Such a wonderful location! Easy access to walking trails, lots of restaurants close by. House was very cozy and comfortable. Doug, our host, was an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. I would definitely rent it again!

The cottage was just as described, it was well-equipped, and comfortable. The wood-burning stove in the front room got a lot of use, and was a nice feature for rainy days. The location was excellent, close to the village centre, and we were able to park just outside all but one day. There were four of us (adults), which was about right, as we were inside a lot due to the weather. It might feel a bit crowded with more, depending on whether you were out and about. It was excellent value split between us anyway. The steep stairs might be a risk for young children, but they gave us a good practice for climbing the moors! Doug was easy to deal with, though we didn't meet. If I come back to Hayfield I'd use this property again.
