About this apartment rental
Steps from the free gondola, the Village Bypass ski run and the supermarket, this beautiful condo is ideally located for those looking to ditch their car while visiting Telluride. Downtown Mountain Village and Downtown Telluride are only a quick, scenic, free gondola ride away.
The condo itself is a double corner unit, so there are no next-door neighbors (only above and below), allowing for windows on three sides of the condo to capture the setting. Even though the front entry is on the ground floor, the back of the condo hovers high above Prospect Creek and has a lovely view through the trees to the mountains -- morning coffee in the summer on the back balcony with the sounds of the rushing creek and rustling aspens can't be beat. This is one of the most privileged 2BR condos in Mountain Lodge because it does not directly face the street or the parking lot. The resort of Mountain Lodge has all of the amenities you might expect (restaurant, shuttle, pool, hot tub, workout room, hammocks, grills, etc.).
Christy Sports has a ski rental shop in the main lobby, so you can pick up your winter gear onsite. And you'll have ski-in-ski-out access to Double Cabin and Village Bypass ski runs (both easy "green" runs), just steps from your front door.

NO SMOKING AND NO PETS. We are allergic to dogs and don't want to suffer when we are in our home. We also rent to those who are allergic, so we appreciate your cooperation.
Noise considerations: We occasionally hear footsteps from the upstairs neighbor -- it doesn't bother us at all, but for someone looking for complete silence, it may be better to rent a stand-alone house. The front desk can intervene for unusual noise. Also, the second bedroom is adjacent to an elevator shaft which makes a slight hum when in operation. It is rarely used and we've never noticed it at night.
Parking: Mountain Lodge charges for parking (all valet, usually $35/day). Parking is tight! Please consult Mountain Lodge's website for rates and additional parking information.
Management: The resort manages most of Mountain Lodge's condos, but this one is privately managed - hence the VRBO listing. The front desk will handle your check-in and keys, the local property manager handles emergencies/repairs, and the host/owner is available for any other concerns. All of our contact information is available through VRBO upon booking and also in the instructions binder in the condo.
Early check-ins and late checkouts: These must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance. A nominal fee may apply. Cleaning crews have tight schedules that are difficult to alter.
The second bedroom has a SPLIT king, which can be configured into two twin beds or combined into one king bed. By default, it will be made as a king bed unless you specifically request two twins upon booking. Due to limited onsite storage, we cannot make last-minute bed reconfigurations.

This was our family’s (mom,dad, two preteens) first trip to Telluride and we loved our time there. I researched vacation rentals and neighborhoods extensively before booking this Mountain Lodge condo. We were very happy with the choice. The location felt private with gorgeous views but it was so close to the pool/hot tub and an easy walk to the gondola. We enjoyed getting take out and watching the sunset from the hammocks on site. One day we rented SUP boards from the rental place next to the market and had a great time exploring Trout Lake. The unit itself was nicely layed out, fine linens, well stocked and we loved having 2 bathrooms/2 bedrooms. Cory was easy to get ahold of and offered suggestions on bike trails, where to eat etc. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

I can’t say enough about this unit, the inside is well decorated/cozy and the beds were so comfortable. The fireplace between the main bedroom and living room was very nice. The rushing stream behind this condo is amazing, we enjoyed it from out on the patio and also had our windows cracked at night to hear it. The main office is right across from the building so easy access to valet and pool area. The view from the pool and hot tub is insane! The gondola access and marketplace is just a short walk and we used it constantly to get to Mountain Village and Telluride. You don’t need a car the entire time you’re here if that’s what you wanted. I contacted the owner of several times before our trip for recommendations, etc., and he was extremely helpful. I used many restaurant recommendations and enjoyed them! If I came to Telluride, I would 100% book this unit again! What a beautiful town!

The location is great for a Telluride winter. The ski access is close and easy. The amenities are comfortable. The gondola is close and an easy ride to town. The shuttle to the Village Market and gondola station is convenient. This is a must stay for Mountain Village.

Location was outstanding. Close to the main lodge building. Close to the jacuzzi. Pick up your skis on site and walk down a short path to the Double Cabin run and then ski down to the lift. Also, a short walk to the grocery store and gondola over to Mountain Village. A great place to stay for skiing!

Cozy and comfortable with high end finishes .Memory foam mattress on one bed was such a plus! Location was walkable to slopes, groceries, and the gondola. The owner was very responsive to all inquiries.

We had the best time staying here for the Blues and Brews Festival in Telluride. The gondola ride was a fast, easy and beautiful way to travel to town. At night, the stars were incredible on our gondola ride home. Pool and hot tub were awesome, as well. Close to everything - groceries, restaurants, etc. Loved it!!

While a unpredictable maintenance thing popped up - the property management team and mountain lodge reacted extremely quickly and took care of things and made sure we were okay. It’s not something to give a negative review about at all - it was unpredictable.

It was convenient to jump on the mountain in the morning, the shuttle to the gondola was very fast/easy (also a quick walk), and there was a great supermarket just above the lodge. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.
The shared living area was just the right size for three people and all of our ski gear, but it would have been tight for a fourth adult (plus ski gear).

We had a wonderful time at this property! I was traveling with my husband and a friend; everything was clean upon arrival. It is a short walk to the edge of the property where we skied in and out. We were very satisfied, and would definitely consider this unit again.

Overall this property was great! The owner was super responsive and even let us check in early which worked out wonderfully with our schedule! He was very honest about the short comings of the property which was much appreciated! It is a little small but Telluride is so beautiful we weren’t planning on being in it much anyways so it worked out great for our family!

The unit was plenty spacious, but the living room felt cramped because of big furniture. While there is a no shoes policy in the unit, which we followed, the floors felt dirty and in need of a good vacuum and cleaning. Furniture felt a bit dirty as well. The lock off bedroom was loud as mentioned in the property listing. You could hear the dinging and humming of the elevator pretty consistently. We had a great weekend, and would likely choose to stay at Mountain Lodge again but not in this unit.

The condo is located within a few minutes walk to the Gondola /Village Market. The deck overlooks a wooded area and a creek that gives you a very private and tranquil setting. Large bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen complete the condo. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book this place again.

Smaller than it looks in pictures. The dishwasher wasn’t to be used for some reason. The couch is worn and hard to get out of. There is no good parking available without paying $20.00 a night. This doesn’t make sense. People have to drive to get there. This was also not revealed. The host sent me a message to call if I had any questions, however they didn’t leave a viable number. (Xxx)xxx-xxxx doesn’t help. We asked to get in our room a little earlier than 4pm and we’re told this particular property wasn’t managed by the resort, so I was given another number to call. After I call the new number, I was told no, we would have to wait until the check in time. They had my information.However the resort did have the info on the rental and gave us keys. The keys wouldn’t work until 4pm.At 4pm we tried the keys only to discover they didn’t work. When I called the number the resort had given me to the property manager, they couldn’t find my reservation! I finally went back to the resort desk and they gave us new keys that finally opened up our condo. This was very frustrating.
