There were a ton of mosquitos inside the place. They had left the door open so the mosquitoes got inside. There were a lot of mosquitoes right outside the house as well. It seems like they have a pest issue. The plumbing is very bad. The toilets and the sinks get clogged quickly. The AC did not work. We contacted management and they never resolved any of our issues.

Great access to beach. Beautifully decorated and well appointed. Enjoyed time with grandchildren.

House was relatively expensive so some basic expectations were in order. Floors were not sept or clean at all. Two of the four bathrooms had no toilet paper, soap or any other necessary items. You had no way to unlock a back door to the property to go out into the back yard, you had to exit front of house to go around back yard. Also, it was a 4 story house and I had a colleague there that recently had surgery and they had a elevator but you could not access it either. Downstairs in area for garage and family games was very dirty with trash everywhere and the grill just filled to the top with ashes. Most frustrating thing was I tried to contact the owner and got no reply. They took my money very quickly but after they got the money they were not too worried about accommodations. Do not rent from the individual.

Nice House with lots a beds. Perfect for large group of kids. We only stayed two night, the refrigerator and freezer was not cooling, it finally cooled down the last night we were there. Owner did offer maintenance to come out, but since we were leaving and it started to cool no need. No Cornhole, as shown in picture, so make sure you take your own and the door to the yard was lock, so you have to walk around if you want to access the yard. Owner was helpful and responded quickly. Overall nice stay and location.

Website needs to be updated. The house is not as close to the beach as they say. The house does not over look the ocean, it overlooks a public drive to the public beach! Liars!!
Housekeeping needs to be better. We walked in to a bad fish smell and discovered it was the garbage can had not been cleaned out. Clearly a company owns the house and is not on top of it. If it’s owned by a person, then shame on you. You are NOT easy to work with.

The home is roomy and great neighborhood. The outside grill is not recommended for usage, previous grilling buildup. The upstairs patio screening window screens torn. The cooking pans missing handles and worn. Plenty of plates and drink ware. Refrigerator clean. Oven dirty , door gasket needs to be replaced , damaged. Master bedroom bed not very comfortable , bedsheet had some unknown stains. Trash under the nightstand and window treatments damaged. We experienced foul water odor in master shower while in use. One downstairs bedroom toilet needed repair not flushing. The washer door sealant has mold stains. We tried to clean with disinfectant wipes not very successful in cleaning the buildup and mold stains.
The bunk beds only have mattresses, no bunkie boards.
AC not cooling well with this hot weather, lacking fans for backups, ceiling fans some worked some did not function well to assist with cooling the home.
Trash was left on the boat dock from previous clients. The cowboy pool was dirty.
Hoping this feedback helps others.

This home was the perfect spot for a much-needed getaway. The ocean views were stunning, and we loved savoring breakfast each morning while admiring the serene waters. Being so close to downtown was a huge plus, with lots of great restaurants, shops and attractions nearby. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this spot to fellow travelers.

Had some family visiting and wanted to spend a few days near the beach. This house was perfect. So much space. There were only 8 of us but we really felt like we could have had a whole family reunion here. Have younger kids and I felt like it was a very safe area which is important for me. Chose it for the short drive to town, great restaurants and coffee nearby. Host was great with communicating. Would definitely stay again.

Just wow. We stayed at this home recently and we could not have had a better experience! The house is located in a private gated community on the East end of Galveston island, and they even have their own secluded section of beach for community members and their guests. We were able to use the private community walkover to quickly and easily get to the beach. And the home itself was gorgeous. So much open space in the home to relax and spend time together with our family was great. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and appliances so that we were easily able to cook meals. Everything was decorated to really give a beachy vibe to the place and helped get us ready for our trip to the beach. So so happy we chose to stay here!

We had two families stay at this location for 3 nights. It was a great stay, very spread out. The kids loved the very top floor and stayed up there while we were at the house. Galveston was amazing. Will be back

Family reunion at the beach
A great property for our beach family reunion! A short 5 minute walk to the beach, and we spent several days on the beach. You can drive onto that stretch of beach, which was great for hauling beach gear, food, and drinks to the shore. Plenty of parking for 6 cars at the house, one of which was a truck camper. The lawn provided space for outdoor games and the many porches were great for hanging out. The couches and chairs in the living room/dining room are a bit worn out. Kitchen is furnished well with large pots and pans, big serving bowls, and plenty of plates/silverware/glasses for our group of 22. The beds were comfy and the fans helped circulate air at night. The bedroom on the top floor was a warm one though. We pushed the limit for sleeping accommodations for 22. Kids shared beds and we used 2 inflatable mattresses for older cousins. Next time I’d probably rent a house with more bedrooms. The elevator didn’t work which was an important feature for one of our family. When I inquired about it, was told it isn’t an amenity…in case you need to know that. With that large of a house, I’d recommend a larger washer and dryer, and more dish towels and kitchen cleaning rags. Also need to install towel bars or hooks for the bathrooms. Otherwise we really enjoyed our time at this place!

Girl’s trip!!
We had a wonderful time!! There were 11 ladies. Everyone had comfortable beds with several to spare. Very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials, as well as towels and linens. There is an elevator for the convenience of carrying ice chests and luggage. Plenty of parking. If you are going on a cooler weekend, take extra blankets. There is adequate bedding for warm weather but not extra bedding for cooler weather. Perfect place for large families, several couples or groups. Management is extremely responsive to any questions or concerns. Just a stones throw to the beach. It is also close to many restaurants and the Strand. We also recommend The Porch Cafe in the same area. We highly recommend this property. ❤️

Family Reunion
Our experience with the house was overall a positive one. The house was accurately described, and the check in process was as well. No complaints with this.
The furniture as well as the other furnishings were adequate, but the refrigerator wasn't the greatest. The posting warned about putting a lot of warm items in the refrigerator, that it wouldn't be able to keep up. So we refrigerated everything (including drinks) before coming down and kept everything cold in coolers till we were able to check in. The refrigerator just doesn't keep things very cold. We were very concerned with the temperature of our meat items.
The only negative thing that I can mention is the issue we had with bugs, roaches and ants. To the property managers credit, he had an exterminator out the next morning, but we were forced to throw out a lot of non refrigerated food that we brought with us because the bugs were able to penetrate through the packaging. Additionally, the bugs were in the bed linens as well. It's not a pleasant experience sleeping with bugs. The exterminator mentioned to one of our guests that the issue was a big one, and sprayed and placed traps all over the house. Again, embarrassing.
Overall it was a good experience, but we were not expecting the bug issue. We didn't expect a rental of this cost to have a problem with bugs. At a minimum, the cleaning crew should have seen the bugs and taken care of it prior to us checking in.
My suggestion is to add this to the list of items the cleaning crew checks for. We noticed the bugs within the first 15 minutes of being in the house, although we didn't know the extent of the problem until it was too late. Maybe exterminate the home between each rental until the issue is resolved.

Didnt meet my expection
Overall, our stay is ok. I expected a lot for the price. But, it just didnt meet my expectation. The carpet of one of the room is wet. So, that room smelled like a wet socks. There are so much ants in the kitchen. And, the water dispenser of the fridge is leaking.

Nice Family Get Away
the house and location were great. Nice community, near many sites and close to beach. The elevator was not working when we got there. The management sent someone immediately but they were not able to repair. the down side was it was a 4 story house so an elevator would have been really nice.
The only negative was that the house furnishings were dirty and worn. Cushions and pillows were damaged and dirty. It made it hard to want to sit and relax. There were several sheetrock repairs that had been started and not completed before we got there. There were 2 TV's and one was not connected. Yes, we could have connected it, but we didn't. Management was responsive and nice but I think for the money, I would likely stay in a hotel next time.

The property was beautiful and all our guests were very comfortable!

Such a disappointment!
Totally dirty! I thought for this price it would be nice. Only one TV in this whole house!!!! Everything including rugs and upholstery were covered in dirt. The master shower upstairs had thick black mold in corners which is actually a health hazard. We paid 1400 per night to sit on filthy upholstery and use a standard tub/shower combo due to health hazard in shower. This house is definitely not visited by the owners. Everything, like window coverings from Walmart, is super cheap. It’s just an investor’s asset, not something we’ll taken care of. Totally Spartan on inside. Just a total disappointment!

Great house and plenty of rooms for our big family. I loved the kitchen and all the different balconies on the different floors of the house. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much

Close to the beach
Property was exactly as advertised. There was a slight miscommunication from property manager about when we would receive the gate code for the community, but everything else was smooth and went as expected. The property manager responded promptly to messages and questions. The property was well stocked with dishes, glasses, and kitchen pots/pans/utensils. The location was perfect with easy access to beach and plenty of places to order to go food or pick up groceries.

Unhappy with our stay. Several problems.
we had a couple of issues that were major and one minor. While we weren’t expecting perfection, I think a working AC is a reasonable expectation. Maintenance told us had they been informed on Friday, they still would not have come out until Saturday due to lack of visibility at night. A part in the AC unit had to be replaced to get the Ac going. 8 of the 12 people slept in the unbearable heat upstairs during the first night. The temperature was only tolerable during the second night. Additionally, the fly situation was something none of us had ever experienced before especially since we have stayed at beach houses all over galveston over the last several years. We had to purchase an electric zapper and fly swatters - the situation was reasonably controlled only by Saturday evening. We were told that the flies is a common thing in the area which seemed more like an excuse. The flies were there the minute we walked in the house and this made us believe that there maybe food around or the kitchen was just not cleaned properly. Lastly, the smoking oven was explained by maintenance as a cleaning issue. We didn’t know this until Saturday so we were only able to use it on that day.
We have rented 4 homes in the area over the course of 5 years and felt this experience really was unacceptable. While the home is extremely beautiful, we felt our event was marred by the above. We contacted the number in the Vrbo booking when we received the email to provide a review. We never received a response back and so a private message was sent to the person on the vrbo app who also stopped responding. They were also not accommodating when we asked for 1 hr early checkin and check out. Unfortunately, we will never be back to this house or recommend it to our friends.

Great Place!
Wow, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Steps away from the beach, super easy access at the walkover, and very well maintained. The home is clearly pretty new, and all of the furniture is like new, the beds were comfy and the owner is very responsive! All of our questions were answered within a matter of minutes which is pretty rare based on my experience. The elevator was a big plus, highly recommend!

Galveston Beauty!
What a beautiful home. The house was spacious, clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated. The beach was quiet during our stay, very serene, and just a few minutes from downtown. We are already discussing a return trip in the fall!

East End Gold!
Beautiful home in a quiet, private gated community on the East end of Galveston, this was just the right place for my family. We've stayed a number of times on the west end, but there was nothing like being just a few minutes from downtown and also directly on a private beach. The elevator, bedroom layout and customer service made this home exactly what we needed.
