This beautiful little house is a tiny slice of heaven. It is has all of the amenities and more that you could want or need. It portrays a home from home and is made more special by its beautiful environment. The garden is shared with the owners and their animals. Clare and family are incredibly welcoming and it’s the personal touches that make it that much more special.

We were given fresh eggs - and enjoyed watching the free range chickens scratching for food in the garden alongside the Little House.

What a lovely little house. Set in a private garden, this accommodation is cosy, clean and comfortable, with super comfy beds. The hosts were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. This included leaving a food hamper, fresh fruit and flowers for our arrival. The little touches really did make our stay just wonderful. Highly recommend.... We will most definitely be back!

Clare was very welcoming and friendly, the roosters, chicken, dogs, cats, guinea pigs made the stay perfect. The Little House was located across and just down the street from my cousins, could not be a better location. I highly recommend The Little House in Hull, it will exceed all your expectations. Thank you Clare.

It's a beautiful little house for guests - completely blew me away upon seeing it. Added bonus were all the animals and the entire cause of the place - between fish, rabbits, chickens (oh My~) etc, it was really a treat. And, naturally being vegan, I was so so happy to find a place that so Aligned with my own ideals/lifestyle. Everything was plant based and I loved it. And the highlight is the host herself: Clare is Awesome with a capital 'A'. When I say she goes above and beyond (she drove us to the train station when the taxis weren't running yet) - I utterly adore her. If I'm ever in Hull again, I know where I'm staying (and where - YOU - should stay).
The one thing that wasn't liked (mainly by other guest) were that there were a lot of spiders in the loft and around the house. Only negative I can think of.

The food was plentiful and excellent but we had chosen to take our own. I don't like waste, so we had to choose.
The facilities were exceptional and comfortable.
The reception by Clare was the friendliest I have ever experienced. I will happily consider her a friend.
I wish I could think of a criticism, but I can't - maybe too much food.
The bus stop was a longer walk than I hoped.

the property was extremely clean as well as comfortable when you first walked in, credit to the cleaner. the hosts were very accommodating on arrival and very friendly over the trip, offering advice on taxis around and turning my car around for me when it was a tight fit. also, the offering of food and drinks eg. coffee, tea, non dairy milk and treats of chocolate and various snacks. there was a den in the living room that was lovely and warm, on warmth there was various heaters that were extremely comfortable considering it was winter during our stay. there was various pets around in the garden as well as sitting areas, you could access these and walk around and view the chickens and rabbits and the guinea pig, a delight to walk around and explore over the duration of our stay. it was easy to find and generally one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in as well as the loveliest hosts.

From the warmest of warm welcomes, Clare and Gene looked after us so well: nothing was too much trouble, from fresh towels half way through our stay, eggs delivered to the door for breakfast and the enjoyment of their lovely garden and animals. The Little House was so comfortable, and stylish, convenient for both town and university, surrounded by places to eat on Princes Avenue and Newlands and in the lovely architecural area of the Avenues. Clare provided delicious bread and other provisions on arrival, beautiful arrangements of flowers from the garden and a generous platter of delicious fruit. We couldn't have asked for lovelier hosts, a better location or place to stay - The Little House was a serendipitous find.

Clare was a fantastic host, very quick to response & nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was perfect, clean, comfy & very warm when needed - and the fruit platter was awesome thank you Clare.
I loved being surrounded by animals & nothing better than fresh eggs in the morning.
Just a walk away from restaurants & pubs & not too far to walk into the city centre either.
Would highly recommend.
The only downside ?? I couldn't coax any of the four cats to sleep on my bed !!!!!
But seriously no complaints whatsoever, really enjoyed our stay.

Clean and very comfortable house with great amenities. Situated in a garden with guinea pigs, chooks and Poppy the rabbit. So clean and comfortable with lovely touches including flowers from the garden and vegan bits and pieces in the fridge. Thank you Clare Gene and Michael

We loved our stay at the Little House in Hull. We were visiting for a small wedding occasion and wanted a comfortable bed for a couple of nights close to the Guild Hall. The property was so very comfortable and quirky that we spent a lot more time relaxing and enjoying our time in the property than had been originally planned. We gathered a few lovely fresh eggs from the hens, Claire the host made sure we had fresh bread, milk and fruit which was a really lovely touch and when our taxi didn't arrive to take us to the wedding Claire jumped in to save the day (I am still laughing at us zooming through Hull with Clair in her dressing gown and wellies :)). This is a lovely place to stay, tucked away and surrounded by beautiful gardens and plenty of wildlife along with Claire's menagerie - good shower, good kitchen facilities, lovely lounge with Sky TV and a very comfortable bed.
Nothing - we had a wonderful stay and didn't want to come home !! :)
