About this bed and breakfast

Swallows Nest really is something special with a fabulous upstairs bedroom on a open plan gallery where you can lay in your super king sized bed looking up to the stars which really sparkle in our rural part of Norfolk. Downstairs there is a spacious lounge with comfy sofa and flat screen TV/DVD player. You’ll love the stylish, convenient and easy-to-use Nespresso coffee machine – we think it produces an almost perfect cup of coffee! You have your own front door for complete privacy and a private court yard garden. In the room there is a fridge and glasses in case you want to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne. As an extra treat If you would like to have breakfast in your room we will happily bring a full English breakfast or homemade waffles to your door for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own lounge or maybe outside in the early morning sunshine on the deck in your own little garden. The extra special treat in Swallows nest is the bathroom, which is anything but average with a large sunken bath for two if you are feeling romantic, or for one with lots of bubbles, a good book and glass of wine! There is also a separate powerful shower. With his and hers sinks, luxury toiletries and soft fluffy towels and robes, it really is bathroom heaven.
Based down a quiet country lane with views across farm land to the sea the Dairy Barns is a purpose designed red brick barn conversation locatated on our family farm with a selection of 6 lovely rooms and 3 extra special rooms with a stunning main breakfast barn and coastal themed lounge. Our 6 rooms, all on the ground floor – Dahlia, Norfolk Lavender, Red Poppy, Sunrise, Seaside and King fisher – each beautifully colour-themed. They are very comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and all come with those important little finishing touches such as homemade cake and fresh milk on arrival, toiletries,delightful fresh flowers and of course television and well stocked hot drinks tray. They all en-suite with shower cubicle and luxury towels and have wonderfully comfy twin or super king size beds with crisp linen and cosy, pretty duvets. We often host large family groups and several of our rooms can also accommodate children.

Take a look at our Extra Special Rooms for that extra hint of luxury and additional space – perfect for that special occasion or if you just want to treat yourselves! Each is completely self-contained with a lounge area with TV, comfy sofa and dining table, luxury bathroom with fluffy towels, robes and luxury toiletries provided and all have super king size bed and each has doors leading onto their own private courtyard garden.

All have their own front door for complete privacy and are very special places to stay. All have a kettle so you can make a cup of tea or hot chocolate, Nespresso Machine and of course a fridge and glasses in case you want to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne. We can even bring you breakfast in bed.

For guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users, Kingfisher is ideal, with wider doorways and a large wet room style en-suite with shower seat. However, if you have specific needs please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Lovely place, spotlessly clean, such a spacious room with the biggest bathroom and bath ever. Great hospitality, staff are all so friendly and Hannah’s mum is like a tourist information guide. Best breakfasts with loads of choice. Slept so well and would love to return sometime.

We stayed at diary barns on valentines night in swallow nest, it was a very spacious special room, we arrived to a bottle of champers chocolates, cake which made it extra special, the room was very cosy and clean with Lots of fnishing touches, the breakfast hit the spot too, we would highly recommend, the staff were very friendly, nothing was to much trouble, we would definitely go back Many thanks Diane and paul

Accommodation is immaculate and breakfast is second to none! Staff are friendly and go the extra mile. Location is excellent for beautiful beaches and the Broads with a great selection of places to eat and drink. We visit twice a year and the standard is consistently high. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Birthday treat from hubby and it didn't disappoint.We were greeted with a smile when we arrived and were shown to the most wonderful room I have stayed at. The swallows nest was a split level room and waiting for us was a couple of slices of cake and fresh milk. Very comfie sofa and the room has everything you could need. The bath is huge I almost feel asleep soaking in bubbles.

I've had another lovely stay at the Dairy Barns in the Swallows Nest room. As always everyone is so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was very yummy I do love their choice of different waffles but there is so much choice for breakfast. My room is truly luxurious, I have never stayed in a place with such a big bathroom. I can't wait for my next stay.

Such a lovely room with a comfortable bed and an amazing bathroom. The lounge area and outside patio gives absolute flexibility enabling relaxed time in the base to read or watch films without the need to go out all the time. So many places of interest within a twenty minute drive makes this the perfect base. The staff, food and little luxurious touches just put the cherry on top!

The Dairy barns is a tranquil and beautiful spot. Set alongside the farm with beautiful, open views of the Norfolk countryside. The accommodation is so well thought out, with comfortable furnishings and lovely small touches to help you enjoy your stay. The barn is gorgeous where you can sit and relax whilst you eat your delicious breakfast. Finally, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and service is always with a smile. Highly recommended for a wonderful trip away.

The Swallows Nest is an amazing suite to stay in, and we get very pampered. Breakfasts are fabulous - super choices. The welcome on arrival, service at breakfast and in general is warm, friendly and it felt like we were part of the family. The location is perfect for beach, Broads and other places to visit. We booked dairy barns for 2 nights due to its proximity to Waxham great barn where we held our wedding. Our family booked a lot of the rooms too. We heard about the dairy barns previously which had excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. Hannah was extremely helpful throughout and in the lead up. All the staff were very friendly and seemed happy to be there. We loved having a little stroke of the horses too. Rooms well kitted out and lovely courtyard area to spend with our family.

We love coming back to The Dairy Barns. It’s a special place for us having got married there. We love coming back for a relaxing weekend away. We love the Swallows Nest room with the luxury bathroom. Staff friendliness is always great and nothing too much for them. The rural location is just lovely and adds to the peace and quiet.
