Large enough for our four family units: 6 adults and 6 children. Location is near fine Delaware beaches. Bear Trap resort has two good pools, tennis and pickleball courts. Kitchen is well-appointed.
4.5
All of the amenities you would expect. Very clean. Close to the golf course.

Huge house, plenty of room for 8 people and no bunk beds were a bonus for our all adult crowd.
It’s a beautiful neighborhood with everything you need very close.
4.5
The neighborhood is great and the house is well stocked. We had a few issues during our stay and I think the house needs some updating. For example, the kitchen table is sticky no matter how many times you clean it. It's just worn out. After being at the house for about 20 min, I looked at my feet and they were BLACK. Didn't make me feel like I was in a clean house. The bathrooms need some updating / replacements. One of the stair railings was loose and our 2 year old fell through it, onto his neck and head. The fridge had some issues when we checked in too. I wish Vacasa did a better job managing.
4.5
See the review on Vacasa. Vrbo does not provide enough space here for my comments.
Highlights... dishwasher required fixing (which didn't happen before we checked out); dining table needs a new surface (current is sticky); a second trash bin and a second recycling bin are needed given the size of the property; grill cabinet needs a good cleaning.
House is big enough and the location is pretty good. Amenities are good. After using the complimentary beach shuttle once we later chose to pay for parking at Bethany Beach.

It is huge! So many places to spread out and have some fun! We loved the back porch and it’s view - perfect for morning coffee and evening cards! My kids loved the game tables and HUGE bedroom they shared! The place was immaculate!!
The only problem we had was with downstairs A/C unit and response was immediate - replaced the unit within a day! We enjoyed the shuttle to the beach and ALL of the amenities of the community. Something for all of us! Awesome stay!! We will definitely be returning!

Overall I enjoyed the property.. I thought the house was beautiful with the exception of the cold water in some of the rooms, and the bathtub would not hold water because of the stoppers. That made it difficult to give the small children a bath. Because the trash cans weren't emptied from the previous tenants,we had no place to put our trash and no one showed up to take it away.
4.5
We loved the house, kitchen had what we needed, pool table was fun. Too cold to use the garage ping pong etc but we would have liked to do that too. Trash situation best I have had at a beach house in a while - there are near by dumpsters for overflow trash and recycling- which is helpful with a big crowd. Rooms and beds very comfortable.

Large home with plenty of room and privacy for 3 families and 2 dogs. Great location, close to everything

We enjoyed this big and comfortable house. It was clean and located in beautiful community. The only problem we had was the grill. It was not working. Eve though I call the morning of our arrival and requested to make sure it is working properly they said they fixed it but I had too much problem that evening, other than that it was a good place to stay.

From the cozy front porch, to the well planned layout, to the amenities- our home was so comfy and clean. Our family enjoyed and relaxed together.

My review of 15 Sycamore St., (Bear Trap Dunes) Ocean View, DE.
Pros - enough room for my extended family of 15 adults. Grateful that this location allowed for dogs. We have one small one and it was so nice to have her with us on this vacation.
Cons - When we arrived, the kitchen needed to be cleaned. Crumbs were all over the counters and dining room table. The utensils and cabinets need to be wiped down. As my wife said, the whole house needs a once over (thorough wipe down).
The garbage was also full when we got there. No place to put additional garbage. Apparently, garbage only gets picked up on Mondays and the rental is from Saturday-Saturday so go figure. Would have been nice if we didn’t have to deal with that inconvenience. One small garbage pail outside the residence is clearly not enough to compensate for the number of occupants the home can allow for. Think about it - if the garbage only gets picked up on Mondays, what is done with the garbage that the previous guests leave when they leave on Saturday? The garbage was full and I complained about this but the complaint went unanswered. On Friday, a Vacasa support person came to the home to respond to some other complaints I had made regarding the residence. He mentioned that my complaint had not been answered promptly because it got sent to another location, Mississippi or somewhere like that. I mentioned about the garbage being full again and he moved the garbage pail to the street and said someone would be coming over promptly to empty the container. The pail was still full when we left the next morning as our stay was over.
Refrigerator/freezer leaked Seems to be a problem with the ice cube dispenser and not sure if it’s leaking from the freezer itself. There always seems to be a small puddle of water in front of the appliance.
There is no control for the ceiling fan for the upstairs bedroom (room with 2 single beds). Shower head for the downstairs master bedroom is terrible, comes out as a week stream mostly, could certainly stand to be replaced.
The amenities were certainly shown in the pictures but don’t recall seeing that they weren’t included. At $50 a person, it gets to be pricey. The sliding door that allows access to the home from the back porch is defective and should be fixed. Someone set on gaining access to the home from this door could play with the door to gain access to the home even if it is locked.
I would not opt to stay in this home again.

Great house! Grill was extremely dirty .
Might want to look at gutters as there was a waterfall down the spout by grill during rain.
4.5
There is a large bedroom open area with 4 single beds and room for kids to play. Great beach chairs and one umbrella and with pool table, fooshball, ping pong and couple of bicycles! Need a few more bath towels and bath mats and the doors to the garage and screened in porch takes a strong adult to close!

I give it 4.9 stars, beautiful home in an idealistic neighborhood. Painless and easy check in/out, was left starter toilet paper, garbage bags, soap, etc…made our first night more enjoyable without the “need” to go shopping. We had 15 people (ages 10-73) and had plenty of space and hot water. Fabulous kitchen and front room allowed for plenty of conversations. Only negatives for us would be lack of extra towels (we all had 1) and the grill was older and in need of some TLC. Whole family had an amazing week and we’re extremely impressed/satisfied with the house. Kids loved the pool table and ping pong…entertainment for hours!! If we come back we would definitely request this place again!!!!!!!

We had 11 of us for the 3 day weekend to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. Reservation process was easy, check-in was easy and checkout was easy. Vacasa even texted throughout the weekend to see if things were going ok. House has everything you could ask for, including linens and tolwels. That extra touch is so worth it. House was clean and wel decorated. With their tankless water heater it's awesome because there's no issue with so many people taking showers. Highly recommend this beautiful house. And if you want to venture to Rehoboth or OC, you're only about 20-25 minutes from both.

Highly recommend!
Everything about this house is wonderful, in a lovely quiet community. Our family truly enjoyed our stay, and can't wait to book again. All rooms are large and very clean, the beds were comfortable. Vacasa was great with all communication, easy check in and check.

This house accommodated all of us (15) very well. It was clean, well kept, pet friendly and in a nice quiet neighborhood. There was a broken leg on a table in the large upstairs bedroom but it was fixed after 2 phone calls. There was some confusion about linens; when we first made our reservation it was preCovid and the house was with a different property management company. Linens were an optional fee which we opted out of. Our reservation was rebooked from 20220 to 2021 and a new company took over, linens supplied but not communicated. We packed and brought bedding for 11 beds. The house was also originally listed as having 2 full size refrigerators, one in the house and one in the garage but there is only a regular size fridge in the kitchen and a very small beverage fridge in the upstairs bedroom. A house that sleeps 16 people and only has a side by side fridge could really benefit from having another full size fridge.

The place was perfect for a group of 8 friends getting together to play golf in the area. Clean, spacious, centrally located. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home for the long weekend.

House was as described and then some. The location was fantastic and was in excellent proximity to everything we wanted to accomplish during our stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and provided everything needed for our group of 12 to comfortably cook and eat together. The house was clean, well decorated and the amenities included were incredible perks (pool table, fooseball, ping pong, poker, golf clubs, bicycles, beach chairs...the list goes on). Our group was extremely comfortable and never felt crowded and could have comfortable accommodated at least 4 more people. A few minor call outs are...one of the panels of screen on the screened in porch was missing (no big deal for us since the bugs were not bad), the provided grill would not stay lit even though the tank was full and lastly although linens were provided, there were no kitchen towels included. Again, no big deals just more of a heads up. Trash and recycling cans were conveniently located. Due to the time of year, recycling only occurs once every other week...when we arrived the recycling bin was 3/4 full and when we left it was at its max. This did not impact our stay in any way, just another call out. Would definitely recommend and book again if we decide to visit again. Thanks!
