About this house rental
Enjoy the stunning ocean views from this beautiful 3 Bedroom 4 Bathroom home. The property is located only 5 minutes from the entrance to the Olympic National Park which allows easy access to picturesque Hurricane Ridge. Additionally, it only takes 7 minutes to get to Port Angeles’ charming downtown & waterfront where you can find wonderful restaurants and boutique shops.
This architect designed NW Contemporary mid-century modern home is set perfectly into its landscape on a dead-end street with sweeping views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca! Beautifully landscaped property with a babbling waterfall feature as the focal point & a large deck to enjoy the ocean views! This home fits perfect for those looking for a weekend getaway or hosting a family vacation!
The master bedroom has a mattress firm fully-adjustable King bed mattress, a customized bathroom with separate walk in shower and separate tub and deck access with a view.
The upstairs guest room is decorated with an aviation theme and includes pictures of two airplanes I previously co-owned; a Mooney M20E which my partner landed wheels up and a Cessna 180J on floats, which I crashed at Moses Lake. No one was hurt in either case, thankfully. This room has a queen matress firm adjustable bed. There is a newly installed full bathroom in suite.
Both Upstairs bedrooms have ceiling mounted television sets.
The downstairs bedroom has a wall-mounted TV, two full-sized bunk beds and a desk and chair. All four bathrooms are equipped with bidet toilets.
Also, I am a commercial pilot and I love to fly into Port Angeles to escape the rain from Seattle. If you would be interested in getting a private flight tour around Port Angeles send me a message and we explore the possibility of adding that into your stay!
There is a $60 late fee for every 30 minutes past the 10 am checkout.

We all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well appointed home! Our daugher was married at Lake Crescent and the house and deck were the perfect setting for a small family reception. The view from the deck is wonderful & the location is convenient to both the park and downtown Port Angeles. The house was equipped with everything you might need & the little decorating touches everywhere were perfect. The owner was quick to respond to questions. I highly recommend a stay at the Crash Pad!

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was spacious, clean, and relaxing. The location was equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck. The owner responded to my questions via text message within minutes. We didn’t have any problems finding activities nearby to keep us busy. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My family ended our Alaska cruise by spending a few days in Port Angeles. Crash Pad was perfect ! I woke to a beautiful view and enjoyed coffee on the deck. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room to just relax. The location was great for our adventures. I would love to visit the area again and would enjoy staying at Crash Pad as well.

We all loved staying at this property. From the airplane decor to the daily visits from a deer, everything was magical. Close to coffee shops, groceries, and the ferry, the location was perfect. This stay helped us to make the most of our ONP visit.

Perfect spot for family to gather. No need to leave the property! Great view, kitchen, and games with basketball, pool, foos ball, darts, and more.

My mom lives just down the street from the Crash Pad. We needed extra bedrooms so it was perfect. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Kitchen and gathering space was roomy and you can't beat the view. There is everything you would ever need in the kitchen. We only wish that it would have been warm enough to enjoy the games outside. Had a little issue with the internet the first night but Dan was responsive every time we needed him. We look forward to renting again for the next family gathering.

Our stay at the crash pad was the perfect location for the Crab Festival, very close to town. The home is amazing including the propane fire pit and view from the deck. It accommodated our family of 6 very well. The two older kids loved the game room. Definitely would recommend staying here.

The Crashpad was the perfect spot for our visit to Olympic National Park. We were traveling with our 3 young adult children. The Crashpad had everything we needed. It was clean, spacious and had a lot of little extras that you usually don’t see. We enjoyed the outside as much as the inside with the pool table, fuse ball table, and lounge furniture as well as a portable fireplace. The view was beautiful of the Straight of Juan and in the other direction the Olympic Mountains. We had a buck and deer visit the residence regularly. Dan took extra care in making his guests feel welcomed. We’ll let you reserve it to discover for yourselves. Dan was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. He called us personally to let us know the house was ready ahead of schedule and asked us about our family. This was one of our favorite VRBOs we stayed at and we have stayed at many over the years. Thank you, Dan, for a wonderful experience at the Crashpad!

We booked this property to visit Olympic National Park. The Crash Pad is conveniently located to all of the major sites in this section of ONP - Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, etc. The house is in a quiet neighborhood at the end of the block and was perfect for our needs on that side of the park. Close to downtown Port Angeles for shopping, groceries, restaurants, etc. The view from the large balcony looking over to Canada was a welcome treat - make sure to bring your binoculars! It was large enough for my family of 4,tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Dan was always immediately available when we needed to reach him. I would highly recommend staying in this home for your ONP visit.

This home was everything I hoped for - and more. Every time I thought, "I wish I had..." I just looked around and found it. The house is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable, the location is amazing. We took our 2 adult daughters (ages 21 and 27) and everyone was happy. I'd book a stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything about the CrashPad was perfect in enabling my family to take advantage of Olympic National Park. The house was spacious and accommodating, well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Awesome little touches abound everywhere, for the delight and entertainment of all ages. The owner was very kind to offer some recommendations when we had questions about what was available in the area. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful home to host our reunion! The location, house, property and host were amazing. Dan was very friendly and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Plenty of brochures to plan out all our adventures that were with-in miles! Loved seeing the deer on the property! The Crash Pad was like home away from home and look forward to another stay here!
And the view....Wow!

We have a 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son. Everyone enjoyed the house. Our daughter liked having her own room and bathroom. Our son loved the bunk beds, pool table and games. My husband and I really enjoyed the deck and view. Very comfortable and well appointed house!

It was amazing. Kids and grandparents literally would have rather stayed in the house the entire time than see the national park, it was that nice. Excellent views, super clean, so much for kids to do.

What a cool house! A wonderful home base for our party of 5 to explore ONP and Port Angles! The whole house is in great condition and clearly beloved by the owner. Amazing views from the back deck and the multiple windows which allowed in a ton of natural light (but with blackout shades if you are looking for a dark room to sleep). Well equipped kitchen and fun pool table and pacman game downstairs for our teens. Owner was pleasant and easy to communicate with. We've stayed a lot of rental houses but this is one of my all time favorites. Highly recommend!

Everything are pretty good except the bunk bed are too soft and have some ants in the master room bath tub area, other than that it's really good. The owner are very responsible and even communicate with me right after I booked.

This property was great for a family or a small group of people. The CrashPad has a beautiful viwe from the windows and balcony. Entertainment was awesome with a pool table, table soccer, dart board, and a PacMan video game. Very relaxing.

I stayed here with some friends to explore the Olympic Peninsula. The home is very comfortable and clean. We were able to cook in the well-supplied kitchen and play board games in the evening. Amazing views!

We loved everything about staying at the crash pad. The two suites upstairs were perfect for us and my in-laws. Our kids loved the bunk room downstairs with the pac man game. The outdoor game room is so fun! And the basketball hoop provided hours of fun. The view from the decks is incredible. And the fire pit is so warm and cozy. Kitchen is well stocked. Love the indoor tree as well. The babbling brook that runs through the property is so peaceful. 10/5 stars! Would love to stay here again!

A lovely house with long-range views of the Strait. Very close to the Hurricane Ridge Park entrance. Dan Anderson is a super host. Extremely responsive. Even bought multiple kitchen items for our stay that I inquired about.

We loved the Crash Pad! It was just the right size for my husband, myself, and our two adult children. The kitchen was nice and big (and beautiful) with every pot, pan, and utensil that we needed for cooking - and we cooked a lot while there for 4 nights. The bed in the primary suite was very comfortable. My favorite part of the house was the big deck with a view and the gas fire. We sat there every evening enjoying the lights from the harbor and the stars. (Dan, we used up the one propane tank, and hooked up the other one - so glad there was a back up!).
The other thing that was great about the Crash Pad was its proximity to activities... half an hour to Crescent Lake for the very challenging hike up Mount Storm King... half an hour to the Dungeness Spit for a sunny afternoon of walking on the beach. 5 minute drive to the ferry terminal to take us across to Victoria BC for the day. We had a wonderful time.
Thank you Dan!

Lovely home with wonderful view down to the water. Nicely furnished. Large decks and good grill. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of information on places to go and see. Owner was very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay.

Fantastic Property
Wonderful property with every amenity we needed. Appreciated the binoculars for deck time (great view), and the teens spent a lot of time playing pool.
The only odd thing was that we were asked to by the owner to water plants and check their stock of laundry detergent. We also brought in a couple of packages that arrived. With those chores, it felt a little less like vacation and more like being at home. Regardless, we had an overall great experience and would recommend. Wonderful property for a group of 6.

A gem
This is a beautiful home. An architectural gem. We’ll equipped. A quiet neighborhood. And with truly spectacular views. The pictures do not do this place justice. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Perfect home base to explore Olympic NP
Had a great stay at Crash Pad. Location is great - less than half a mile from Hurricane Ridge park entrance. Plenty of room and amenities for our party of 5 adults. Fantastic views overlooking Port Angeles harbor from the deck. Perfect for relaxing by the fire pit at the end of the day. A family of deer were regular visitors. Host was easy to reach and helpful.

Nice View - Good property
Good rental overall. Quiet neighborhood. Great views. Good facilities - Well equipped. Couple of small issues: (a) There were many half used items in the kitchen (e.g. Half used ice-cream) - For hygiene reasons, it would be better to not have them all or replace them with fresh ones (b) There was too much stuff (pamplets, magazines, decorations etc) - Might be better to reduce some of that.

Gorgeous views, well equipped, comfortable home
This was one of the most well equipped properties I've even been to. The fridge was loaded with essentials like ketchup, mustard, salad dressings, etc. The cupboards had things like hot chocolate, PB, jam, mac and cheese, etc. (may not be there when you arrive but just know that some essentials might be). Also the kitchen appliances were well stocked with everything you need. Pots, pans, nice new cookie sheets, even a popcorn maker. We loved the French Press. And the bidets....so nice....in every bathroom, heated seats too. The decor is great. Cool aviation vibe. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table outside; the views from the deck and the fire table; the garden and pond out front are so pretty. Dan was very responsive and even sent pictures from the outdoor camera of a deer in the front of the house (unfortunately we didn't get lucky enough to see it ourselves). You can tell he takes pride in having what you need and keeps the space clean and well maintained. The location is great too, close to everything. The entrance to ONP just a few miles away. We went to Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent, and Sol Duc. Lake Crescent is beautiful and so unique. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend this property!
