We loved our brief stay. Our kids met us and we all agreed it felt like “home”. We enjoyed the fireplace and comfy atmosphere. The property was extremely clean and tidy. All the amenities made our stay relaxing. We enjoy cooking together and played dominos. Great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The cabin offers the most amazing views! Very nice outdoor setting with the fireplace and grill. Inside of cabin is very nicely stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The owner, Kathy, was very accommodating as our trip had to be prolonged due to automobile issues. We look forward to returning in the fall when the leaves are at peak color. Overall, one of the best cabins we have ever rented.

It was very pleasant and relaxing and very cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed the inside fireplace and the scenery. We kept the sliding glass door opened and the kitchen window opened the entire stay. One morning, it was clear enough to see the sun rise over the mountain from the bed. Just magical!

Me, my husband and sister and her boyfriend stayed in this cabin for the weekend. We had a really great time the cabin was great. Only complaint would be the very steep driveway and limited parking. Plenty of great shops and restaurants in the area. Over all we had a great time and would definitely come back. I recommend Evolve for your next trip, they are very friendly and respond instantly to what ever you need. Thanks for a Great Weekend!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable, and everything as advertised. Also the property contact, Kathy, was very helpful with questions we had.
What we did not like was the booking agent, Evolve. Their additional fees were high, especially the required property damage coverage we did not request. We love Maggie Valley and visit there several times each year but we will not book a property through Evolve again.

We loved getting out of the Florida heat. The outdoor covered deck with the sound of the running creek was the best part!!

Lovely private cabin with great covered porch!
Very clean and fully equipped cabin next to mountain stream - loved the sound of water as we enjoyed the large covered Pavillion and dinner on the deck overlooking mountains. Clean and comfortable. Nicely equipped kitchen and very responsive host. This was a cut above many places we have rented in the area. Had the extras that made our stay very enjoyable.

Slice of Heaven on Earth
If you have ever thought about renting a property that was high atop a mountain, this is your place! The location is not for the faint of heart and not the easiest to find if using your GPS. The house is located at the very end of Old Still Rd and the driveway to the house is very steep. We did not have any problem getting our truck up the driveway but be forewarned that there is no room at the top to turn anything other than a sports car around, so you may be backing down the driveway when you leave. (I would NOT recommend this locations for anyone riding a motorcycle.)
The property is well stocked with just about everything you would need. Bring all your food up in the first trip and you may never have to leave until you go home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils and appliances you would ever need and there is a Weber Grill on the deck for outdoor cooking. The deck that is located on the side of the house has plenty of comfortable seating and is a great place to have your AM coffee or PM cocktail. The waterfall and stream that flow near by have a very calming effect while looking out over the mountain side. If you play golf, Maggie Valley CC is located at the bottom of Country Club Drive and the course was in excellent condition. When you get acclimated to going up and down the mountain side, everything in Maggie Valley is easily accessible from this location. The bottom line is that this home is in a great location with beautiful views of the mountains. The location has it's challenges but is well worth some inconvenience for the seclusion and serenity that you will get from your stay here.
PROS:
- Beautiful views of the mountains
- Quiet and very peaceful
- Well Stocked
- WIFI works very well from all locations of the home.
- Beds are very comfortable
- Waterfall and stream nearby.
- Hiking trail (only for those that can climb)
- Peaceful
CONS:
- Driveway is a challenge
- Lots of Stairs
- Not a place for Motorcycles

Lovely hideaway
A real hideaway for anyone looking to get away. The sounds of the nearby waterfall were so soothing. All of the furniture was comfy, and we were close enough to do so many outdoor activities. It had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway.

Our family had a a great stay over the new year, very clean and one of the best stocked homes we have stayed at. Gorgeous views, and so peaceful with the sounds from the nearby creek. Would definitely return.

True Mountain Getaway
We had a wonderful time, the rental was great. In the colder months all wheel drive will be a must, beautiful mountain and valley views, very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting around the fireplace at night and listening to the stream from the outside deck. Kathy was wonderful with any questions we had. The property is right in the center of everything and we will come back again!!

Good Location for Cataloochie Ski Area
The location and listing were accurate, great views from the top of the mountain. We had to contact the owner about an issue and they sent someone out that morning to resolve it. However it didn’t appear to be thoroughly cleaned between visits. A blanket smelled like dog urine and had to be washed before use, as well as there being dirty dishes pulled out of the cabinets.

New Years cabin
Beautiful cabin. Spacious enough to easily accommodate our group of 5 adults comfortably. Great views from the front and side decks. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Driveway is steep and could be problematic during snow/ice weather. Still highly recommended.

Beautiful (and Quiet)!
This property offered an exceptional and quiet view of Maggie Valley -- a really special place with a very accommodating guest contact. Our only recommendations for the owner would be to include a couple more cooking pots in the kitchen, but that's it.

Hilltop serenity!
Villa l'Abri was the perfect choice for our two-week stay in Western NC! We needed a place that was modern enough to accommodate two busy people's wifi demands (so we could both work effectively the first week), but rustic enough to let us relax and enjoy our time off during the second week. At the top of a steep hill, and surrounded by multiple streams plunging downhill and providing a peaceful soundtrack to our stay, Villa l'Abri was just the ticket. Beautiful views of the mountains and sunrise, along with mist rolling through the valley below. This is a hidden gem!
