We have stayed at this house in the past and rented it again for the location and proximity to the sound which is great. The house does need some work which we shared above but overall a very nice stay.

We absolutely loved the view from this house. The sunsets were amazing and we spent every evening on the deck enjoying the sun going down. Can't find a better view on the island.

We had a wonderful time.

The only thing nice about this property is the view. Numerous safety issues throughout the house. Tv’s and kitchen appliances that were broken or did not work. Rain water poured through the ceiling in the living room. When you call VACASA with a problem, you get their call center in CENTRAL AMERICA!!! Never again with VACASA/Hatteras Reality. Back to Midgett.

We loved the view and location of the home. But the home needs some much need updated care. Cosmetically and equipment. Basic stuff as making sure all the lights work or need light bulbs.

A spacious, quiet retreat that offers easy access to Pamlico Sound for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. Well maintained and nicely furnished with plenty of room for family and guests.

Dog friendly and spacious. Loved the different levels for multi generation vacation.

House was perfect size for my family and pets. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Glad we bought our own blankets for the bed. A really nice addition to this house would be to put skirts on the beds and a nice comforter. The views were amazing and we loved the wrap around porch and decks. Very private location. Thank you for having us!

The view is impeccable. The layout of the house is incredible. The porches are amazing. The new huge TVs are going to be something to look forward to, although we don’t watch much tv on vacation unless it’s raining! Watching the storm over the sound and the lightning strikes come closer and closer was surreal. The water pressure was RIGHT ON! So many great things.

The location of this home, directly on the Pamlico Sound and a stones throw from ocean beach ramp #49 in Frisco, is ideal. The sunsets and windsurfing or paddling conditions are outstanding.

This was our third summer in Frisco, our first at this house. The setting is beautiful and quiet. The house was clean with a well stocked kitchen. When we were there, they had added a second fridge and the hot tub, appliances and showers all worked well. We rented kayaks and, in between trips to the beach and the bakery for apple uglies, we spent the days exploring the sound and fishing off the shore. In the evenings we ate dinner on the deck watching sunsets. We saw sea otters, rays, birds and so many hermit crabs. When it rained we played ping pong. The house was spacious for our group of 7, but not overwhelming. It’s a bit of a drive to our favorite beach by the lighthouse, but there were several access points within 10 min and it was easy to get to restaurants and the marinas.

This house has an amazing location and views but the house needs better maintenance and feng shui. Although we really loved the location, we would not rent this house again for 10K for 2 weeks, unless it gets TLC. Read below for a full bulleted list of my families pros and cons.
PROS
- The location is great – on a private road with little to no traffic at all (very quiet)
- The backyard view is incredible
- Easy walking entry into the sound (great for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing)
- Dog friendly
- Wrap around deck/porch (but very moldy and nails sticking out – needs to be power-washed once a season)
- Outdoor shower re-done (but the light inside barely works)
- Hot tub is hot (but only one jet is very strong)
- Extremely close to Frisco beach entrance
CONS
- End of driveway floods with heavy rain and makes it very muddy
- Trees in driveway need to be trimmed back (we had two large trucks)
- 5 cars in driveway require a frequent car shuffle to exit driveway
- Kitchen is extremely small for a 10 person house. More than 2-3 people in the kitchen, forget about it.
- You can't open the dishwasher and fridge at the same time
- Bulbs in the fridge are too hot and melt plastic nearby/touching them
- The house would be better with a second fridge in the basement (if you have 10 people and stay for 2 weeks)
- The interior and exterior plug outlets work poorly and rarely hold any plugs in
- Lots of the windows don't have hand cranks or screens so you cannot open them
- The sliding doors are all hard to open and close (need to be oiled)
- Black mold in all the vents (if you're seriously allergic to mold - don't book)
- The upstairs and downstairs TV's don't work
- The sound system/audio quality for the TV on the kitchen floor isn't great
- The spiral staircase is shaky, loud, and possibly dangerous
- Game tables are worn out, especially the hockey table (it also felt very strange to have a huge ping pong table right in the downstairs entryway)
- The main door code lock broke during our visit
I hope this review helps other renters and the home owner make improvements.

This house is right on the Sound in Frisco. It is the perfect location for kayaking on the sound, and catching gorgeous sunsets. The rooms are all spacious, and the house can accommodate a large group. The cleaning of the house left something to be desired.

Great Location
We love staying at the sound and taking our cars over sand to the ocean beach just three minutes away, with a convenient stop at Frisco Rod & Gun for ice and bait on the way. And it’s so nice to come back after a day at the ocean to our waterfront deck on the sound side and watch the sun set.

The views in this house are incredible! We loved every minute we spent there. The sound access was great for relaxing days at the house, we brought our paddle board & had a great time going out at sunset. It's in a wonderful location for one of the drive on beach access points & just a 15 min drive from the Ocracoke Island Ferry. I only took off one star because the vents in the house were all full of black mold. That seemed fitting with the salt air, but the vents definitely needed to be cleaned. The spiral staircase to the 4th floor was very sketchy. Some of the bolts seemed loose, and it shook like crazy going up & down. I could imagine that climb would be difficult for an older couple, or dangerous for children..Even w/that... We would stay here again.

We are Hatteras Island regulars and travel down about every three weeks. We have stayed in many rentals on the island. We enjoyed our stay at 180 Degree. The home itself is nice with many amenities. There are a few things that need upgrading/updating - such as many of the outlets are overused and need to be replaced. The spiral staircase going to the master upstairs would be dangerous to anyone with medical/disabilities. Many of the windows have broken blinds/missing cranks for the window. The kitchen cabinets were a disarray and difficult to find anything. Make sure to bring extra blankets/pillows. Overall nice stay/nice home, just needs some updating.
