Oven smelled like propane. Informed property manager but did not get a response. Cabin could use some labeling for light switches, instructions on where washing machine is, bedside lamps, and how to use TV. Otherwise cabin is nice.

Nice older cabin, clean.
I wouldn’t use the fire pit it to close to the tree.
Overall it was a good stay.

Nice quiet cabin. We had a pleasant couple of days.

This place is conveniently located to get to Bear Valley for skiing (about 20-30 minutes away) and to the Luberoom to eat. This place served our needs but here are a few things to keep in mind. The bathroom has no vent and the shower is unusual with part shower curtain part sliding door, be sure to keep the curtain inside the shower frame or else the floor will get drenched. This may explain the initial mildew smell in the bathroom. There was also no blow dryer despite having that listed in the amenities. The vent over the stove also does not work. This area requires you to take away your trash on check out in Avery (keep in mind they are closed on Wed/Thurs) which resulted in having to drive our garbage home with us.

The location was great, easy to find and get to. The property size was nice and kids had fun playing right in the yard, we felt safe from cars. Very quiet neighborhood.
Loved the mud room, we were in the snow so it made organizing snow gear so easy. The size of the cabin was decent, huge beautiful bathroom and easy to maintain a good temperature with the space heater (we only used one of the two) and temp regulated fire place. There were cards and games and the kitchen was stocked with decent to good items to use. Plenty of pillows and blankets and it was clean.
There were a few cons. There wasn’t enough comfortable seatings. The loveseat holds 2 and the rocker holds one, we’re a family of 4 (twins) so the kids fought over seats. There were plenty of extra chairs, but that’s not cozy. Thankfully there were plenty of blankets and pillows to make a comfortable spot on the floor. The bed was hard for my liking but my children and husband were comfortable. The biggest concern we had was the smell of propane in the cabin. When we would go out for the day, shutting everything off and returning hours later it was a bit overwhelming. We live in a propane fueled home and know that’s not normal. Easy fix and hopefully next people don’t have that complaint.
Otherwise it was a fabulous experience and we will be back!

The person who booked my stay got the dates wrong. They didn’t call me to confirm the booking dates. the only person that helped us was the contact at the site when we arrived. She went above and beyond to get the place cleaned. I Believe her name was April

Clean. Cozy. Nice area. Walking distance to a great little store. But some issues:
The road to get up to the driveway was covered with ice and snow. The person who plows it is injured, so it’s not getting plowed and therefore, dangerous. This was NEVER MENTIONED. Like others before us (we found out later),we got stuck.
You can only use one space heater, but there’s 2 bedrooms. If you use 2, you blow a fuse. So, one bedroom will be COLD. Also, not mentioned and a big problem if you have kids with you.
There’s a floodlight that is bright and blinding that shines into the bunk bed room and directly on the fire pit area at night. It won’t shut off; found out this is broken and in need of repair.
Outside of these issues, the place was nice.

Quiet, beautiful, well-equipped, even though AC would have been nice.

Almost perfect
When we initially entered the cabin, the first thing we noticed was the dirty and stained carpet. It was quite off-putting and we felt very uncomfortable, thinking that it was dirty. After settling in a bit, we discovered that the cabin was indeed quite clean. It was cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We recommend cleaning the carpet!

Smell of unit was unbearable!
From the moment we arrived until departure the rental smelled like a rancid rotting animal. Most likely a dead animal in the walls. Cabin should not have been rented in that condition. Support staff tried to help but with no luck. We left a day early because we couldn’t stand sleeping there for another night. On top of that, evolve customer service is very poor and difficult to contact.

Very sweet and lovely place to stay
My husband, two girls, and I stayed for 2 nights here so that we could ski at Bear Valley. This location is very convenient. The place is warm and clean. It isn't large, but it was big enough for our family. We had everything that we needed. The house has games, puzzles, a gas fireplace, a big TV with all the streaming apps. The kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker and a Keurig, and all the other appliances needed to make meals. We asked for an early check-in which they were more than willing to accommodate. My kids loved the brand new modern bathroom the most. I recommend bringing your own pillows/, which I always do and forgot this time. These pillows are made of down and are a bit pokey. Personally, for me, I do not like down as it is too soft. These are personal preferences and not anything against the property. I know that I need to travel with my own pillow. Definitely recommend this cabin if you are headed to the area.
