The expansive ocean views and Sunsets from the unit are truly magnificent. Enjoy the sound of the waves below as you drift off to sleep.
Unit has undergone a recent remodel and much of the furnishings are new including the mattresses, linens and much of the furniture. A 3-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom Unit consisting of a Kitchen, Great Room , Master King Bedroom with bathroom en-suite, Queen oceanview bedroom with a Sleep number mattress, two twin bedroom, and a full second bathroom. Aloha Kai is on the 5th floor of the building, near an elevator, just left of center which offers the best views of the neighboring islands and Waipuilani Beaches. Unit does not overlook pool and is on the quieter side of the building. The only thing you will hear is the lapping of the waves below.

We chose Menehune Shores for it's amazing view, but also for it's central location. Staying in Kihei will allow you to enjoy so many of Maui's offerings....you are in the middle of it all. It's all just a short drive away.
Please note that Menehune Shores is a non smoking property and is pet free. There is a designated smoking area on the ground floor.
The roof-top Lanai is a great place to cook outdoors on our gas grills and dining tables. This is also a great place to watch the Humpback whales during the season. Whale Watching in Maui is November – May, with the majority of whales January – March, February being peak season.

Kalepolepo Beach:
Excerpt from Maui Guide Book:
A small but lovely beach in North Kihei. This was the historical site of a thriving Hawaiian village, and is an important cultural archeological site for native Hawaiians. A portion of Kalepolepo Beach is the location of the ancient Hawaiian fish pond (Ko’ie’ie fishpond, one of three in the area) its walls protect the beach creating a calm shallow pool that is also perfect for keiki (children) or adults who prefer smooth waters.
In the late afternoons turtles often swim up onto the protected beach or on the seawall to rest for the night, swimming out the next morning. This gives daily opportunities to snorkel near and photograph these amazing creatures. Please remember to enjoy the turtles from a distance.
For more island excitement there is a near by Canoe Club that will take you on a wonderful experience of a six man outrigger canoe ride.
Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary
Located in Kīhei on the south shore of Maui, the visitor center is an ideal spot to learn about the marine environment and even see humpback whales breaching. This scenic beachfront location at the foot of Haleakalā has views of Kahoʻolawe, Lānaʻi and West Maui looking across the waters of the sanctuary.
Recently renovated, the visitor center currently showcases temporary exhibits, while permanent exhibits are still being planned for the future. There will be interpretive signs around the lanai to highlight stories of the historic Hawaiian fishpond, the scenic view, and conservation messages related to the surrounding environment. Inside, the exhibits will tell the story of marine animals and coral reefs that are found throughout Hawaiʻi. Intertwined will be displays on how native Hawaiians lived in concert with the land and sea.
Visitors to the new center in Kīhei will be able to learn about the efforts by NOAA, the State of Hawaiʻi, and others to protect humpback whales, monk seals, sea turtles, and coral reefs.
There are six world-class golf courses a short drive from Menehune Shores. The Pacific Ocean Center Aquarium, where you can view the ocean's inhabitants through a walk-through glass tunnel, is a few minutes up the road on the way to the old whaling port of Lahaina. The exclusive hotels and shops of Wailea are just south of Kihei.

Perfect location for 3 generations. The view and sounds of the ocean was breathtaking. Plenty of toys for the kids and the kitchen was stocked with every utensil and gadget needed. We would love to visit again

My children and I, decided Maui would be the best place to be when the anniversary of my husband’s death arrived. I’m so glad I could make it happen. While traveling with toddlers was a challenge at times, Maui delivered the calm and serene experience we were after.
The condo was perfect, the Lanai was better than that. We sat out there at all hours of the days. It was absolutely perfect. I slept with my windows open and listened to the surf all night.
The kitchen is well stocked and arranged. The rooftop is great. We grilled and enjoyed the view. And the conch blowing at sunset.
The view from the lanai was perfect at all hours as well. We saw whales. We didn’t see any turtles on ground but knew they were in the water due to my son’s drone. The beach was perfect for my granddaughters. They played and played.
Chad was great to work with. I would totally recommend this condo.

This is an outstanding property centrally located in Kihei. The views off the balcony are spectacular. The unit is comfortable and nicely decorated. The owner was helpful and responsive. We thank him for sharing his home and hope to make it back for another visit to this special island.

This is a great location. Each night we went to sleep to the sound of the waves just below us. The condo has a well equipped kitchen and toys for the kids. Having a full sized washer and dryer was a nice extra.

The location was perfect with beautiful views and right on the Ocean! The house was even better than the pictures and had everything we wanted or needed for the week.
This condo is close to restaurants, shops, and other beaches. We were glad we rented a car to explore the surrounding areas.

Very clean and quiet property

This place was simply amazing. The location was perfect for getting to all things (beaches, restaurants, entertainment) yet it felt SO private. Super clean, beds were one of the most comfortable we’ve ever stayed at, more than enough room for a family of 6 ranging from 9yrs to 73 yrs. Amazing sunrises and sunsets and watching the sea turtles everyday from the balcony. Chad is SO responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back and we encourage everyone to come stay here.

Beautiful place - plenty of room and had everything we needed. Awesome location! Chad was great- gave us the most up to date info about what was happening on the island so we could make the right choice about coming. Made our trip super easy and enjoyable! We will be back!!

It has all the basics stocked and lots of extras to improve the visit. Highly recommend!

This property was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation rental. It had everything we needed, and the location is great (beautiful views and easy access to the beach).
5.0
The good—condo was great…comfy beds, clean, open layout, all the extras like snorkeling gear, beach towels, fully stocked utensils and cookware for kitchen, and a great location in Kihei with an awesome lanai with a beautiful view.
The bad…I know this is not something you would want to advertise, however, we were very disappointed with the water/beach area right outside the condo. They had an unusual amount of rain a couple of weeks prior to us arriving (which is beyond anyone’s control obviously) BUT we learned from residents that the 2 mountains in front of the condo have sewage drainage right in the water when it rains. Therefore, not only did we not experience the crystal clear blue waters in the pic, it was murky, brown, and was actually sewage 💩. Therefore, we didn’t want to swim in that water and had to drive to other parts of the island to find clearer water without sewage.
Also, there’s not a tv in the queen bedroom, which isn’t a huge deal but was disappointing since all other rooms had one, especially when traveling with family ages 10-67, everyone wanted to watch different things at night.
The great—the local residents are absolutely amazing, especially Jim. You’ll catch him in front of the building in the seating area in front of the dumpsters. Everyone knows and loves him and I quickly felt the same. He’s lived in Maui for over 70 years and can tell you anything and everything you want to know about the island, including a lot of local and free places nearby to go see.
You will see whales during season from the lanai and huge sea turtles in the snorkeling area right in front of the condo every night and morning. They blend right in with the rocks so you have to walk out and go see them but do not touch! It’s a $1500 fine!
Overall, it was a nice place to stay, however, we chose the condo for the location and beautiful water in the pics to go snorkeling and swimming in. However, had we known about the sewage drainage, we could have stayed right across from a different beach for a fraction of the cost of this one. Again, no one can predict or stop the rain, but it was very disappointing to not be able to utilize the beach or enjoy beautiful water as advertised, unless you are okay with swimming in sewage that was as brown and murky as a lake.

Older property but this unit was updated. Lanai was the best part for sure. Everything was perfect until a remodel started happening above us. Sliding furniture into the evenings and construction noise from morning until dinner time unfortunately.
5.0
Well kept, clean and as advertised. The view of the ocean is unreal, and watching whales (winter) while you drink your morning coffee is off the charts. The only issue is that the local beaches pale in comparison to those in the South West end of the island. With that being said, If you want a beautiful view with great sunsets, this is the place for you.

Everything we needed. Great balcony to watch green flashes. Nice beach. Large complex.one tip: Don't park under trees in the lot. You'll have to wash your rental car!

This was a fantastic space for 6 people (4 adults and 2 young children). The apartment truly was minutes from either beach or a fresh water pond with magical sea turtles. It was also fun to visit the swimming pool and the roof (especially at sunset). There were so many things to do right outside our door, which is especially wonderful when you have young kids in tow.
I loved how 2 bedrooms as well as the common area looked right out over the water. I was amazed at how well organized and equipped the space was: tons of kids toys, books, and games; crib and booster seat; all the kitchen equipment you'd need; extra towels and beach chairs; etc, etc. To top it off, the apartment was so nicely decorated! -- there was even a cute Christmas tree and real poinsettia when we stayed during the holiday season.
To sum up: I was afraid that the actual place wouldn't live up to the online listing, but in truth, the listing doesn't do justice to how special this place is. I highly recommend a visit!

Excellent host. Extremely accommodating. Mary, our cleaner, had everything absolutely perfect!!! The place itself is PERFECT!!!! Great space, comfortable beds, extra beach towels, smaller kitchen but has everything you need. The deck was likely our favorite spot. We didn’t spend that much time in the unit because there is SO much to explore in Maui but that made it even that more special arriving back. Quiet complex. Amazing staff. Excellent Indian restaurant directly downstairs. The protected cove was fantastic. Can’t say enough great things all around. Hopefully we will be back in the very near future!

This location is perfect for those wanting to enjoy the highlights of Kihei. The fish pond outside of the property offers a protected area to snorkel/ swim and hangout with turtles if you time it right. And the property is close to good food, shops, and other amenities.

This condo was perfect for our family of five with small children. The beach right in front of the property is a prime area for kiddos to swim and snorkel. There were toys and all the things we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

What a view!! The condo was clean and perfect for our family of five…mom, dad, three teenage boys. It was a wonderful home base to reach west Maui, central Maui, Haleakala. The cove in front of the condo was magical. One amazing evening at sundown we were in the cove to watch too many turtles to count come in to rest on the sea wall. We highly recommend this property and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful inside and out
Spent the week with my aging father who cannot get out and about like he once could during out family trips. He enjoyed this property so much because the view is breathtaking and he didn’t feel like he needed to “get going” in order to enjoy Maui. The sound of the waves from the lanai, along with the view kept him content for hours every day. Chad was amazing to rent from, he answered all my questions and very quickly. 10/10!!

Wonderful Stay
We had a great time at this condo. We arrived to a very well stocked condo. There is everything you could possibly need here. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning on the lanai and beautiful sunsets every night. We couldn’t have asked for a better condo. We loved it and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The property is perfect in all the right ways. You will not find many places in Maui with this close to the water. I would highly recommend and hope to go back again.

Perfect Location
We choose this area as it was central for all of the activities we planned. The view from this condo is beautiful. We saw sea turtles in the morning and evening from the lanai. The condo was perfect for our family of 4 and I would highly recommend staying here.

We had an excellent vacation with three generations of family. This unit was fully stocked and met all our family's needs, including toys, books and beach toys for the small ones. The view was magnificent and access to the beach, surf and pool gave us convenient choices each day. Can't wait to return. The 5-year old is already planning our next trip back. :o)

This condo was perfect for our family of 5 adults. With three bedrooms, 2 baths and and a nicely stocked kitchen, we had a wonderful stay. It was hard to decide what to do: Go to the beach, the fish pond, the roof to see the sunset and stars or just sit in the lanai and watch the whales and boats from the fantastic view (even better than the picture)! Also, Kihei is a great location, between Wailea and Lahaina. We would highly recommend this location! (It was also set up for kids with plenty of toys, games and even kid’s dishes.) Thanks to Chad for thinking of everything!

Chad was a great host and was super helpful. The unit was modern, clean and the ocean views were amazing. The beach didn’t get a lot of visitors so very private. We’d 100% stay again.
