Quaint, quiet & clean - no complaints

Simple door code to enter, all details provided ahead of arrival. Property was quaint & understated, off-street parking & generally quiet. Perfectly fit what we needed / as it was advertised.

Everything we needed- space and location the highlights.

Karen was very thoughtful, accommodating our requests. It was great to have a washing machine & a clothesline out the back. The Red Door has 3 bedrooms and all beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We sat on the front porch in the sun to eat breakfast. It's only a short walk to the centre of town & the lakes are nearby, too. The owners acknowledge that it is an old property and are gradually sprucing it up. We were very comfortable there -it's a great location.

The light in the kitchen is strong but isn't well placed to illuminate the kitchen bench as you are preparing food & cooking.

Comfortable, quiet and great for what we wanted - just the one night to break up the travelling.

Great location, Easy to park off street. Comfortable and quiet.

The information sheet could do with updating - talked about transfer fan and combustion heater, which have been removed. Blinds very thin and a bit broken and it looked like they were part way through patching the wall following removing the combustion heater.

A home away from home

Minutes away from the city attractions. massive backyard for kids to play and adults to hang around.

Rooms can get a bit warm, but nothing a fan can't fix.

Very creaky floorboards made it a bit noisy.

Very comfortable home away from home.

My son liked the BBQ and having their own rooms. The beds were very comfortable and warm. The kitchen and laundry was well equipped.

There was really nothing we didn’t like.

Ideal locatoin for families with kids or for a group of friends.

Dave was at the property before we were there and explained thoroughly about the appliances and the amenities nearby. WiFi, laundry and full kitchen is available in this property.

All the facilities offered by the host were perfect for our stay and there is nothing that we did not like.

Great house and nice and quiet at night. Good location close to everything. Host was very accommodating with early check-in due to Booking.com listing the time incorrectly.

Windows could do with a clean but otherwise no issues.

great cottage with all you need in a great location

the property was well equipped had everything we needed and it was close to the shops and a concert venue so we could walk home afterwards

when you rent a property it is sufficient to have a book with instructions for the house and check out times etc and how to use things. the contact with the owner should be minimal ie email/text no need for personal visits

Wonderful Home

The house was clean, inviting and excellent for our toddler to crawl around in. The shower was amazing, the host was super friendly and kind. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Relaxing and awesome stay

Excellent Location within a 5-10 minute walk to central Mt Gambier and shops, coffee and places to eat, also right next to an awesome walking and cycling trail and very close to the Blue Lake and other attractions. Thoroughly Recommend

The location is excellent. Short walk to supermarket and eating out venues. Great base for sightseeing options in the area.

I enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to others.

Wendy is a great host. She made a point of meeting us and running us through the facilities in the house.

Unfortunately, the WiFi was not working when we arrived. It was fixed in a couple of days.

Finding peace and tranquility at Mount Gambier

Wendy was fantastic, she thought of everything including meeting us to do a quick run through to help. she was very knowledgeable and gave some great ideas to other places to visit in the area. The location was very central and it was easy to find supermarkets, sights and other locations The accommodation was perfect for our needs and there were even added bonuses that helped to make our time there easier. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to stay there. Thanks Wendy for allowing us to sty at your lovely place

Wendy did let us know that there was no wifi at that stage and as we have teen children this is the only thing important to them. We did attempt to connect but it just wouldn't work. I'm sure when the next people are there this will be fixed and it didn't impact on our visit it made the kids actually play board games with us instead.

if looking for accommodation in Mt. Gambier again, I would hope this little cottage was available again.

clean, tidy, well equipped, quiet, private

I felt a little unsafe climbing into and out of the shower. i feel it would benefit from the installation of a grab rail for support. we were unable to lock the bedroom window, also causing us to feel a little unsafe.

amazing, warm and cozy, Wendy was a absolute pleasure to deal with

warm cozy house with everything you need and big enough for us with our twins and all our stuff as well, and Wendy was so accomodating with supplying a port a cot and linen etc.

everything about the property was lovely, we have no complaints what so ever.

Lovely place for a family getaway

Excellent location, quiet but close to the CBD. Very cute and inviting house. Friendly host. Breakfast included.

Unheated toilet/laundry area was very cold, particularly overnight (when temperatures dropped to 1-2 degrees).
