About this cabin rental
Ready for cooler summer temperatures? Look no further than our sweet cabin on Beech Mtn, where the elevation will beat the summer heat. (We also get more snow in the winter! And absolutely amazing fall foliage views!) This is the place for you! The cabin is well-suited for multiple generations of families & friend groups. You're just one mile from Ski Beech slopes, biking & hiking trails, playgrounds, & downtown Beech Mountain. There's a state-of-the-art steam shower, copper tub and jetted tub, a pool table & built-in bar, high-speed wi-fi (great for remote work!), & a basement playroom, complete with a Nintendo simulator, so you can play all the old-school games. Enjoy the large deck with fire table. The best part is the long-range views of mountains, which you can see from almost every room. Also, you're our guests, so we keep our check-out asks minimal. Take out the trash, strip the beds, and start the dishwasher, and you're out of there!
This beautiful cabin is easy to cook in, and easy to hang out in. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the tools you need to make a feast, the stargazer deck is perfect for a yoga mat or a quiet place to read, the main deck has ample seating and chairs and a gas fire table to keep it cozy. Love to grill? You'll find a gas grill on the main deck overlooking the breathtaking views. In the game room, you can enjoy a few rounds of pool or cozy up on the couch. Like to play? We have the pool table, basement rec room (complete with a 60 inch TV, Nintendo simulator with Nintendo and Super Nintendo controllers, and electric fireplace), and plenty of board games. After a long day hiking or on the slopes, you'll appreciate the copper soaking tub, the jetted tub, or even better: the large steam shower, where you can steam your cares (and aches!) away. Ready for a movie night? Curl up by the gas fireplace in front of a 65 inch HDTV with cable and Roku streaming options or cozy up in the main bedroom in front of the second gas fireplace and watch TV in bed. And don't forget: at nearly one mile up in elevation (4800 feet at the cabin!), you'll enjoy more snow than the folks below, cooler temps when you visit in the summer, and crisp night skies all year long.
If sleep is your priority, we get it! We have 3 King beds (and 4 Doubles, plus a Queen pull out), blackout curtains in all bedrooms, and plenty of comfy pillows and linens.
Beech Mountain is a magical place. You'll be close to all the amenities that Beech has to offer from this sweet cabin: hiking and biking trails, parks, Ski Beech (with tubing, skiing, and snowboarding options), and downtown Beech (with Fred's Mercantile and the snow sledding hill where they blow snow all winter). You're a short, 12-minute drive downhill to more amenities and fine dining in Banner Elk. You're also in a prime location to check out Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Linville Gorge, Hawksnest (with zip lining and snow tubing!), Sugar Mountain slopes, the new Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, and so much more in Boone and Blowing Rock. When you book with us, we provide you a website with an overview of tons and tons to do in the area. We're happy to help you plan a magical vacation! We love it up there and we love to share what we love to do.
The roads to the cabin are all paved! The upper driveway is very accessible, has ample flat parking (3-4 spots, easily), and several more on a slight slope. Beech Mountain has regular snow removal during winter weather but winter renters should be prepared for driving on snow. (Four wheel drive / all-wheel drive are necessary if you're visiting in the snowy season!)

The house was perfect for our family vacation!

The next best thing to owning your own cabin is renting this cabin from Alex and Alexandra.
The pictures do not do the inside justice. The views, even with low lying cloud cover, were spectacular. You’ll be blown away by sunrise over the mountains and with the telescope in the game room you’ll be star struck by the night sky.
The cabin was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable.
The cabin pictures are accurate, but when you checkin you’ll want to take note of the cool little touches that abound, such as the decorations on the pool table.
This host is highly recommended. They were timely and responsive in communications, honest in their descriptions, very clear on functionality of the features, and thoughtful in how the cabin was stocked.
This cabin has my highest recommendation if you want to enjoy the mountains, but feel at home.

Resting Beech Face was the perfect vacation house for our family. Not only was the central core (the living room, kitchen/dining area, and deck) a great place for gathering, but the house was designed to allow for privacy and quiet times as well. The view from the deck simply could not be better, and the location made it very easy to get anywhere on the mountain (and off) with minimum driving stress.

The view was great. We were very impressed with how it was so Clean !! Some of the bed pillows could use a refreshing clean smell. The green velvety ones had bed head smell. The kids had a great time with the Legos. We were in the master room that was under the pool table room...that was not really a good Idea...
We were gone most the time . Meals were easy to prepare had all the utensils . We saw a lot of deer even hand fed them apples...Amazing !! We loved our stay.

Three families with children, ages 2 years to 13, spent one amazing week in this wonderful home. Set way, way up on a hill, surrounded by trees, beautiful views, and peaceful nature, it was a secluded getaway. The driveway is gravel, and can be tricky to ascend even without snow. But that is the only negative thing I can say about our trip.
The owners had great communication from the very beginning, and their website for the property had intricate details for everything we needed to know about the house. There was also great information about attractions nearby that really helped informed how we spent our time on Beech Mountain.
The house itself has four bedrooms, but really and comfortably fit all 14 of us. The are extra places to sleep everywhere, and not once did we feel like we were in to of one another. The interior of the house is gorgeous and spacious, with a great wilderness theme that fits with the setting. There were plenty of dishes, silverware, and other necessities that, had we forgotten to bring something, we would be covered. The kids loved playing with the pool and ping pong tables, and the adults enjoyed chatting in the living room with the gas fireplace.
The location is amazing. The back porch gives incredible views down the mountain and across the valleys, and with the foliage in the trees you have complete privacy. There was beautiful fog in the mornings and clear stars at night. We even got to light a small fire in the fire pit next to the garage on the lower level of the house. Deer are your constant companions, strolling through the yard and across the roads at all hours of the day. We didn't see any bears, but did see paw prints on one of the trails!
I could go on and on about hiking Grandfather Mountain, getting caught in the tourist trap at Mystery Hill, experiencing the Wizard of Oz live theater, but this is supposed to be about the house. Of course, the location of the house allowed us access to all these amazing experiences, and the complete nature of the rental allowed us relaxation and a comfortable home base for all our mountain adventures.
This was an amazing trip, and we'll definitely be taking about it for years to come. Hopefully we'll get a chance to return and make even more memories. Thank you to the owners who allowed us to share their place, and have such an awesome vacation.

It was beyond our expectations. The only small issue was we enjoyed the bedroom windows open but there were spider webs between the screen and glass. That should be addressed.

Paradise
What an incredible home to have stayed while on Beach Mountain!! The entire stay was a pure blessing and our hosts were excellent!! The steam shower was really cool and enjoyed by everyone!! The view of the mountains from the deck is magnificent! We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the hiking trails on Beech. The pool table was used daily and we even constructed a tournament between family members. If we come back to Beech, we'll look for this property's availability first.

Beautiful home with excellent views
This property was great for hosting our extended family for a small reunion. The way the home is set up, it is perfect for two groups or families to stay without being too intrusive on each other. The kids loved the pool room upstairs and the ping pong table downstairs. We also appreciated the small touches like tea and condiments. And of course, the excellent views off the back deck, where we spent most of our time. We hope to come again soon!

Great Spring Break
The house was exactly as described, the owners thought of everything and were super friendly and easy to communicate with. The house was so close to Beech Mountain Ski, which was exactly what we were looking for. The pool table upstairs was fun family entertainment. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay
Everything was exactly as pictured and described. We had a wonderful day during our ski trip. The house was 3 to 4 minutes away from ski beech entrance so it was a perfect location. And the view was incredible! The owners were great to work with.

5 stars! We can’t wait to go back!!
Stayed a week in this beautiful Beech Mountain cabin and did not want to go back home. Absolutely stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Was blessed to get 5+ inches of fresh powder the last day we were there. Truly a winter wonderland. We had multiple families of all different ages stay with us in the cabin. And everyone LOVED it! Tons of room in each room, and main living room, and game room upstairs, and basement. Owners have even supplied multiple sleds for use on nearby hills. Steam shower is like a sauna and a MUST after skiing and sledding all day!! Only a couple minute drive to the slopes at Beech Mountain. And about 20 mins to slopes at Sugar Mountain. Adorable Mercantile store a couple mins away where we were able to get our groceries for the week. Owner/renter communication has been wonderful! Super kind and helpful before, during, and after reservations/rental. We are already talking about making this a yearly vacation!! Can’t recommend this cabin enough!

Perfect ski cabin!
This cabin is ideal for ski vacations to Beech Mountain or the surrounding mountains. A majestic view, wonderful amenities and game room, and very family friendly. A bit tough to find and the address is not well marked but once in, a great experience.
