Your host's great grandfather was a famous Lubec boatsman, Captain Cook. The host has traveled to and from Lubec for +50 years and has relatives in the area. Her mother spent many summers working at the Peacock canary. The memories are deep and rich of wonderful times spent in Lubec. Don't miss a lobster roll at The Dragonfly, homemade chocolate at Monica's and quench your thirst at Lubec Brewing Company. A trip to the area is not complete without a stop at Cobscook Shores and a walk through downtown Eastport, don't forget to buy some of Raye's Mustard!

We love Lubec and this was the perfect spot to relax after exploring the area!

Charming and cozy house, comfortable bed, beautiful backyard, and lots of room helped make our stay perfect. Great location. Close to town and hiking. We’re already booked for next summer. What does that say. Only one suggestion. Room darkening shades in the downstairs bedroom would really help.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. Easy check in, communication and tips. Really close to amazing hikes and an easy drive to fishing! Beautiful sunsets on the back deck. Everything we needed for a great week in Lubec!

Very comfortable clean home with plenty of space for 4 adults to spread out and relax. Has all the required amenities. Great location close to town, Campobello, and for exploration of the numerous nooks and crannies of this part of Down East Maine. Hope to go back!

This is a lovely property with wonderful westerly water views. Very well appointed and equipped. Convenient to Lubec and Campobello as well as local attractions such as Quoddy Head light and local park trails. Would be great for a family with separate, comfortable seating areas. Plenty of parking and a large lot.

This is a beautiful property with everything that a family would need. We had lots of fun playing the assortment of games and it was great that each child had their own room to relax in. The spaces are perfect and with a window overlooking the water, even doing dishes was enjoyable.

Harry was an excellent host, very communicative and accommodating and gave great suggestions for places to visit around the area. The place was spotless, beds were comfortable and the house was in a great location. The house is perfect for a family and we will definitely stay there again.

Really nice house with a view of a beautiful sunset at night. Clean, quiet, and comfortable with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Harry was always available when we needed him. Bring food cause there aren't many restaurants or supermarkets nearby.

Enjoy the beautiful Lubec sunsets from the deck, TV room, sitting area...take your pick. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The entire home was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal if you want to go into town, take a short drive to Quoddy lighthouse, or visit any of the nearby hiking trails. If you have a larger vehicle the driveway is easy to navigate and parking is not an issue. Fair warning: this home is close to Monica's Chocolate too...so if you have a sweet tooth, enjoy great chocolates, and have no self-control you will go home with a lot of goodies!

I wish I could give Harry and Leah's house one star, so it could stay the best-kept secret in Maine and be always available for our family. This is a simple but wonderful home, you will find everything you need and then some, because the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into providing their guests with a comfortable stay. Harry will be in touch and will answer questions promptly. Even though the house sits on the main road, there is very little traffic, which afforded us a truly restful stay. The backyard is huge, there is a basketball hoop so don't forget to bring a ball. We spent hours on the deck, basking in the view that never grew old - in the evening it becomes the perfect spot to look at the incredible number of stars above. The weather was delightfully crisp, and we were amazed by the spooky fog that could roll in especially in the early afternoon - it was lovely even though it hid the sun. We hiked and saw some wonderfully rugged coast (around the lighthouse and the Boot Head trails), we ate a lot of delicious fish, ice cream, and we splurged at Monica's Chocolates right across the street. At the end we all wished we had booked a much longer stay... This house and Lubec are the perfect place if you want a quiet vacation away from crowds - we can't wait to be back!

Comfortable home with amenities to create a home away from home experience. We enjoyed our stay in Lubec, ME *The most easternmost municipality in the contiguous US*. The area has a rich and interesting history! Additionally, the ability to see some of the Canadian islands of New Brunswick added an extra special memory. I recommend this home for your stay in Downeast ME. Thank You Harry!

An incredible experience awaits!
My wife and I are seasoned travelers and we try give honest reviews of our rentals. This one is incredible! Nothing negative at all about it. It is in a beautiful location, is impeccably furnished, comfortable, and the owner/host thought of everything--absolutely everything! One example of his concern for guests is a request we made for an infant bed for our visiting granddaughter, husband, and baby. The sun did not set on that day before he furnished a new pack and play which was better than adequate. The home has every comfort and great views of the ocean bay from the kitchen, two sitting rooms, and the deck. We had several shore dinners on the deck--lobsters from Little River Lobster Co./Cutler or Becky's Lobster Sales in Pembroke; steamer clams from HD Seafood in Lubec. Choose this rental for an incredible stay in the real Maine.

First we fell in love with the property and then with Lubec and the surrounding area. This property has everything you need to be comfortable and really makes you feel at home.
