About this house rental
Just 30 minutes from Clemson with private dock on deep, year-round water!
Walk up to the front door past the bistro set where you'll later enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking beautiful Lake Hartwell.
Inside on the main level you will find an open area combining a super comfortable sitting area with room for the whole family, and the dining area, with seating for six at the table, along with two bar stools at the breakfast bar. In the kitchen, you'll have everything you need, with a coffee pot, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. The side-by-side fridge makes ice quickly to keep your drinks cool on those hot days out at the lake.
But that's not what you came for, is it? Outside the sliders, you'll find a huge, screened-in porch with great views down to the LAKE. Two ceiling fans keep you cool when it's hot and there is plenty of seating for whatever you want to do, whether it be relaxing, eating, drinking, or even playing games. A three-burner Weber grill is just outside the porch to handle those tasty grill nights!
Back inside, you'll find stairs to a large loft that has a queen sleeper sofa and comfy chair, plus a game table, and a 43" TV connected to Dish Satellite Television. A couple ceiling fans make sure the temperature stays just right.
On the main level, down the hallway are the master bedroom with a king-size bed, and the McCoy bedroom with queen. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom - one with a tub and one with an easy-access shower. All bathrooms have towels, hair dryers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and makeup removers.
Head downstairs to the HUGE rec room. There is a combo pool/ping-pong table and bar area on one side, with comfy furniture and a 60" TV (with Dish Satellite Television) on the other. Down the hallway here, you'll find a bathroom, the Cave (queen bedroom), the Bunker (two twin bunk beds), and the laundry room. In the hall closet, you will find a pack-and-play, booster seat, first aid kit, some lake toys, and plenty of lake towels.
Back out to the rec room, you'll see two sliders giving you access to the covered patio, with another table and plenty of chairs for hanging out. You're also right above the firepit area, which is surrounded by hanging lights for the perfect ambience.
Travel down the mulch path to the floating dock with plenty of room to sit, swing, jump in the water, and park your boat. There are two tandem kayaks on the walkway, plus a single for kids or smaller adults - remember to wear your life vest; there are some in the dock box. There is room to park your boat in the slip with the lift, or on either side of the dock. The water is 15 feet deep at the end of the dock at full pool (660'), and the channel is a solid 25-27 feet all the way across. Bring your fishing rods - or borrow ours - and see what you can catch right off the dock.
You will also have access to the Foxwood Hills Clubhouse, which is only half a mile away. During the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day), you can use the Olympic size pool, which was recently redone. There are also tennis/pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a nice playground for little ones. If you don't feel like cooking, stop in Wednesdays through Saturdays for dinner at the restaurant.
While we are out in the country a bit, you do have Wolf Convenience store five minutes away (less than 2 miles) for anything you need in a pickle. Stop in and talk to Rick and he'll tell you what you need to catch some good fish, and he'll even sell you some bait.
There is a gas station, Dollar General, liquor store (closed Sundays), and pizza place less than 15 minutes away on SC-11. You're also about 20 minutes from Seneca and 30 from Clemson.
There are some fabulous hiking trails with waterfalls in the area - be sure to check out Stumphouse Tunnel and Yellow Branch Falls!
Boat Info:
We have a single slip dock with a swim platform. The slip has a lift, but you can also tie your boat up on either side of the dock. The closest boat ramp is the Chostoea Boat Ramp - 2.1 miles away by car and 3.4 miles by boat. There is plenty of room in the driveway/front yard to park your trailer. If you would like to rent a boat, we recommend Harbor Light Marina. It's 25 minutes away by car and takes about 30-40 minutes to boat back to the house.

This property was great location for family to come and enjoy the lake. Plenty of room. The inside was very clean and had everything you needed for cooking as well. The outside we had to sweep the porches when we arrived.

Our family recently stayed at this beautiful home to celebrate our mom's 65th birthday, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect setting for our special occasion. We especially loved spending time on the lake, making great use of the provided kayaks and enjoying swimming together. It was truly a memorable stay, and we can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!"

Spacious house with plenty of room for our family of 8. The lake and dock were amazing and there was everything we needed to enjoy it! Home had so many amenities, from kayaks to extra pillows, and board games! Definitely recommend! Also, I would recommend stocking up on some necessary food staples at the grocery store, as it is a bit of a drive to restaurants.

Yes, all six of us enjoyed our two week stay. It sure was a vacation we will talk about forever. We had fun swimming with the rafts, your Kayak's and we rented a pontoon boat for three days the first week of our vacation as my Grandson was able to enjoy it along with the five of us, as he had only a week as had to return to work the second week.Thank you so very much for sharing your lovely home with us. Most sincerely, Mary Rosasco and Family.:)

Lots of space. We even had a few people that had to work a day or two and had room to could get away. Nice area, easy walk to the dock, loved the pool. Enjoyed the screened porch. limited seating in the living room because the wicker was terribly uncomfortable.

What a great place to stay if you have grandkids. We had teenagers and small children. Everyone enjoyed swimming on the lake, paddle boarding, and just relaxing! It was also very easy to bring the boat we rented to the house dock. Highly recommend!

3 families rented this house for our daughters' softball tournament in Toccoa. Great location relative to Toccoa softball fields (appx 20 minute drive that was super-easy). Beautiful lake lot and views! And the owners were so responsive throughout the booking process. We also accidentally left a hearing aid and shoes which they mailed back to us. Definitely will stay here again next year!

My family and I cannot say enough about our stay- everything you can imagine was provided at the home- everything and well equipped with well, everything. The home was clean and tastefully decorated- had a true home vibe and was super comfortable. There was more than enough room for 4 couples and our furry friends! The view from the screened in porch and the breeze was incredible and how about the cup of coffee in the morning with the fire on the porch- heavenly! The whole weekend my family and I talked about how we need to go ahead and book ALL our dates NOW for Clemson Football games, parent's weekend, move in day...and more!!!! The owners were so easy to get in touch with ahead of our stay and because of the thorough information left at the home there was no need to distract them during our stay- literally everything was spelled out simply throughout the home! We will be back.....100%

We were in town for Clemson Family Weekend. This house was perfect for our family of 5. We all had plenty of room and had so much fun! We used the kayaks, jumped off the dock, and did some fishing. Playing pool and ping pong was also just what we all needed! We loved the back deck for coffee in the morning and the firepit for smores at night! Great home and great hosts! We would definitely come back and we do recommend this beautiful home!

Our family had a great time. We enjoyed the lake and the pool at the club house. Everyone enjoyed playing pool and ping pong downstairs. The trip was very peaceful and relaxing. We stayed on the screened in porch most of the time playing cards. The fire table was nice for doing s’mores. We had trouble with the internet going in and out.

Our family enjoyed the yearly summer vacation at this lovely home. It was roomy for all of us with lots of different activities. My grandson loved fishing from the dock. My granddaughters enjoyed the kayaks. We were able to have s’mores around the fire pit. I loved sitting on the swing on the dock watching the sunset and the beauty of nature. The back porch is a great area to relax and read or play cards. The added bonus of the nearby pool was a big hit for all of us. We all had a very fun family vacation. Thanks Jay and Nicole!!

The house is as advertised. It has 3 living areas which is great to spread out. Even with it being the week before July 4 the boat traffic was minimal. We had a great time playing games, swimming, and kayaking.

The property was perfect for our yearly vacation with our daughters and our grandchildren. We rented a pontoon boat that we docked at the house. The older kids fished off the dock in the morning and evening and the young ones enjoyed the swimming. We also enjoyed the pool that was in the community. The size of the home allowed us to comfortably visit with friends and family that lived in the vicinity. Would highly recommend!

This house is really ideal for many reasons. The layout of the home has 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. It has many areas for family to gather including a tv/game room in basement area & an awesome screened porch with dining and lounge area with a gas fire pit. We enjoyed the gas fire pit area so much. We were there at a cooler time of year so it was great. Everything was clean and the decor was on point. The owners thought of everything you may need while staying on Lake Hartwell. It was a super choice for my family. We would like to stay here again sometime.

This home was perfect! Large bedrooms and closets, several huge areas (loft, basement, den/dining open floor plan) for family board or electronic games. It is a short walk to the dock, nice neighborhood to walk around in, parking was convenient and the weather was divine. Our doggos loved the space too. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for an escape.

Stayed here for Thanksgiving week and had a great time! Beautiful lake view, gas fire pit on the porch and a real fire pit in the back yard. Something for everyone! House was very nice. High school and college kids loved the ping pong and pool table. Everyone loved the pickle ball courts. House had what we needed to cook meals, play games and spend some time together. Wish it was warm enough to use the lake toys, but we loved the nice fall weather.

This property was perfect for my sister’s 3 teens, my 2 teens and our mom for a quick getaway for Fall Break. The kids enjoyed jumping off the dock and kayaking. We loved the comfy screened porch and fire table as well as the outdoor fire pit. We rented a pontoon boat from Harbor Light Marina for the day and spent an amazing day on the water. This property was perfect for our group of 8 with multiple spaces to use for both adults and kids. The owner has added so many thoughtful touches such as extra outlets and fans on the bedrooms and spare toiletries in the baths. The place really had everything we could need, we brought logs for the firepit. Jay was super responsive to my questions over messaging. Don’t hesitate to book this place for your group.

House was roomy. Plenty of space to spread out. Path to lake is steep. Swimming was warm and neighbors were friendly. Local store has very limited items so had to go into town to Ingles or Walmart for supplies. No backup toilet paper or paper towels in house. Only enough dish detergent for two loads so had to purchase some and left behind to hopefully pay it forward.

Beautiful home and great location
We had 11 family members ranging from 13 to 52 and had plenty of room. The house was laid out perfect for everyone to have their own space. The location was easy to get to with an incredible view of the lake. The dock had plenty of room for 2 boats plus all of our toys with plenty of parking. The home was stock with more than what we needed which was a plus since we forgot a few things at home. The game room was a big hit for us and the kids. We will definitely be back. Best vacation rental we have had so far. Thank you Reese's for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and being great host.
