About this house rental
Enjoy an ocean view with the convenience of being just 15 minutes away from the Kona airport, downtown Kona shopping, Costco, and a short drive to many beautiful beaches. At night, there is little light and noise pollution, which makes it the perfect place for stargazing while being surrounded by nature. Our cottage is situated in the Kona Coffee belt at 1700 ft elevation, and it is the perfect place for nature lovers. There is one master bedroom upstairs and two twin beds downstairs.
*Please be advised that an SUV vehicle with high clearance is recommended, as the road leading to the property is unpaved.*
The space
The cottage is surrounded by two acres of forested land, so you will hear birds chirping during the day and the sound of coqui frogs at night. There are gecko and wild chickens in the yard. If you are lucky, you may even see a Hawaiian hawk!

My family was here for a night. We found the property comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, as well as being close to major shops and airport. The host provided excellent directions to the property. Looking forward to my next stay here.

We live in Hilo and brought our parents who were visiting from the mainland over to Kona to see the sites and stayed the night. I found this place last minute and it worked out well and was a nice place to stay for the evening.

Lovely house situated on small farm. Owners are gracious and easy to communicate with.

Great view! It has everything in the kitchen and a washer and a dryer. It took us some time to find it as I missed the email sent by the host. You'd better have an SUV because of the road condition (only a short distance).

Midori was a wonderful host and we felt right at home. The house was very clean and the property was fantastic.

This home exceeded all our expectations. The location is so peaceful. The property has native plants, fruit trees and even a lava tube. I certainly hope to stay here again.

The property is hard to find. GPS does not work. Directions were good but need better landmarks. The beds need to be replaced. I would not stay there more than one night. Only one bathroom and that’s upstairs. The lanai was great. Needs more comfortable furniture on lanai. The home needs to be updated. Not for long term comfort. Affordable with a good view.

Absolutely stunning sunset views!
The property is gorgeous! And the sunset was a true gift. We booked this home for its proximity to the airport but we will be back for the sunset and the lovely porch. We ended up doing a photoshoot right when we arrived. Great kitchen compared to some other rentals and plenty of interior and yard space. Definitely our new go-to rental on Kona side. Directions were a bit confusing but included pictures which helped us make it without too much trouble. Just go slow.

It was close to town and activities but up in a cooler secluded area. The house was fully supplied with everything we needed, all you have to do is go shopping for your needs.

Away from the city
Coming to Hawaii for a little vacation…..look no further. This property will allow you to connect and blend in with the land. The night comes alive with sounds of animals and the stars come out. Truly a nice little gem in the hills.

The house was a little tricky to get to at first but Mindori gave great directions. We loved coming back each night to the coolness of the house. The Lenai is nicely shaded and the amenities were great. We made fresh lemonade from her lemon tree and ate fresh oranges from the tree. I would advise a light jacket as it is higher elevation and gets a little chilly. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay away from the busy streets of Kona, would stay here again.
