The Lakefront Beach House is a special property that breathes the history of the original 1940's lake cottage architecture but updated with an open floorplan and modern coastal vibe. For the 2024 season we did major updates to the property including adding new craftsman shaker ceilings, built-ins, tile shower, amazing new windows in the sunroom, appliances, furnishings, décor, and bedding which blend into the original character of the home while producing a feeling of luxury and relaxation. If you are looking for a unique property that will surely trigger nostalgic memories of being a child … you found it!
Enjoy the convenience of watching the kids from the patio while they play at the park and beach literally 25 feet away from the house and firepit evening sunsets with Cedar Point in a distance and the silhouette of the pier. Sunrises are enjoyed with a cup of coffee from the sea wall. You will love having meals in the sunroom and on the patio with awesome views of boats passing by on Lake Erie. When the wind is out of the northeast you'll experience Pacific ocean like waves crash across the pier and beach.
This is a fisherman's dreamhouse as you cast your line just feet from the home.

This was the most beautiful home I’ve stayed in. This beach house was worth every penny and the host were the absolute best, we will be returning

Given that pet friendly properties with good location on the lake are limited….this was a great option for our family. The sun room with great views of the lake, outdoor patio with fire pit, quick access to a park to walk the dog were our favorite parts of this house. We were lucky enough to be treated to a great fireworks display overlooking the lake on our last day here!
4.8
We stayed for a family vacation. It was a perfect spot for fishing, swimming and relaxing. We would definitely book again!

Great location
Close enough to everything
But peaceful lake view

Stayed over the weekend for my class trip and the lodging here is exactly what we were looking for--beautiful scenery, great space for having meals and fellowship, by the lake, close to CP, enough room for a group of 13. The place was perfect for our group and our needs. Thank you so much!

Would definitely consider for a future stay at the lake, which was beautiful! Park was a convenient place for the kids to burn off energy. The house is nice (kitchen could use some updates). Homeowner was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful time spent with family. Grandkids enjoyed park and beach area.
House was very clean, beds were very comfortable, plenty towels and spare sheets if needed.
Back bdr does not get much heat, you must leave all the doors open to warm it up.
The refrigerator leeks, or freezes over if turned up, some maintenance needed.
Over all I recommend this property… family friendly and close to everything.
Thank you for a lovely mini vacation spent at Huron

The house was perfect for our two families (8 people and 2 dogs). Everything was clean and comfortable. Communication with the owner was very good. She responded quickly to last minute requests and was very accommodating. The lake views were especially beautiful in the morning. We would stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing this home with myself & my family. This home feels like comfort & love, with beautiful views right on the water. The owner was very kind & simply checked in on us to ensure we had what we needed. We had zero issues or concerns. We intended our trip to be a quick getaway to enjoy downtime together; this was a perfect setting for myself, my teen daughters, my adult nieces, my sister-in-law & my mother-in-law. Until next time…

Location and views were perfect even with the winter weather, enough room for everyone in the house. Loved being able to take our dogs, and the park for the kids right out the door was perfect. Great communication with the property managers, greatly appreciated as we always have questions checking in and getting settled.

Our family loved this house. We stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with the layout. We ran into a kitchen issue early on that was quickly addressed and helped by the host, and all worked out in time for a thanksgiving meal. We would definitely return for another stay.

This little home was the perfect size for our group of 8 adults (and 1 baby) looking to relax, celebrate a birthday, and enjoy each other's company. We stayed Fri-Sun. We enjoyed the sunroom and sitting outdoors around the campfire, literally right on the lake.
The home was smaller than I personally anticipated, but the bedrooms were all fine and exactly as pictured. They are all off the main living area and were comfortable and clean.
We had just a few issues arise during our stay, but they were addressed promptly by the owner/host. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

As our kids have gotten older and now have their own families, it is harder to get together. While this was only a weekend stay, it was a wonderful time of laughter, good food at an incredible place with beautiful lake views and beach access just steps feom the back door - all with the comforts of home.

Can’t beat the location. House needs some updates.

The location of the house on the beach was excellent! The layout of the house was fine and as advertised. The host was easy to communicate with.
The house itself was pretty worn and needs maintenance/ updates. The appliances were old and had issues. The grill took at least 1 hour to clean before our first use, and only 3 of the 4 burners worked.
Overall we had a splendid time despite the hiccups with the house. If updates/improvements are made, I would return for another stay.

Our stay was overall good. The house could use some TLC with updates to broken window blinds, torn sofa back, broken patio furniture and attention to details by the cleaning crew. The owners were quick to respond to all issues that arose during our stay. The house is next to the public access to the beach area so it gets a bit crowded on the weekend but the local community is very welcoming.

We wanted to go somewhere not to far from home but somewhere that could accommodate us and somewhere that felt like we were on vacation. I saw this property and instantly loved it!!! This was spacious for us all to have a room and bed. We felt like we had our own private beach with the access to water right there . We brought Kayaks and had a blast on the water. There is a beautiful outdoor area where we grilled and ate and we even brought our outdoor screen and watched movies at night outside . The inside was perfect . The large table on the enclosed patio and seats where perfect for the board games we played . The kitchen was big enough to have 5 women cooking breakfast around each other and not get too stressed lol. They have EVERYTHING you could need in the kitchen as far as plates, utensils , cook ware…even spices , coffee, tea …down to paper towels . This place is awesome . The views are amazing . Our mother grew up on Lake Erie at her grandfathers lake house in marble head so in the morning I caught her out there on a chair watching the lake . I knew then it was perfect . The owners were amazing at working with us on times. They made sure we could spend as much time as we possibly could there making memories as a family . It was truly a beautiful and peaceful place to be !! We will FOR SURE be going back !!! If you are on the fence about booking here …DO IT!!

will definitely be back.

Everyone had so much fun and wants to go back! Beds and bedroom is very comfortable. The girls loved the fresh flowers. We spent the week in and around the water. Thank you!

My husband & I & our 5 grown/nearly grown children, our daughter-in-law, 9 mth old grandson, 2 boyfriends and our lab mix had a great week! We loved just hanging out at the house and cooking for ourselves. We rented a pontoon boat one day and a few went to Cedar Point another day. Mostly we enjoyed the water views (inside & out) & each other’s company. Great house - fun to be all on one level:)
4.8
Tremendous mix of everything to want in a trip to this area; waterfront, park-like setting, minutes to Cedar Point.
4.8
Nice beachside cottage with five usable bedrooms (2 are for kids as one is attached to another bedroom and the other is a small but cozy bunk bed room). Air conditioning worked great. The house had plenty of games and toys available for use. Kitchen had decent cooking supplies. It was a little cluttered with extra things left by other guests and a lot of decorations that we needed to put away so that we weren't worried about the kids breaking anything. firepit was very nice at night. The beach access is not private, and at times was a bit crowded. The older kids loved the playground although it is old equipment so might not be suitable for very little kids. Overall nice stay!

Best location on the coast!!

This property is great. My dogs loved being so close to the water- smells galore! The views were outstanding and listening to the water roll in was relaxing. We enjoyed the Comfy beds, snuggles by the fireplace and sitting in gratitude. Thanks so much.

This property is truly wonderful -- a single-floor house on a Lake Erie beach with a beautiful deck and a wonderful screened-in porch, in the beautiful Rye Beach neighborhood. The property manager was immediately responsive to every question we had, and very gracious. I would rent there again, but the prices have increased to a point that is out of my price range.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay and we were sorry we did not stay longer. Property was great. Owner has gone above and beyond in providing for most of guests need. The decor is cute. We were all comfortable. The views from the property are just like the pictures. Highly recommend.
4.8
Our group consisted of 6 adults and 7 children (ages 2-6) and the overall feedback was how great this location was for the kids. The kids had the option to play in the sand or the park playground while the parents sat on the back porch supervising and relaxing. We only left the property once (on a poor weather day) and took the kids to an arcade which was 10 mins away. There are two fridges which helped us stock up on groceries during our stay. There were plenty of kitchen supplies to get through breakfast and lunch before needing to run the dishwasher as well. We also really appreciated the host providing toilet paper, paper towels and a new dish sponge, something we had prepared for, but nonetheless felt was very thoughtful and generous. A few things we thought were helpful were bringing your own beach toys and cocktail shaker (if you need one for your evening nightcap). Overall, this was the first time we all felt like we could call this a mini-vacation vs taking a “trip” with our kids. Thanks for the memories!
4.8
We were able to unwind and truly relax during our stay at this cozy lakefront property with panoramic views of the water!
4.8
This was our second time staying in this house. Just as great as the first time! Don't hesitate to rent from them. We have stayed in their house a couple doors up and it was perfect also.
4.8
Plenty of beds for our family coming from multiple locations. Highly recommended house for up to 10 people.
4.8
The proximity to the lake is great. The wind was strong and the temperature was too cold to be outside very long. We enjoyed our time together and the great view. The park next door is also a huge plus. We will likely use it again.
4.8
It was a great quiet vacation
4.8
Great location...playground for little ones, great fishing hole (however didn't catch any but 2 little fish. Could use some TLC on inside and outside.. Overall we had a wonderful time, i.e. games, kid toys, floats, beautiful weather. Went to Cedar Point, Putin Bay, African Safari.

Ideally located - perfect set up for families, fisherman, kids, and grandparents. We loved this house and everything about our stay here. Grandparents stayed in the house with us and 3 kids. We spent 1 day on a walleye charter, checked out local parks, the drive through safari and put-in-bay.

We all enjoyed it. Lots of towels and blankets! Not as fresh as it appears in the listing online, but was good enough. Not sure about the price compared to other Lake Erie properties. When the wind was blowing the lake was fantastic! Right outside the door…
Grandson had fun in the park right outside and riding his bike and fishing on his own off the pier!
Nice gas fireplace and lots of chairs and comfy stuff.
Actually, we all loved it, but our special needs grandson had to use a nearby hotel because of the age of the property. He gets seizures if there is any hints of mold, but he is the rarity!! I did not smell anything at all.
Lots of games etc.. I would recommend this place

Great location...lakeside as advertised. Clean..plenty of space for us all. Day trips to Vermillion, Cleveland and Kelly's Island. We had fun hanging out watching the sun set with fire pit and tons of wildlife... Property manager was excellent too...as we had easy communications all along the way.
