About this cottage rental
A spacious conversion comprising a sitting/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.
Wallis Farmhouse is a late Georgian farmhouse in the picturesque village of Hardwick. We provide a variety of self-catering accommodation, close to the city of Cambridge in England. The house stands in extensive gardens adjoining our meadows and woodland, which border the Wimpole Way. Hardwick is 5 miles from the university city of Cambridge, and 15 miles from Ely and Newmarket.
We have six individual self-catering Barns and Cottage at Wallis Farm, each with its own unique character, and offering a variety of accommodation for two to four people. The first three are in a converted barn across the courtyard from the Farmhouse. Many of the original features of the building have been retained, and the rooms are furnished and equipped to a high standard. The second three are in modern L- shaped building and have views over the gardens and farmland. One Cottage has been adapted with a ramp for wheelchair access and a bathroom modified for people with mobility problems. All our accommodation has gas central heating with TV and internet access. Towels and Linen is provided.

Lovely architecture, well restored, nice living space, plenty of parking, comfortable beds. Stayed with my children who was absolutely thrilled with the grounds and think it was the best holiday home ever. Very peaceful, only noise overnight was an owl.

We had side by side cottages with family - the little touches of kitchen basics and toiletries were very much appreciated. A lovely cosy and homely feel with a very welcoming host

A two week period during which participation in the World Masters Real Tennis championships took place; we were able to entertain family and friends at The Old Barn and explore Cambridge and the surrounding district.

Away from the bustle of London, Wallis farm house was a perfect base for a week for myself, my husband and elderly parents who were visiting from the USA. The accomodation was well-equipped and Christine was really friendly and helpful. A really enjoyable visit. Highly recommended.

Fabulous accommodation in an excellent location for visiting family in Cambridge. We stayed in the Old Barn which has lovely, really clean and well equipped. The grounds were great for exploring and there were some lovely walks from the accommodation too. Ideal for the dog! Looking forward to returning again soon

Good, comfortable cottage for a family of 5, within easy drive from Cambridge. Good sized bedrooms with the advantage of having two bathrooms, a good living area, separate kitchen and outside patio space with table and chairs. The property also benefits from shared use of the owners' large garden and other areas.
The pretty village of Hardwick is quiet, and is good for short walks. It also has a local pub and village convenience store.

Me and my best friend have just enjoyed a pleasant three-night stay in one of the Wallis Farm cottages. It was clean, attractive and well equipped and the owners were extremely friendly. Lovely surroundings and a relaxing break.

Our second stay and just as good as last year. Standards of cleanliness are high and the cottage is warm and cosy. Very useful to have a second bathroom. This is an ideal location for visiting Cambridge and exploring the area. Very peaceful yet only 15 min drive from town centre and M11. Super pub 2 minute walk away from cottage and the shop is less than a 15 minute walk. You can walk into Cambridge across farmland, just over 5 miles.

We booked this accommodation as it was set in a rural location yet within easy reach of Cambridge. We had a wonderful weekend exploring Cambridge and Wallis Farm is a great place to stay.
We stayed in The Old Barn which was ideal for two couples. It had two en suite bedrooms and a good sized living area. Also there was parking on-site with the local pub, serving great food within walking distance.
Would highly recommend.

We came for a wedding, two family groups of varying ages staying in 2 cottages. A perfect arrangement. On arrival everyone thought Wallis House was great and we had a wonderful stay. The grounds were delightful and the cottages well equipped, clean and comfortable. Good road access from Hardwick meant we avoided the Cambridge traffic.

We had 4 cottages for a family wedding. The cottages offered us a home from home where we were able to relax and entertain. We all had a very happy time there and we're impressed by the sympathetic conversions of the cottages, the comfort of the beds and the quietness of the location. We were also grateful for the owners being so accommodating.

We had a lovely stay while coming to visit family in the area. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The kitchen facilities were perfect for making our own lunches and dinners when we needed, with a table for eating outside. The grounds were great, with plenty of space for our eight year-old to run around in. Highly recommend!

We liked the accommodation- with two ensuite rooms it's perfect for two couples. The hosts are friendly and helpful . It's very clean and comfortably furnished. Easy access to Cambridge City centre. Great walks on the doorstep.. It was warm and cosy, even though the weather was the coldest it's been for years. We'll definitely be back!
