This little property was great! We had a blast either going into Marco Island (which was just minutes down the road) or staying around and using the kayaks. We went to Doreen’s Cup of Joe, The Dockside Bistro and Sweet Annie’s. We will definitely use this rental again when we come back down

This little bungalow on the water is amazing! Quiet little nook on the island that's a 5 min drive to downtown Marco Island and also walking distance to excellent beachside restaurants on the Isle. LOVED our stay, any issues we ran into were immediately dealt with and didn't cause even a blip in our stay. HIGHLY recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. Great location, close to all the places we love.

The best part of the stay was communication with the host. The Cox’s made everything super easy. Cozy, clean and centrally located. A short walk to the Capri Fish House for lunch was nearly a daily treat. Island Gypsy was just across the bay and a wonderful happy hour hang. Looking forward to my return in 2025!!!

We loved having this as our home base for adventures around Naples and Marco Island. We loved to kayak or walk through the super cute neighborhood which we much preferred to Marco - just houses and a couple of restaurants with friendly people walking in the mornings. Otherwise, we were off on adventures throughout the day. The accommodations are in a simple tri-plex but it has everything you need to be comfortable after a busy day out!

Property was very clean on arrival. It was perfect for a few days. We didn’t use the outside space due to weather but if the weather was nice we would of definitely used it, as it looked lovely in the evenings.The only negative thing we would say is you can hear the main road in the master bedroom and we would of like an iron and ironing board.

We totally enjoyed staying on the property for the following reasons: the views, location, and cleanliness. Our disappointment lies with the discrepancies of the pictures and amenities they stated were offered. I was looking most forward in taking my dog out on the kayak, the description stated there were two, however one was unusable it leaked and needed help getting it out of the water. If you look at the pictures you can clearly see the kayak had me repaired multiple times! Secondly, one picture has a propane grill, however when we got there it was charcoal and needed to go back out and get some. Our opinion is the outside offerings need a little attention, but other than that we enjoyed our stay!

It was super nice.
The place has a great space for family.
Great restaurants near the area.
Amazing!

Fun little cottage by the water! Close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. This rental has everything you would ever need for a pleasant stay. Overall, this has been an amazing trip!
4.7
Small, comfortable cottage. Convenient location- close to Marco Island, Naples, and The Everglades. 4 restaurants within a short walk. Kayaks available on the property with water access. Hosts very responsive. Would recommend if you are looking for a down-to-earth place that is reasonably priced and in a great location.

Absolutely loved it here. Perfect location. High tide is perfect for the dock with a boat. Marina right there for fuel. Restaurant near by is good. Everything is close.

Second multi-month stay for us. A taste of Old Florida. Location is quieter than Marco Island but easy access to all the bigger Island has to offer. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Awesome Host - very responsive. Right on Tarpon Bay. Kayak’s provided were a real plus. Easy paddle right to the mangroves. If you’re active, love the water and want to know what Marco Island used to be like before the massive development, Amber and Todd’s condo is ideal!
We will definitely be back!

We were so thankful the Cox family were able to reopen their property for us to stay at after hurricane Ian. The amenities were very clean, kitchen supplies were well stocked, and Amber was very kind and responsive to texts during our stay.
We loved sitting out on the dock (spied a few dolphins the first night!) Taking out the double kayak on the canal, and walking the small beach across the road during low tide to find star fish, hermit crabs, and some sort of ray! We were grateful there were comfy beach chairs and an umbrella to take with us to Tigertail beach over on Marco. The home was perfectly situated for a quick morning trip over to the Everglades a couple mornings.
The space was plenty big for my husband and I and we would love to come back with our 3 kids in the future.

Pros:
*location is quiet and close to everything by car;
*Close to Walmart, gas, Publix and restaurants;
*Close access to Collier County Boat Ramp;
*Close to public beaches by car;
*Dock on property for boat (be mindful of the tides);
*Gas grill on covered front porch;
*Comfy clean beds (master bedroom had a king, 2nd bedroom had a queen and twin bunk beds);
*Hot water never ran out;
*Cozy accommodations with nice island decorum;
*Private driveway and parking;
*Responsive owners;
*Two kayaks (a clear boat ramp area would make it easier to use them);
*Dog friendly;
*Nice patio area for meals and drinks;
*Large Smart TV;
*Laundry on premises;
*Possible to fish from dock.
CONS:
*Small ants but we sprayed a little ant spray and they went away;
*No bathrooms in bedrooms but two bathrooms on property;
*Closing front door and high winds causes a living room window to rattle (owner has it on to do list);
*Occasional loud horn from fire station across the street;
*If you are boating from there mind the tides as water levels can get VERY LOW;
*Clearing boat ramp of vegetation and paving it would be a huge plus.
Recommendations: must see sunset from the beach.
Overall we would go back without hesitation.

We loved the peacefulness of seeing the sunrise over the water from the wall of windows inside, and watching the sunset across the street, sitting at the restaurant with our feet in the sand. The house was everything we needed; comfy beds, couch, table and chairs. We take it as a fun challenge to adapt to a different kitchen than our own home by washing our dishes by hand(or just pick up paper goods) and cooking there instead of eating out, which is more expensive on the island. The AC units worked well and kept the rooms cool during the very humid and hot summer days! We saw many types of wildlife such as birds, fish, manatee, and a 3 foot shy iguana! We traveled all around SW FL to take kayak shelling tours, jet skiing out of Marco Island, enjoying the Naples beach, and college visit to Ave Maria University. Overall, this beats a resort any day for our likes!
4.7
Great location, with restaurants, boat rental and near by activities. We had everything thing we needed supplied. We enjoyed grilling out and sitting on the patio space by the water and watching the dolphins.

Great boating access.
So close to beaches. The owner was super helpful and beyond responsive. We parked our 23 foot boat there no problem. Tide is tricky so I suggest bungie dock cords like I have and no worries.

First, the host is terrific; she responded immediately to every contact and was very helpful.
The photos in the listing are accurate, but not fully informative. As an example , while the master bedroom is good sized, the second bedroom lacks a real window. In this apartment, what was once a porch is now the living/dining room and so the only window for the second bedroom opens to what is now the living room (shown in photo of the TV). The kitchen is tiny and hard to work in, but not an issue for us as we ate out all the time. The bathrooms are very old, small, and worn. Seating at the dining table is tight. The bathrooms are in bad locations; one has to walk through the kitchen and/or living room to get to either from a bedroom. I disagree with a previous review that said this place is great for two couples.
The place is cooled by two room air conditioners which do the job, but had to be on constantly during our warm weather stay and they are relatively noisy. We couldn’t ever open the blinds lest we overtax the A/Cs.
The photo of the dock space for a boat is misleading. Missing from the photo are two JetSkis and their cradles, which take up more than half the width of the spot; it was impossible to secure my 8.4 foot wide boat in a way which sufficiently allowed for the tide. Amber was very helpful in dealing with this problem.
At a lower price, this place would be fine. The location is good, with restaurants just a short walk, but be aware that there are no stores on the Isles of Capri; you need to drive over to Marco Island for anything other than a restaurant meal. The restaurants on Marco are better.
The price charged is a reflection of an overheated real estate market in Florida, not of intrinsic value. The host has done a pretty good job sprucing up a small place; the living room sectional is comfortable and in good shape. The TV, while large and smart, has no cable service, so forget about getting any station you’ve ever heard of. Prepare to use your own subscriptions.
Some of my negativity may stem from a comparison of this place to others we have rented either last year or earlier this season; prices have risen to unreasonable levels; I don’t blame the owner for wanting to take advantage of market prices. This property was recently bought for the value of its lot only; it is a likely candidate to be demolished and replaced by a much larger home. Go now and experience what Florida was like in 1955.

Paradise the Old Florida Way
Excellent location for what we were seeking.
Unhurried and great water access. Very laid back like it used to be before over development.
Nice accommodations with basic necessities. Good value and off the beaten path just enough.
Convenient access to Marco Island and Naples.
Old Florida charm.
Owners were great to work with. We’ll be back!

seaside cottage
As 2 couples and a dog, we found this cute seaside cottage to be small, but perfectly workable. A new living room L-shaped sofa arrived during our stay & allowed all of us to comfortably enjoy TV at night. The location was spectacular - on the water, with kayak launch access to both sides of Isles of Capri. The house & neighborhood was quiet, even with restaurants & a marina within walking distance. We used this cottage as a month-long home base to explore Marco, Naples, Big Cypress, Fackahatchee, the Everglades, & more. We had so much fun hiking, biking, kayaking, playing pickelball, swimming, and dining out.

Excellent Isle of Capri Rental
Excellent location for Marco Island and not too far for Naples with great shopping and restaurants. Capri Fish House was across the street and great food and drinks with beautiful views of the water! Apt had everything needed for a relaxing stay!

Somewhat shared place but would stay again
I mention "somewhat shared place" bc the unit shown in the pics is actually 1 of 3 split into 3 separate units. Point being is, there are 2 other units being rented with people in them. This had little impact on us as one of the other full time renters of the other unit came out just1 time and was very nice, but this was just simply not illustrated in the rental posting or pictures and would've been nice to have that expectation. Again, we essentially had the dock/water area etc to ourselves but when there are others there, you just never know what the sharing situation needs to be, privacy is somewhat limited, etc. THAT said, as mentioned we'd stay again. Unbelievable view from the backyard, great area to fish off of the dock, we brought our dog and there is a nice & pretty big grassy area for pets/kids to play in, etc. Surrounding area is small but nice, quaint and quiet, a few good restaurant options, no grocery stores or convenience stores in the immediate area but approx 10min away so a short drive. About a 10 min drive also to Marco Island and the beach which was nice. Place is a little tight/small, no dishwasher, but wasnt a huge deal to us as we didnt come down to spend too much time inside anyhow. Kids loved it, we enjoyed our stay.

Our famiky of 5, 3 teens, loved our stay! The property had everything we needed, beds fir everyone and 2 bathrooms with showers. We saw dolphins playing in the bay from the dock, walked across the street to eat, and it was a quick drive to Marco Island beaches. Highly recommend!

Great Location for Relaxing Trip!
Rented this house for Spring Break...Our kids enjoyed the kayaks, swinging in the hammock, and looking for crabs. House was very clean and as advertised. Great location between Marco Island and Naples. Enjoyed walking around the island and dining at Capri Fish House. Seamless rental process, too! We would stay here again if traveling to this area.

Old school Florida at its best. Small, quaint space, perfect for 4 or 5. Took 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Spent 90% of our time outside the space, and it was beautiful. On site laundry and beach chairs were perfect. Caught tons of snook and trout off the dock. Saw 150lbs tarpon on last night. 200 yards for two awesome restaurants and a 10 minute drive to the beach. Only criticism is the kitchen. We like to cook most of our meals on vacation to save money, but the size of the kitchen made it a reall challenge. Would 100% stay again. Owner was prompt with communication.

Nice Place for a family or couple
The place had many nice extras like kayaks and outdoor grill. The little mini beach is very nice if just want toes in the sand and a place for kids to play. It is conveniently located for activities on Marco Island. They are stocked with playing cards and dice games as well. Florida Vacation Adventures dolphin watch tour was great.
