About this house rental

Just a minute walk to world famous Chesterman Beach, the Hacienda is bright, clean and private.

Whether you are stargazing in the outdoor bathtub after a day of surfing, or enjoying a beverage on our south facing deck, the Hacienda is the perfect place to relax, unwind and truly let the west coast invite you in.

Amenities include: fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, outdoor bath and shower (as well as an indoor shower), piano, guitar, wifi, satellite TV/standard cable, gas fireplace, bluetooth speaker, washing machine and dryer, beach towels, robes, two private decks and a private entrance with parking for one car ( please inquire if you need additional parking).

Fully enclosed bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed.
Open loft-style bedroom upstairs with a queen size bed.
Double foamy bed available for a child.

An open concept chalet style house with high ceilings, lots of natural light/windows and plants. The Hacienda is a bright, clean, well-stocked house with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable.

The Freeland family of 4 couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome at The Hacienda! We were all taken by the charm of this spacious cottage, minutes walk from probably the bestest beach in Tofino. Our cottage was clean, homely and humble providing everything we could need in our time spent there. The finer details were the ‘icing’ including the abundance of fresh towels, soaps, fine oils and spices, teas and coffee to name but a few… all these things add up to make the perfect vacation. We were incredibly lucky with the weather too. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the hot bath on the veranda but would have had we had the time! We would come again if we didn’t live so far away, thank you so very much 🙏

Our host Keane and her family were amazing, very proactive with communication and so helpful with information about Tofino and the surrounding area. The house was perfect in every way and just a minute walk to Chesterman Beach. Just a hidden gem!

This was our second time staying at the Hacienda and will definitely not be our last. Keane and family are incredible hosts. The property is just steps away from the beach. The space is warm and full of character. The outdoor tub is such a great experience. Looking forward to our next stay here!

Keane and Pat were amazing hosts. This property has easily become our top 3 favourites in VRBO history. This home has everything you could possibly want. Having only gone out on 2 occasions for food, this kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary utensils and basic condiments too. The family favourite was the outdoor tub and shower with hot water. This was incredibly welcoming for post surfing lessons in a cold ocean. We have yet to repeat a VRBO stay, but this one might be a must. Thank you Keane and Pat for making our stay that much more amazing thanks to your hospitality.

The house is awesome! Very clean and cozy and had everything we needed and more. Very private and location was fantastic with close and easy beach access to Chesterman beach. The beds are very comfortable and we slept great. The outside tub was really cool. My daughter ran a half marathon that weekend and really appreciated the hot bubbly soak afterward! We did lock ourselves out and our host was right there to let us in! I highly recommend the Hacienda and we'll definitely return!

The home is located just across from the beach. Full kitchen, perfect for a little family. We stayed there with our almost 3 year old and it was great - everything you could need. Lovely outdoor bathtub and shower, lots of seating space, games, books. Hosts are great and easy to communicate with.

We really enjoyed our one week stay at The Hacienda. Communication with Keane was great. The house is spacious, clean and neat. We felt very cozy and at home. Walking to the world class Chesterman Beach was easy. We had great weather and after watching the sunset on the beach we would make dinner in the kitchen, and then sit in front of the gas fire place.

This was the perfect getaway for our family (2 teens). Very clean and included everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom and living room (tv, wifi, games). One minute walk to the beach-great for daily walks. Quick drive into town. Owners were very responsive and easy going. I would book again if we decide to go back next year.

Loved our stay here! We were a couple with a friend and it was perfect for us. The space is bright, open and private. My husband and I really enjoyed the outdoor bathtub. The owners are very responsive if you need anything and the amazing beach is literally only 1 min away by foot. We highly recommend this place! Tanya & Doug

Had a great week at this cottage. Perfect location for beach walks, surfing, tidal pool exploration, walking distance to lattes, Roar restaurant, easy access by car & shuttle to the town of Tofino. Everything in the cottage worked; clean comfortable furnishings, the kitchen is well supplied, the full size laundry pair was appreciated & the piano is in tune. My husband and I found the mattress in the main floor bedroom to be on the soft side, but that is a matter of opinion & it didn’t get in the way of a good night’s sleep. We will definitely consider staying there again on our next trip to Tofino.

The Hacienda was a great place to stay. Clean, well maintained, friendly hosts and an excellent location. Minutes from a large surfing beach. A free shuttle into town stops a short distance from the property. We Stayed with two teenagers and we had plenty of room. One slept on the futon in the living room, that was ok for our short stay. The kitchen had enough appliances/kitchen gear to cook meals easily, which is important for a family with dietary issues. It is slightly rustic, but well taken care of. I would recommend this property and would book it again. Next time we would rent wet suits and surf boards for a longer stretch of time, we didn’t realize it would be so much fun and so easy to access the beach.

Reviewing properties online for people you don’t know is a highly subjective, inherently foolish exercise. That being said, this place is perfect for my family, and we’ll come back next year. The location is primo. The vibes are “old school beach” and very mellow. The gardens are lovingly cared for. The owners live right next door, which we found helpful on several occasions. The piano is in tune. The outdoor tub and shower are the very definition of authentic beach living. Don’t show up expecting the Best Western—that’s a few clicks down the road and they’d be happy to have you.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook at home or even to cook on the beach. Just make a fire and set that cast iron pan on it! We made crabs and they had crab crackers and picks even! The beach access is across the road. It's a good 2 KM walk to the closest convenient store and coffee place- The Tofitian. The daily sunsets and beach walks are going to be missed.

The location was absolutely perfect! Steps from beautiful Chesterman beach and minutes from downtown Tofino. The property was extremely clean and very well equipped with much more than the minimum...big soft bath robes, lots of towels, coffee, filters, new appliances and wonderful owners! We hope to come back someday!
