The deck is amazing, all appliances are so nice, tons of space, comfortable furniture, fun amenities like the games and pool table, and we loved the projector. Really nice grill as well.

Some of the supplies didn't last for our whole stay and the kitchen equipment wasn't satisfying, it was enough, but there wasn't any extra.
Overall everything was good, we would definitely re-book.

Upon arrival we noticed the home is in need of some repairs ( the front sidewalk is a major safety concern) and a fresh coat of paint. We also noticed that the home was not very clean, the bedding in two of the bedrooms were noticeably dirty (which we washed before use), a few of the beds were old and should probably be replaced and the 1 minute walk to the lake is a walk to a river behind the home that feeds into the lake ( if there was another trail or path we didn’t see it) and we were not able to use the projector in the game room area downstairs.
Even with all of the above cons, our family still had an amazing trip. There was plenty of room for everyone (10 adults and 3 kids ) and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We loved that the basement had a door that we could keep closed for the little ones just starting to walk, we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, the area was peaceful, the kitchen had most of what you would need for cooking for the family, basic toiletries were provided in each of the bathrooms and the woods that surround the back of the home was nice.

We all had a very good time. Plenty of room. Kitchen needed a little bit more storage and countertop space.

When we arrived, the code to the door was incorrect... so we had to call, wait on hold for over 6 minutes and get it reset 3 different times before we got a new code. It was VERY cold and we have an infant with us. So, while not a deal breaker, it wasn't a fun way to start our stay.
The place is sufficient and appears nice from first glances - but after we settle in, we notice it's quite dirty and in need of TONS of repair.
The air filters are BLACK and sunken in... our daughter struggled to breathe the entire weekend and our infant had severe skin reactions. We found both live and dead cockroaches. We found several belongings from previous guests: belts, toys, greeting cards, brushes... not to mention the dirt, dust and hair under the furniture and in between cushions. There are several cracks in the walls, holes in the walls, patches on walls not painted... The floors are extremely creaky - which doesn't bode well for sleeping children. The walls are paper thin and sound travels right through them... to also include the floor upstairs - you can hear noise and voices clear as day from the main level coming through the floor. The windows are drafty and cold air comes right in... it was very hard to get warm.
The walkway leading up to the home on the front is broken and there is no way anyone who isn't in good health could ever get up there.
The property had adequate kitchenware - but because we found the cockroaches and mouse droppings, we didn't want to use anything.

The house was beautiful and perfect for our christmas family gathering. The kitchen is a little small to cook for 12 but the big main room where everyone can spend time is very nice for big family gatherings! Overall a lovely place to spend Christmas.

This property was a great price for a Fall getaway with lovely leaf peeping and lounging. While it could use a bit of attention to deep cleaning, general repairs and overall presentation, the linens and surfaces were clean, one of the more important factors that our group considers when selecting a weekend place. Caution--there is a 3-night minimum so not great for a Friday to Sunday getaway. Would go back if there were improvements as it wasn't a horrible experience.

The Lazy Lodge was a great spot for our fall family weekend. We have 3 couples + 1 single & enjoyed gathering together but also we had plenty of room to have our own space. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire ring under the numerous stars.

Perfect house for hosting big parties! We had comfortable beds, access to many bathrooms, and quality temperature control. We didn’t use the downstairs much because we couldn’t connect to the TV, but the main floor sufficed.

What a gem of a rental! This place was roomy enough for my whole family to spread out and have fun hanging out! We spent the evenings fishing from the docks, a 5min walk, day at the lake, 30 min to Pleasants Landing where we had some fun in the sun. Great people there, relaxed and not crowded, and they offer a 50% off military discount! Truely had a great stay and would reccommend to any traveling group.

Enjoyed this house for a great family get together! Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. Beds weren't super comfortable but it was okay. Not everything was supplied but a store/gas station wasn't too far for supplies that were needed. Loved having a grill and such fun things to do in the basement. Nice and quiet neighborhood!

The location is pretty nice, not too far from the lake. The house was very clean and the pictures were accurate. Some points were taken off for me because we had issues getting in the house upon arrival because the keypad code was not working, signal was very week at the house even though the house was not very secluded and when we were trying to watch movies on the tv there was a parental lock code on the tv that no one knew about, even when I called the 24/7 operator. Other than those issues our visit was pleasant.

We had a family get together at this home and it was a great spot for us to hang out and catch up. The kitchen allowed us to cook all of our meals. The ping pong/pool table and corn hole set were a nice way to stay entertained. There was dish TV that allowed us to watch the sports games over the weekend. The house has lots of space for a large group and it was extremely comfortable. There were a few small quirks but fortunately they didn’t detract from our trip and time spent there. There were only 8 forks with the silverware. Things like dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels were not enough for our 5 day stay. We didn’t mind supplementing those things though and fortunately there is a Food Lion only 10 minutes away. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed staying here. It was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable, and we enjoyed the game tables. There were a few issues. Ants appeared in the master bathroom and the main room ceiling lights began to drip when it rained. Although there were many overhead lights, generally, all lamp light bulbs were too dim. We were a group of 13, so we needed more eating utensils (only 9 forks), and wished there was some Tupperware. We went to Dollar Tree and bought plastic utensils, Tupperware, and a can opener to replace the one that fell apart the first time we tried to use it. The house needed more storage space for food in the kitchen, a recycling bin and an additional outdoor trash bin. We understood the WiFi was weak, but were disappointed that it was too weak to even get through one movie. We tried to communicate with the owner but our emails sent through the vrbo site went unanswered and vacasa told us there was no way to directly contact the owner. We would stay here again but would expect issues to be resolved.

We had a fabulous stay at Lazy Lodge for my sister’s Bachelorette Weekend! There was plenty of space, everything was clean and neat, and we had everything we needed for a wonderful celebration!

The 6 bedroom cabin was comfortable, spacious, and well designed. The surrounding area was quiet and scenic and a perfect place to relax. The only drawback was the very weak phone reception and spotty wi-fi; otherwise, the place would have been perfect.

Gets big stuff right, misses some details
The big things -- the house and the overall property -- were very nice. We loved the ping pong table! But we had some challenges. I think with some small changes on details, the house would be perfect.
- When we arrived we had to call for multiple codes to unlock the door.
- The WiFi was weak, then cut out midway through the week
- We had to reset circuit breakers two different times for two different reasons
- It was very cold on the ground floor
- The kitchen gear was limited (couldn't find a cutting board) and in bad shape. Would be nice to have more and better stuff since there aren't many dining options in the area
- The grates on the grill don't appear to be the right ones for that model
- An alarm went off on the septic tank (though the guy who came out to look at it was prompt and helpful)
- There was a remote for the cable box, but no TV remote and no buttons we could find on the TV itself, so we couldn't easily change settings or inputs, or turn it off.

Family gathering after grandma's funeral
We wanted to spend sometime with our family to remember our beloved grandmother who just passed away.
The house was the perfect, quiet, spacious, and very comfortable and clean.
Thank you.

Great time in Virginia
The area was beautiful and there were several options for things to do with children as well as adults. We had a wonderful time using the game tables in the house. The bathrooms were well stocked and the house was immaculate. All the bedrooms allowed everyone their privacy. My whole family enjoyed our time together and would be willing to stay here again.

Awesome
We had a blast. The kiddos were able to go down and play by the creek. The cabin was gorgeous, we felt like we were at home. Super comfortable.

Great retreat
The house itself was great. Spacious, close to the State Park, and well maintained.
