About this bed and breakfast
A two bedroom 17th Century self catering holiday cottage, with access directly onto the historic Bail Gate or via our car park located behind the pub. Upstairs there are two double bedroom with king sized beds. The beds can be converted to two single beds if required. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath tub.
On the ground floor there is a large lounge - dining room and a well fitted kitchen. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge. Outside to the rear is a private small patio area and access to the Hotel Car Park, Bar and Restaurant. Please note the self catering cottage has no disabled access.
Part of the successful independent Ever So Sensible Group of pubs and restaurants, which runs sites throughout the East Midlands, the Duke William offers you a very relaxed stay. Whether you're in the area for business, a short family break, romantic weekend or part of a celebration this is the ideal choice.
Free WiFi is available throughout the building. All the rooms have either baths of showers, some have both including free standing baths for that more luxurious soak. For families or close friends there are two interconnecting rooms allowing a party of up to 4 adults and two children to share a space behind a lockable door to the corridor. Apart from all the normal facilities we are also proud of offering probably the most comfortable beds in Lincoln.
Breakfast is included in all room rates using quality local ingredients and cooked fresh to order. A breakfast buffet of pastries, yogurts and cereals is also on offer. All of our food in our pub is freshly prepared using only local suppliers. Food is served from 7.30am - 9pm every day and booking is strongly advised.
We have a fantastic range of local cask conditioned ales, British craft beer, a great selection of soft drinks and naturally a comprehensive wine list.
Available to book is a 17th century self catering cottage adjacent to the building. This is situated directly on the Bailgate with access to the hotel car park. Two upstairs bedrooms (sleeping double or twin) and a modern fitted bathroom with an open plan lounge area with a sofa bed downstairs in the lounge. The fully equipped kitchen leads out onto a small patio with outside seating and access to the car park and an entry into the pub.
Although limited, our car park is for our hotel and cottage guests only.

Booked the Duke William cottage for a weekend away with family. The cottage exceeded expectation, free parking, great location for exploring Lincoln, equipped with everything you needed & the welcome milk and homemade biscuits were a lovely touch. Beds were very comfy with quality bedding. We had a great meal in the pub Friday night, food was delicious & the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had the same experience for breakfast on the Sunday morning, Would definitely come back!

Lincoln is a fabulous city to visit. Our stay in the Cottage was ideal. Warm, comfortable, within easy distance of everything. Even with mobility issues life was made easy. Food and atmosphere in the hotel was great.

Four of us recently stayed in the Cottage next to the Duke William Pub and Restaurant. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday.
The lady (Manager of the Pub) who dealt with us was really nice and very helpful. It was also great to have off street parking.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to all of my friends as a definite place to stay.

Lincoln is worth a visit, also for more than just a day.
