I don’t like to get bad reviews but there were a few setbacks, everything was resolved, and the stay was a perfect trip with me, and my two sons. Furnishings were nice extremely clean, great views of the ski slope or downhill mountain biking. We will be back!

Condo was nice and roomy. Clean. Guest bed was worn and not comfortable. If snow expected you need 4 wheel drive as condo is at botttom of several hills. Ski lifts viewable and could see skiers going down hill. Could hear snow blowing equipment through the night

The actual rental was perfect. Two bedrooms with comfortable beds (we brought our own pillows per another review), plenty of blankets, warm fireplace, amazing views, clean and nicely decorated. We were in close proximity to skiing, tubing, alpine coaster, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
The downside to our visit, was the 24/7 communication line with the Vacasa call center (not necessarily the local employees). Our first problem was trying to access the condo community gate with the key card provided. It was faulty and it took about 30 minutes of texting and calling the 24/7 line (while sitting in the car outside the gate) for a random resident to let us in and give us a 4 digit code. The conversations were beyond frustrating. A local employee did eventually call and he was kind. He offered to replace the card and I told him not to bother since we had a code now. The next day we tried to remedy the broken WIFI. Again, a 30 minute conversation that led nowhere. The maintenance guy that called the next day (day 3/4) was wonderful, but a part was likely broken and would require a new one from spectrum. No WIFI for the weekend. We also didn't have washcloths or kitchen towels, which we requested and never received. We didn't even get a response.
It didn't ruin our weekend, we still had a wonderful time. I hate to even take a star off because none of this falls on the homeowner, but it should be noticed.
To note, check in is at 4pm, and the office closes at 4pm.

Our family of 3 enjoyed our Thanksgiving in the mountains at this elegant condo. The decor is modern, clean and floors remodeled and the beds were comfortable. The sunrise and sunset views of the slopes and mountains was spectacular from the deck!
We arrived in the evening and had to find the condo in the dark. The low misty clouds moved in making the windy road feel scary to navigate without street lights. It was a good thing our car was all wheel drive to make it up the steep drive.
Our first night there was no snow on the slopes but after the cold snap when the temperature dropped to below 30F they had the snow blowers on all night making snow. Some family members did not appreciate the constant humming noise throughout the night.
On arrival there were supplies like dish washing tablets, paper towels and toilet paper to last 2-3 days. The kitchen comes with the basics to cook, with kettles and coffee machines. The one thing that was missing was a cleaning sponge to hand wash the dishes, and only one hand towel. It made cleaning up after Thanksgiving dinner very challenging. The freezer ice maker was clogged up making it difficult to open the door, so we decided to leave it to the cleaning staff to fix.
Overall we enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing weekend tucked away in the mountains. This will be a spot we will return to in the future during ski season.

The property is quite lovely and located at the top of a long, winding drive on Sugar Mountain. The views from the deck were spectacular although sunsets were really not a thing as the house did not face west. We did not receive accurate directions and got a bit turned around getting there. If you can plug your GPS in with the address though, you should have no problems. There are only two suggestions I have for the property, one is to get new pillows for the beds and the second is to provide instructions on how to access cable and the streaming channels.

Great condo for our fall color trip to the "High Country" of NW North Carolina!
Online photos looked so nice that I was a little leary it would be as shown, but I was wrong - it was exactly 💯 % spot on!
Only spent 3 nights to visit Grandfather Mountain, multiple waterfalls, Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock. All these areas were so close to Sugar Mountain.
The condo was very inviting...exceptionally clean, well stocked kitchen that we used a few times and we always had the fireplace going when we were there. Would definitely not hesitate to book this property again!

Everything was perfect, thank you for an amazing stay!

Great location for day trips to Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Amenities were everything we wanted including cable tv and central air, which is hard to find in the mountains. Overall clean but as with any rental property, it could use a good deep cleaning, just some dust in corners, etc. The water pressure in the main bathroom was fantastic! It was a very comfortable stay.

We loved the condo, it was comfortable and you loved the way you felt there. You walked in and said, it just smells good here. The views were beautiful and the bed was comfortable. So glad we were able to stay here and look forward to going back.

The apartment itself was wonderful, quite and peaceful! When getting settled in, turn the hot water on and we had none. The breaker was off so we had to wait for the tank to heat up. Then the master bathroom shower was full of mold. Even the scrapper that was left in the shower to clean the shower had mold on it. My wife refused to step in so we had to grab cleaning supplies and cleaned the whole bathroom which would make us feel more comfortable using anything in the bathroom. The refrigerator smelled like seafood (grabbed 2 boxes of Baking Soda) and (next morning) the coffee maker didn't work properly as its messing a piece that helps release the coffee into the pot. This was our anniversary/birthday gift get away and still had to put in some extra work before we could enjoy our vacation! A little more attention and cleaning and I may see a 4 star but right now I wouldn't wanna book that room again.

Great views all the way around. Plenty of space for us all to enjoy together.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are amazing and the look and feel of the place makes you feel right at home. I also appreciate that there isn’t a long chore list to do before checking out. Just the simple turn dishwasher on and take out your trash.

The location was great and the house was in great condition. The rooms were all comfortable and we had a wonderful relaxing week.

This condo was very clean. The master bedroom mattress was very comfortable. The furnishings were all very high quality and tasteful. The view was absolutely beautiful. Vacasa was very easy to work with. No complaints!

The property was beautiful and very clean. The company- not VRBO but the rental company that owns the properties- sent me so many emails and additional things I had to fill out. I have to verify my identity, sign a contract and give my plate number for parking. We had to pick up the keys and gate card at the rental company, then drive 10 min to the property. That wasn’t bad, but google maps and Apple Maps don’t give correct directions to the property so follow the map the company gives you when you pick up the keys. The property itself has a great view and wonderful beds, decor, etc. very very clean! I don’t have one complaint about the rental.

Nice decor with a nice view but there was a fish smell on the fridge/freeze and some dirty spots here and there. This property is listed by VRBO and managed by Vacasa and multiple people will be sending you emails and text messages the days before, during and after your stay and it’s overwhelming on top of asking for additional time to check out with a cost associated.
We left one day earlier due to the fish smell and the fact that there was not hot water. After calling one of the property managers multiple times with no luck. We all needed to shower!!

Great property and views
This is a great property, nicely decorated and fabulous views! Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication between Vacasa and the cleaning staff. We waited until 4 pm to check in and noticed there were no sheets on the Master King size bed, soap or clean towels. The property manager called the staff and one gentleman brought sheets for us to make the bed. About an hour later, a young woman and man came by asking what was needed and apologized for the condo not being cleaned. They had been told that the unit wasn't booked. I understood their dilemma. I made the King size bed and dried the wet sheets and towels that were left in the washer so we could get settled. I really loved the condo so it deserves 5 stars! However, note that you must go down 2 flights of steps to get to the first floor entrance so carrying luggage and other items required several trips. Also the handle on the storm door is not correctly placed, so you must pull up instead of pushing down which is a bit awkward. In addition, the code and gated entrance pass card is not easy to use. It took several tries each time we entered The Reserve II to get the gate to open. Now, that being said, the condo was most enjoyable and beautifully furnished.
