This lovely home enjoys a secluded location tucked away in the trees, far from the noisy crowds, and perfect for a long vacation filled with peace and quiet. The lowest level has a washer and dryer which will take care of those dirty hiking or skiing clothes so that you can pack light for your trip. Head up the spiral staircase to check out the living room with burnished floors, a reading nook, and exposed ceiling joists. Relax on the sofa in the newly updated living room, or in the glider chairs, while a fire crackles away in the wood-burning fireplace. If you need more space, head downstairs and kick back on the sectional in the basement and stream a favorite movie on the mounted flatscreen SmartTV, or enjoy game night and the foosball table. You'll love using the stainless steel appliances, center prep island, and cookware of the full kitchen while you prepare tonight's new culinary triumph, and you can serve your dinner guests at the handsome dining table with seating for six or outside on the deck as an al-fresco meal amid the lush green trees. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a comfy king-size bed, the second bedroom has a queen, and the third room has a queen - all mattresses now have foam toppers.

Stayed in the month of July - so I was there for hiking and golf. Beautiful hiking trails and golfed Jay Peak course. In great condition and the views are spectacular. Enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Our family decided to come together for a small reunion so my husband and I needed a place close to Jay Peak and would allow for some quiet down time. This home is open concept on the first floor. The second floor bedrooms were good sizes and the basement was a nice place to sit and talk. The house is not to far from the main road and the neighbors were kind.
The kitchen included all the major elements needed. The deck was a nice spot to enjoy your morning coffee. We only needed two spots for parking but the space would accommodate at least three.
This has been mentioned before, the stairs are a little challenging. We managed well but I can say we walked away with a few stories we will be sharing for many years about that stair case.

We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again.
Pros: There was plenty of room for my family of 6; the house was clean; the beds were comfortable, the house was well stocked (but no toaster or toaster oven; plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, blankets, etc; 5 min drive to Jay Peak resort; good communication with the rental management company; easy check in & check out process; quiet neighborhood.
Cons (nothing major): As other renters have noted, the spiral staircase that leads to both the 3rd floor and basement, are narrow and steep (but we managed); there is no door to the outside from the basement so our dog had to stay on the main floor only (she didn’t mind); no batteries in one of the TV remotes; the front yard could use a bit of a clean up; the pet fee was the highest we ever had to pay.

Beautiful place in a beautiful place. Plenty of room for several people but it was only two of us. Great deck overlooking the backyard.
The only thing to be aware of is the very narrow spiral staircase. Getting our large, heavy suitcases upstairs was a challenge. Otherwise, perfect!
4.7
Good house...had everything you needed. Just be careful with the stairs, I had a difficult time with the stairs. Not for older people
4.7
Convenient house in the woods which gives a lot of privacy. Plenty of space for a family ski trip. As others noted, spiral stairs were treacherous and everyone needed to walk carefully and slowly. Easy drive to Jay Peak. Did not use fireplace but house was comfortable for temperature, but not very well cleaned in kitchen. Outside trash cans were already full when we arrived and were not picked up by service during the week -- repeatedly contacted Vacasa about the problem during the first couple days but the property manager never reached out.

We really enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed and the hockey rink was less than 5 minutes away. We will be back!

Great location and comfortable place, we had a great time staying here

Convenient to mountain and nice open kitchen. It can hold alot of people but spiral staircase to second story is perilous for elderly and anyone carrying stuff. Trash was full when we arrived and kitchen had no condiments.

Proximity to skiing was great! Kitchen was fun to cook in. Home was spacious and warm. Plenty of parking.

The Blue Chalet was perfect for us to stay in Vt. The house was clean and comfortable. In the kitchen you can find every tools what you need for a basic cooking, and overall you have everything in the house what you need for a couple of days on your vacation .The location is good too because it’s quiet and beautiful, but also close to attractions and stores.

We had a nice time in Blue Chalet. It was clean and comfortable. They have a good kitchen with everything you need for cook. The bed was comfortable. We loved the location too. Thank you for the nice memory!

We loved this place! From the proximity to Jay, the layout, amble room for eight, great gas stove with a small griddle, well insulated despite the very cold weather, and the fire place was a nice addition. Yes, as other have written about, the stairs are not for the those with any mobility challenges but carefully manageable for children eight and up in our group. The only drawback was the price and as long as there are not increases, we would consider staying there again!

Very comfortable stay. Kitchen has basics. Bring extra paper towels (1 roll provided).

Close to the mountain, clean, smaller than appeared in images, spiral staircase is essentially a ladder to the upstairs bedrooms, comfortable spot and would stay again.

We enjoyed the family space from kitchen to TV room. Two elements detracted from stay. The most frustrating was the heat made terrible noise throughout the night waking us multiple times. Although we were able to manage, the stairs could be an issue as well. They are very tight spiral.

We loved this home! Exactly what we were looking for. The house was clean and the beds were so so comfortable! The spiral stairs were a bit scary to walk up and down but we limited the amount of times we needed to go into the bedrooms so it was fine! My only suggestion is to have some coat hooks by the front door. There were two by the stairs but extremely low and coats dragged on the floor. Our coats were either on the couch or behind a chair because there were no hooks or coat closet to put them in. Other than that , it was perfect! Would definitely recommend. Thank you to an awesome stay. So close to Jay mountain and waterpark. Looking forward to visiting again

Home has very comfortable beds and bed linens! More so than other AirBnB's I've stayed in. Details matter, especially after a day of hiking or whatnot; comfortable beds are a must. Plenty of room over THREE levels of living space, each with its own thermostat that is responsive and effective. Great access to all my channels and some additional, too. Folks can eat and entertain entirely on the main floor, whilst guests on other levels are able to have their own spaces altogether.
Would return!

We've worked at Jay before and it was fun to visit as tourists instead. We spent most of the time at the house, enjoying the fire and cooking great meals. Like, others said, bring firewood.

Great mountain getaway!
Super cute spot - great updates and family friendly! There are some steep spiral stairs that would be good to know about beforehand if there is a mobility issue but the property is FANTASTIC and worth a trip if you can.

Lovely and quiet property. The furniture has been rearranged since the pictures were taken and the house has been painted blue. The bunk beds are now in the basement, along with a sofa that pulls out to a bed. The upstairs rooms have a king and 2 queen beds.
The stairs a very, very steep. There are tv's for steaming on the main floor and in the basement. We brought our x-box. We also had fun with the games and puzzles.
