack your bags and go! Everything is included here- bed linens, bath towels, toilet paper, dish soap, even shampoo and body wash is in the bathrooms. Ann and Jim have made it so easy to vacation in their lovely house. We had 6 adults (& a dog) and there was plenty of room. The decor is so bright and airy and the screened porch is perfect for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening! The porch and dining tables both sat 8, so there was always elbow room, and there were plenty of kitchen dishes and utensils. Even a crockpot and 2 coffee makers plus coffee... So nice! The inckuded kayaks and bikes were a great bonus as well. Pearl is in a quiet waterfront community but close to everything,.so getting around the island was easy and fast. I would absokitely recommend this house to anyone visiting Chincoteague. We are already thinking about dates for next year!
