About this cabin rental
You're looking at a beautiful cabin with an open floor plan. The cathedral ceiling in the great room leads to an airy feeling, with large windows so you can enjoy the beautiful mountain view in any weather. There is a wood burning fireplace to enjoy on cool autumn and winter nights, while the central heat and air keeps the cabin at just the right temperature year round. Bear's Nest will be decorated for Christmas from mid-November through mid-January for your enjoyment!
You'll have a full kitchen, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave, with dishes and cookware for whatever your dining plans might include. There's also a wine cooler for your enjoyment. The covered back deck includes a dining table and grill, so you can enjoy the Great Smokies to their fullest!
The bedroom on the main floor has a king sized bed, with soft linens, a quilt, and warm blankets seasonally available. The game loft upstairs has a pool table, and the second bedroom is also upstairs; it has a queen sized bed, again with soft linens and quilt. The private bathroom located off this bedroom has a unique, live edge vanity and spacious shower.
Relax in the private hot tub on the back deck, or enjoy the community pool. We've also included a washer and dryer for your use should you need it. Hardwood floors throughout for a clean feeling, a nice front porch with rockers and 3 parking spaces round out this nice vacation space. If you're looking for a "work from home" space, we've got you covered. There's a quiet table upstairs which makes a great workspace, and the WiFi is very strong here.
This cabin is located in the upscale Cobbly Nob community, which includes 3 community pools. At the entrance to the community off 321, you'll find the Bent Creek Golf Course. The front 9 holes have tee times available most days, and reservations can be made online one week or less before you'd like to play. The back 9 holes are an adventurous mountain course, if you're up for a challenge. If you are traveling with children, there's a great playground located at the entrance located about a half mile up 321 from our entrance. Horseback riding stables, whitewater rafting, zip lines and the Anakeesta outdoor adventure hub are also nearby. The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts community has an 8 mile arts and crafts driving loop with plenty of small, local shops specializing in almost everything imaginable; a trolley also runs through it.
It's about 10 miles to Gatlinburg down a nice 4 lane road; Ober Gatlinburg is nearby for winter skiing; drive through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to enjoy vast, scenic vistas or take one of their many hiking trails for an enjoyable day in the woods. A book in the cabin has information on some of the great things to do and see in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
From mid-November through January, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge are decorated for the Christmas celebration, and so is Bear's Nest! Come have an early (or late) celebration here, in a place where everyone loves the holidays!
If you're coming for a special occasion, please let us know. We are happy to make suggestions for the celebration. If you have questions before you arrive, we're happy to answer them. We're looking forward to your visit!
A couple of important things to note:
We do not offer refunds due to weather. We would highly recommend trip insurance to protect your vacation.
Rates are subject to change at any time before a reservation is confirmed.
Fireplace is in operation from October 1 to March 31st only. The fire pit is available year round. We do strive to keep the wood rack stocked at all times.
Please, no smoking, for the health and safety of everyone.

I wanted to thank Dan the host of this property as he was very prompt on all our enquiries and requests. It’s an awesome cabin to stay and we stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay … beautiful Mountain View and extremely neat and good location. Thanks Dan for all your help… on behalf of my family… Ajay

My little family had a great time at this cabin. It had great views and it was tucked away from all the chaos of Gatlinburg. Everything was easily accessible. Would stay here again!

Our family loved the cabin. It was very clean and well kept. The location was perfect, close enough to everything but far enough to feel away. Daniel was very responsive and helpful when we needed something. Would definitely stay there again.

We have rented many cabins from many different sources. This was by far the best. Easy to deal with VRBO but the owner of the property emailed us and wanted to know if we had any problems to let him know. We had the best time in the BEST CABIN. It has the best views, cleanest cabin, quiet and best of all, very private. I look forward to renting this cabin again.

This was our first visit to the Smoky Mountains and I’m so glad I found this perfect cabin for our stay. My husband and I, and two of our adult granddaughters, enjoyed the perfect view of Mt Le Conte from the deck. The hot tub was also perfect for soaking away the day after hiking the many nearby trails… we even hiked part of the Appalachian Trail from Newfound Gap to Charlie’s Bunion! We enjoyed the pool table upstairs in the loft, too.
We realized we needed to stay another couple of days and Dan responded super quickly to let us know that the Bear’s Nest would be available and helped organize the extension for us. We didn’t have any other issues that needed attention, but if we had, I feel very confident that they would have been handled quickly.
I hope we’ll have another opportunity to come to the area and would definitely love to stay at the Bear’s Nest Atop Eagle Lane again! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have peace, privacy, and to be surrounded by nature.

Spectacular view and great location. Family and I enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and grill! The fire pit was one of the main reasons we selected this property and did not disappoint. Plenty of wood provided and used 4 out of 5 nights. Raccoons were up close and visited two nights in a row. Roads are steep, but manageable. We’ve stayed in several cabins over the years and definitely can see ourselves staying here again! Thanks again!

Everything was great! This was our first time using vrbo- we’ve had some bad experiences with (a different vacation rental company) so I was a little worried but went for it after reading the reviews. Everything was just like the photos, very clean and well maintained, plenty of firewood/blankets/soaps/paper towels/etc, lots of dishes, cookware, utensils. Hot tub was amazing and bigger than we’d thought it would be- the four of us could all sit comfortably. Really enjoyed relaxing on the deck with the great view and sitting by the fire at night. The neighborhood was pretty quiet- could occassionally hear people but not too much. Only tiny thing was the bed wasn’t very comfortable for me, but maybe I’m just a bit of a princess :)

This was a perfect spot for our family of 4. Close enough to all the things we could enjoy, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet family time. The view off the back deck was beautiful. We will definitely come back to this cabin again!

Great cabin, 5 stars all around. Very clean and spacious, with a lot of nice amenities and good location to town. The host was super friendly and you can tell based on all of the extras around the property that he has a lot of pride in his rentals. Rent this place, you’ll be glad you did!

This is a wonderful vrbo! Very clean, great location (away from the crowds in town), very relaxing, and gorgeous view of the Smoky Mtns! Plenty to do in the area, whether you want to hike and be in nature, or do tourist attractions. Daniel is very responsive and clearly makes running his vrbo's a priority!

Except for the hot tub looking dirty and smelling, we loved the cabin and had a great time.

House was close enough to town, but also far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Easy directions, plenty of parking. Home had everything we needed and Mr. Dan was quick to answer any question we had. The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, and every night we played a game of pool.
We had security show up, to check in as we sat by the fire pit (again, safe neighborhood). Property was well lit at night and the porch is huge!

We had a nice quiet stay at this residence and had a lot of fun with the pool table and the hot tub. Definitely a good choice for relaxing after doing some hiking. The view is incredible as well.

The cabin was all that i hoped it would be times 10. This was our 3rd VRBO experience and have always been overly amazed but this time was way beyond even that. The scenery from the back deck was breathtaking, add the comfort of the hot tub on the chilly nites.... WOW !!! Short rides to fabulous food, entertainment, mountain views , it was a phenomenal honeymoon setting.

Very nice area. Cabin was perfect for the three of us. Was a little disappointed that the washer wouldn’t spin out. Had to hand wring the clothes out. Other than that we had a wonderful time.

Great views, great location! Little living space, hard to watch tv with couch layout. No laundry tabs and firewood was delivered half way through our stay. Very dark around fire pit, suggest a light out there. All in all we enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

The place was wonderful. Breath taking views. Our only issue was the road leading to the house. It was one way at times with very steep hills and extremely sharp curves. We were hauling or bikes in a 24-foot trailer. Luckily there was an area down below where we could safely park the trailer.

It was great, great views, great amenities. All over happy with our stay.

We enjoyed staying here for our 24th anniversary. Having coffee on the deck in the morning with the amazing mountain view was one of our favorite things. Very clean cabin, the mattress was very comfortable, hubby loved the pool table, we enjoyed the hot tub, too. Thanks for an awesome stay!

The cabin's location is really good and the view from the deck to the mountains was truly impressive. The hot tub was a great respite at the end of a day of kinking in the national park and playing golf. The cabin is exceptionally dark inside, not just because it is surrounded by trees, but the furnishings are dark and the lightbulbs are all low wattage. Bring your own paper towels and toilet paper. This was the first VBRO cabin we stayed in with no reserve paper products. It would have been helpful in the welcome binder to have restaurant recommendations and grocery store recommendations. I would also suggest mentioning distance to the national part, and other attractions. Wi-fi was great, so we looked up everything on the Internet. Again, we have regularly had this from previous VBRO cabins. Not too sure why the cleaning fee was so high when the cleaners left filthy floors and a dirty bathroom sink. Spilled some water on the floor and the paper towel was black. The owner needs to check into this with the cleaning crew.

This is a beautiful cabin that has an incredible view. It was clean, beds were comfortable and had lots of appliances to cook with, if you are interested in that. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is as it appears in pictures. The view is incredible. The house was very clean. The first thing I always check in a rental house is the fridge, that tells you a lot about the care the owners put in. It was spotless. Also, I will note, if you scroll down in the reviews, you will find one where the renter said the grill was a bit rusty. Well there is a brand-new grill on the deck. We didnt use it, but it looked like we would have been the first to do so. This shows how much the owner cares about maintaining the property. The roads to the house are pave but a of course steep and a bit winding, as one would expect in the mountains. The directions were accurate, and our GPS worked to get us there. The Wifi was strong (but as soon as you pull away from the house, you lose it until basically you are in Gatlinburg, so make sure you put in any locations into the GPS before leaving the house). This house was perfect for the first getaway my husband did without our (grown and flown) kids and it was wonderful.

My wife and I along with a few friends stayed at this cabin just last week (7/9 - 7/15) and had an amazing stay! The cabin looked even better in person than it did in the photos. The view was breathtaking from the back deck.
The only issue we had during our stay was some technical issues with the TV's in the room upstairs and downstairs. The owner was very expedient on fixing this issue and personally replaced the TV in the room upstairs during our stay and got everything back up and running 100%.
Drive to Gatlinburg is manageable, about 15 mins. And to Pigeon Forge around 30 mins. If your checklist includes a hot tub, pool table, fire pit, and amazing views, look no further!

We were very impressed with our cabin
It was everything we expected. We even saw a bear one evening come up the steps and walk in front of the cabin. It was 1 of 8 we saw on our vacation but it was the biggest one. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit Gatlinburg.

Well i can say that the gas grill could use some upgrades on the rust. And it needs more lighing around or close to the fire pit outside. We did enjoy seeing the bear on the deck and enjoy our stay. Thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful cabin! It was A++. The cabin is so cozy, so clean and has such a mesmerizing view. Time stood still for our family. We even decided to stay one more day just to have a day at the cabin doing nothing. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin.

The first time for my husband and I to travel with his sister and her husband. We were on our way to Charlotte, NC to visit their 81 year old uncle and Karen wanted to see the Smoky Mountains. What a beautiful way to experience The Smokies. When you sit on the back porch, you are literally up in the trees. If that isn't enough, the charm of the cabin will let you know you are somewhere special. Dan, the property manager, was super easy to work with, we had zero issues. Would I recommed this cabin - heck yeah.

The cabin was perfect for our family get away. The view from our balcony was breath taking! Waking up and sitting on the balcony with my coffee just started my day out great! I am very happy I ran across this cabin, especially for it being my first VRBO. Dan was very fast with his responses if you had any questions. Highly recommend!!!

This cabin was just the right size for myself and my friend. I enjoyed the upstairs room with pool table attached and she enjoyed the master bedroom on the bottom floor. The Scenery was superb! Especially if you do not want to travel a great distance up the mountain. I would stay at this cabin again! If I had one suggestion it would be the lighting. But that isn’t anything that would stop me from staying, but that could be a little better. Sitting on the deck in the mornings taking in the “smoky” mountains was amazing! This was a much needed trip and this cabin is a perfect place to stay.

Very comfortable and convenient location. Nice to be out of the popular towns. Very close proximity to great food. Perfect location for visiting the Smoky Mountains!

It turns out that we are not cabin people. This was the first time we have stayed in a true log cabin. It is not for us, but that takes nothing away from this property. The location and privacy was outstanding. The view was spectacular. In terms of cleanliness and having everything a person could want, it couldn't be beat. Check-in was effortless. We highly recommend this property.
