Great view and quiet location! Enjoyed the deck and fire pit area. Nice dining room space and kitchen.
Recommendations: There was no tv in room with bunk bed but lists a tv on listing. TV in master bedroom would not work. Bed in master bedroom and 2nd bedroom could use new matress were not comfortable.

This home is even better than the pictures display. The home is extremely clean, well decorated, and very welcoming. The views are beautiful and the patio is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. I met one of the owners upon arrival, and she was very friendly and helpful. Don was very responsive to any questions we had and was easy to communicate with. We used the pontoon boat for two days, which was a lot of fun to visit some of the restaurants on the lake. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking to travel to the castle rock lake area. The neighborhood is friendly , and the lake was fun.

We had a wonderful time at this Castle Rock Lake property. The view is amazing and the house was very clean. The extra sunroom is a great space and there was plenty of room for 6 adults. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and items for cooking your own meals. Don was very responsive when we had questions. The fire pit was perfect as it was nice and cool when we visited. Would definitely recommend!!

Overall, a great place. Clean, welcoming, and just the right size for our family of 5(plus two doggos). The welcome basket was a nice touch. We brought our pontoon up, and utilized the pier. The sunsets are breathtaking. Would def book again. Not going to tell you what week though, so no one takes it. ;)

We had a wonderful time at this property on Castle Rock Lake! The views from inside the house and outside were exactly what we needed to get out of the city life. Downtown Dells was a quick 35 min drive so we went to town one day. I highly recommend renting their boat as well. It was awesome to have for the entire day and sunsets on the water. There are a few pull up beach bars to get out and enjoy some food, drinks, sand and water. The sunsets were breathtaking! The hosts were awesome and everything went off without a hitch! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Enjoyed my time with mom and daughter at this easily accessible and comfortable home. Celebrated our birthdays: 90 years, 60 years, and 40 years. It was nice for my 90-year-old mom to move safely around the home and outside. Thank you

My family and I had an amazing time at this lake house. The house is perfect, so nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, very clean, everything you need to make some great meals. The views of the lake were breathtaking! The outdoor seating was perfect, big table and chairs to gather around deep seating area, fire pit could not have been better. Don and Stacie were fabulous hosts! I wish to thank them for opening their home to us, and the sweet welcome basket on the kitchen table when we walked in was much appreciated. Also being able to rent their boat was over the top! We would definitely return!

Wonderful Waterfront Property!
Thank you, Don and Stacie for sharing your beautiful lake house! It was the perfect place for my family’s vacation. You made us feel welcome the moment we booked our reservation. It’s very clear how much you love your property and how much you want your guests to have an outstanding experience and stay!
The house fit our family of 7 adults and 2 children. It was spotless upon arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked: we cooked 2 big breakfasts and 1 big dinner. Our favorite things were enjoying the sunsets from the backyard, playing games at the large dining table, cooking s’mores and telling stories around the fire in the backyard, and cruising around the lake in the pontoon.
Thank you again! Hope to be back soon!

Waterfront Wonderful!
The Hogan's Lake House was the perfect setting for our first family vacation with extended family. The lake front property provided endless hours of fun! Our 5 day stay didn't seem long enough with all of the opportunities the house and area provided. The swimming & fishing off of the dock was a highlight for all! We couldn't bait the hooks fast enough for the kids catching one after another :)
The house was fully stocked with all of the essentials and all of the furniture was beyond comfortable! The lake house was spotless upon arrival with very simplified arrival instructions allowing getting settled in a quick process...& getting on the water within minutes! We will definitely be booking this property again!

Very clean rental home with an amazing view of the lake.
The rental home was very clean and well furnished. A welcome basket was waiting for us when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The view is amazing. We came in late March when the lake was still frozen in spots and it was too cold to be outside for very long and it seemed like we had the neighborhood to ourselves. The house had everything we needed for a quick getaway.

Nice house, modern and clean - rocky lake, not direct access to lake
Everything was really nice, the house is decorated with a very nautical theme. There are a lot of nats and mosquitos by the lake in the evening, so definitely bring your bug spray. The property is very modern and inviting. The lake is right there but it is rocky and I brought my dog with hoping he could jump right in but there is no sandy beach there or a way for him to get in and out. We walked about a few blocks to another little beach access and got him in the water. Please note- there are no markets nearby, this place is definitely in the country. There are some cute places to eat nearby like Costa Ricky's but for grabbing some convenience items, it is pretty much the Citgo.

Relaxing get away
The Lake house was very nice and beautiful sunsets were amazing!
We also rented the pontoon boat, it was very relaxing being on the water.
If you are a coffee drinker you might want to bring your own coffee pot there is only a Kurig( I like more than one cup).

Excellent place to stay!
This was a perfect place for our group’s annual getaway! The house had all the amenities we needed, comfortable space to sleep, and the outdoor space was incredible. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. All in all, we had a wonderful stay!

Wonderful lakefront getaway
This house had everything we wanted for a week-long getaway! Large outdoor space with lounge seating, dining, picnic table and our favorite spot: chaise lounges overlooking the lake. The house is spacious with dining space, living space, and a great sunroom for lounging. We had a great time and are looking forward to booking our next trip with the whole family.

Great family vacation for 10!
My husband and I rent property every year for our summer vacation and this spot was a fantastic one! This year we brought my parents and their lab dog plus our teenager invited FIVE friends. (Yes, that’s 4 adults + 6 teens and a dog) We never once felt cramped or without anything we needed during our 5-night stay (even when tornado watches were announced and we found flashlights)!
The kids took over the beautiful sun room with DVDs and board games and lounging, while adults stayed mostly outside enjoying the blue chaise loungers and the patio couch. There were plastic Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, a nice dock to fish off of and play fetch with the pooch, and an array of kitchen necessities for the various cooking and drinking we did.
Both bathrooms were well appointed and updated with ample soft towels and good water pressure. The fridge had a really nice ice maker and filtered water, and was plenty big enough for all our groceries. The Bunk room was great for our teens and the many extra blankets and pillows allowed them to cozy up in the sun room.
The AC ran frequently but kept the house cool despite many bodies moving about and doors opening frequently. There are updated ceiling fans in every room, and little touches too like extension cords in the bedroom and nightlights in the bathrooms.
The owners clearly take pride in their property as they should because it’s a great space. We felt it was well worth the cost especially with the size of our party and the fact that we had so much room!
*We did not intend to use Internet on this trip and while we did try to link in a few times, the speeds were 1/10th what we are accustomed to in MKE at home. That being said - we didn’t mind being untethered AT ALL and it forced us to pay more attention to each other.
Thank you Don and Stacie for sharing your property with us. We really enjoyed our time, and the memories our kids made after a year with little contact together - priceless! They’ll never forget their time at your place 😍.

The place was wonderful! Right on the lake with amazing views. We stayed in the same home last year and noticed the owner had made some improvements. There was also a gift basket with items for adults and my kids. That was a very nice surprise. The listing seems to need updating. I assumed we could use the grill and when we got there the notebook with information said we should have marked on the listing if we wanted to use the grill. I did not see that choice on the listing. So we did not grill. Also, I received an email from the owners they had a pontoon that we could rent. We had already made reservations with a company on the lake. So we canceled them and paid for and rented the pontoon that was part of the property for two days. We couldn’t get the boat in the water because the electronic lift kept clicking and the light on the device flashed red. We called the owner and did all his suggestions to no avail. He was not able to get someone to look at the lift either day we rented it. That was very disappointing, but we were promised a full refund.

AWESOME PLACE!!!!
I recently stayed at this lake house with a group of 7 guys. It was amazing!! Everything was clean and set up to perfection. Pontoon boat to rent right on the dock was a must! Boat ran awesome. We had Zero problems with anything which is hard to say anymore. Customer service is very hard to come by these days, But that was not the case with these owners. They truly care about every detail of their lovely place and it shows! I will be staying here again in the near future with my family. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

A Great Lake and Getaway Home
The views from the home and deck were fantastic. We swam in the lake everyday. The home was very clean and had everything that is needed. The internet is not very strong; there is a DVD collection for adults and kids.

At first glance, it looked clean and nice. After one evening the dirt started to show... air conditioner was so loud we couldn't use it. Plus, it was never turned on before we arrived so the dust was awful. The TV - could not watch local channels or anything but streaming and the streaming was so buffered you couldn't watch it. The electrical was exposed in a couple of areas. The closet where the washer and dryer were - the folding doors would not close so to go into the best room in the house, a porch with windows looking out on the lake, you had to constantly side step the folding doors. I wrote a head of time and asked about a boat dock and was told there was one right on the property - which there wasn't. It hadn't been set up yet - if that was even possible. The lighting situation was totally confusing. You had to try different light switches to find the one that worked for the light you wanted on. You can tell the owners are working at making the place worth the price they are asking, but it's not there yet. It still needs alot of work. The cupboards in the kitchen were wrapped with cheap wrap that was coming off as well as the cupboards not shutting properly. Like I said - it still needs alot of work! I truly felt ripped off at the price we paid. We were driving across country looking for lakes/houses to visit/buy that we wanted to come back to, to explore and possibly buy a place. We're not saying Castle Rock Lake is not one of them - but this house for sure is not one we will want to rent again - sorry --Oh and on top of all that, we called "Don" and told him about the TV out on the porch with the wonderful windows not working. He said to unplug it and wait. That's when we saw the awful hanging electrical plug. We never got the TV working

My sisters and I (3 of us) decided to do an impromptu Mother's Day weekend (sans husbands and kids) and after much research, selected the "Lake House" (about 35 minutes north of Wisconsin Dells). The house was spectacular: Nicely decorated, super clean and had a modern kitchen/appliances. We were welcomed with a nice "Welcome basket" full of nice goodies. But the best feature of the house was seriously the view of the lake from the back family room and dining room/kitchen area. It was so relaxing to see the lake all day long. It was so soothing seeing the lake everyday. My sisters (I was too lazy) did yoga on the deck, we went walking after dinner, ate a yummy (and just opened) BBQ place at Shady Akers BBQ, went to Buckhorn State Park and Roche A Cri state park (go to Roche a Cri state park which is closer to the house and more scenic in my opinion) to go walking 3-4 miles everyday. We experienced some inconsistent internet but the owner(s) were super fast with answering my questions when I reached out to them. Know that the house doesn't have any cable (but you can sign in your Netflix, Plex, etc accounts) and/or bring DVDs. Our favorite room was the back family room overlooking the lake. The L shaped couch was really comfy and we kept inadvertently falling asleep at times watching our movies. The house had a lot of natural lighting and had a lot of personal touches which we appreciated. Too bad it was a tad cold out as we definitely would have hung out in the back patio area with all the amenities they had (picnic table, dining table, lounge chairs, seating, etc). This house was really a gem and glad we found it!
