Location was perfect

The location was absolutely perfect. A literal stones throw from the beach which was beautiful white sand. Despite being one house back from the main road the house was very quiet. You could easily fit 3 cars in front of the property although we didn’t have a car for the trip. The front porch was really cute with seating & a sun canopy. The cottage supplies lots of fluffy beach towels for your use. Unfortunately for us we arrived just as the hurricane storm came in so we ended up being house bound for most of the trip (which was comfy and had Netflix thankfully!!) so unfortunately we didn’t even get to swim in the sea or get to sample any of the fabulous boardwalk restaurants as they were all closed by the next afternoon. Mother Nature was a definitely bit of a disappointment! We did manage a quick dolphin trip on the first morning and a great pizza at DeLosa’s pizza. Best garlic balls ever :-) In terms of local grocery shops there’s a small 7Eleven close by but it doesn’t sell much fresh food and you need a car for other supermarkets (although the trolley does pass on the main road). The beds were very comfy. One bedroom downstairs and a double with bunk beds on the top floor. The living room is really big with a bathroom off it. There’s a tiny nook off the sitting room - not a bedroom as such - that has a small sofa bed (I think) that my girls liked to sit in to read. The kitchen is actually bigger than it looks on the photos.
The property notes could definitely be better. Eg. No mention about supermarkets, the trolley - what it was and where to get it (we aren’t from the US so maybe obvious to others), times for garbage pick up, that there’s a free taxi service for the area (that you pay with tips- would have helped so much to know that earlier), where the fuse box was (electricity went on and off during the storm and also the drier didn’t work at all). The property is run by an agency - they told me to check the fuse box (as the drier wasn’t working) but had no idea where it was. Also the downstairs shower had zero running water when we arrived - the agency asked me to remove shower head to check it (which I didn’t want to do as I felt it was a plumbing issue & didn’t want to get stuck if I couldn’t get it back on!) and then later offered to send someone out but at that point the storm was full speed so we declined asking someone to brave the weather and put themselves at risk to fix it.
The kitchen was well equipped but I think the general pots / pans / cooking implements etc could use a refresh /upgrade!

The location was wonderful, the beach equipment was quite handy, easy to find and access. The second floor living room had lots of space but, the kitchen and eating area for three adults and two kids was quite tight.
The third floor bunk beds were broken

So close to the beach. Walk out our door and steps away from boardwalk to beach. Absolutely beautiful place with 3 floors. 1st floor BR nice since I don’t do stairs was a plus for me.
Couldn’t figure out the keyless entry. Did I mention I’m old 🙈

A beautiful, updated 1930's 3-story cottage with great proximity to the beach/ocean. I especially liked the furnishings and décor.
Only seating for four at the dining table on the first floor. We needed a working vacuum cleaner to properly clean up after ourselves.
