About this bed and breakfast
Estuary is our recently refurbished 'flagship room'. It is entered via the front door and by traversing along a beautifully decorated hallway and stairwell. There are wonderful antique mirrors, classical nautical prints as well as a range of accessories such as the 'deco-style' free-standing fan, 19th century French chairs and a beautiful Victorian sofa covered in plush velvet.
Felt by many to have the classic feel of a plush colonnial club room this spacious & light room is furnished with antique mahogany furniture matched with contemporary fabrics, finishes & an elegant Farrow & Ball colour scheme.
The new King Size colonial style bed & restored Victorian sofa provide that little bit extra when compared to a 'normal' hotel room. The room offers stunning views over the Camel Estuary, Rock & Bodmin Moor. The room overlooks our award walled garden & the Jubilee Monument. The Estuary Room is a sumptuous place to relax & two large sash windows give the room a light & airy mood.
It has the feel of a self-contained apartment and offers 100% privacy - there's no need to see anyone else during your stay if you want that little bit of extra privacy. The Estuary Room has a large, family size private* bathroom with a roll-top antique cast-iron bath positioned to offer views (through the plantation shutters) over the Camel Estuary while you soak your stresses & strains away. The bathroom also has a large separate shower cubicle.
*The private bathroom is accessed across a small landing & down a few stairs. The bathroom is not shared with other guests but please note that it is not en-suite. You will have the entire side of the house to yourself so there's no need to worry about encountering other guests!
Coswarth House is not your usual B&B and has no aspirations to be regarded as such! It is designed for the discerning traveller who wishes to maintain their privacy in traditional and sumptuous surroundings. We offer accommodation in Padstow combining the benefits of period charm & boutique styling. Our breakfast is provided by our friends at Rick Stein's - usually in St. Petroc's Bistro - which is a very short walk from the house.
Our spacious, light bedrooms have been freshly refurbished to create relaxing spaces where antique furniture sits comfortably alongside contemporary touches. Our bedrooms have luxurious, spacious en-suite bathrooms with powerful showers & antique cast iron roll top baths to soak away your stresses & strains. Soft, fluffy towels, waffle robes & stylish aromatherapy bathroom products add a touch of opulence.

As part of a long holiday in Europe & the UK. We included Cornwall as part of our holiday. Picked Coswarth House after reading a lot of reviews. We weren’t disappointed.. the house is in a great location, just 5 minutes from the the harbour and all the restaurants and cafes. Jack met us on our arrival, and ran us through the “house rules”.Jack is a real character and was only to obliging with any requests that we had. His sense of humour made our stay that more enjoyable.

The location of Coswarth House was perfect just 5 minutes walk from town centre. The house was lovely, beautifully arranged, spotless with a delightful small immaculately tended garden. Our room on the first floor had a view of the estuary from the bed, what more can you ask for! The bathroom was stunning. The operations manager Jack was always discreetly available, charming and most helpful if you had any questions or requests. The icing on the cake the inclusive breakfast at Rick Stein's Cafe

We loved our stay at Coswarth house - a beautiful Georgian building with a lovely garden and view of the Padstow Harbour. Mark was an impeccable host and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We would definitely come back.

We stayed here for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic break. The personal service from Jack made us feel very welcome and it's location made access to the town very easy. It was also a delight to have breakfast at Rock Steins Cafe. Really recommend Coswarth House if you want somewhere special to stay in Padstow.

Our few days in Padstow at Coswarth House were most enjoyable. In these difficult times for the hospitality industry the effort put into this accommodation felt like a shining star ! Padstow and Rock are a joy to visit.

Accommodation is ideally placed for access to all Padstow has to offer. Room was spacious, clean and well equiped. We were provided with all the information we needed to make our stay memorable and trouble free. Off street parking is also very welcome in a town where parking space is at a premium. Would highly recommend.
