About this apartment rental
Welcome to your hideaway studio on a quiet, forested lot, yet just a few minutes away from essential services and twenty minutes from downtown Seattle. You'll enjoy the entire studio with a queen bed, one bathroom, sitting area, and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The studio is attached to our home and has a private entrance from the back yard. Take a stroll down our trail to McAleer Creek and enjoy the Overlook Deck with your morning coffee or an afternoon beverage.
The space: The studio is on a wooded, one and a half acre property along a creek greenbelt in the city of Lake Forest Park, just outside Seattle. Explore the creek and trail on the property, or take a relaxing walk in a quiet residential neighborhood. Shops, restaurants and amenities are close by. We are located just one mile from the Shoreline North Light Rail station with connections to downtown Seattle, the International District, sports stadiums and Sea-Tac Airport.
Outdoor amenities: In addition to the studio itself, walk the vintage brick path to the Overlook Deck on the edge of the creek ravine, and follow the trail down to the creek. Listen for owls, occasional coyotes, and watch for woodpeckers and rabbits along the way. The Overlook Deck is a shared space with your hosts, as is the outdoor table and sitting area on the concrete pad under the maple tree.
Other things to note: The brick path to the Overlook Deck and the trail to the creek are uneven, steep in parts and slippery when wet. These amenities are not readily available for guests with mobility limitations.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. I appreciated the already-running a/c when I checked in on that hot day and the cold treat waiting in the fridge. I will be a return guest for sure.

The studio apartment was excellent. The layout is very nice. The only issue was a squeaky bed frame. Everything else was fantastic!

Beautiful surroundings. Quiet neighborhood.

We came in a couple of days early before going on an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle.
This studio apartment had everything we needed. It was clean, quiet, nicely furnished and had a wonderful backyard to overlook or spend time in.
There is a notebook inside that has all the instructions and recommendations for the area you could need.
You are close to grocery stores, restaurants, parks and I5.
You can walk the quiet street of the neighborhood. There is a spot to park by the mailbox.
We would stay here again no problem.

Arriving to the property was easy enough, very clear directions given to get there! Property was beautiful, highly recommend sitting out on the viewing deck and listening to the creek down below. Room was spacious and stocked with tea, coffee, and cooking utensils if needed!

We were very comfortable in the studio. And it was only a 20-minute drive to the city. Loved it.

I have to say, I was not excited about traveling to Seattle for work. But staying in this little forest, VRBO was exactly what I needed after a busy day in the city. Easy to find, clean, quiet, safe, nice owners, everything was absolutely perfect!

I travel a lot for work and found this tranquil gem to be a perfect place to unwind and relax away from home. Love the neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful. There were fun little touches i wasn’t expecting. Definitely going to bool this place again when i travel to seattle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is gorgeous and the studio is well appointed and so comfortable. A home away from home. Everything was perfect! We hope to stay here every time we come to Washington!

My husband and I stayed her for our 4 night trip while visiting friends in Seattle. First off the location could not have been more perfect, right off of I-5, 20 minute drive into the heart of the city and then also close to gorgeous neighborhoods. Janne thought of absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable and easy. Plenty of space and the bed is super cozy. I appreciated the nice coffee maker ( we used it everyday) and drank it outside of the cute patio surrounded by the peaceful woods. There are even books and games if you are going chill in the cabin on a rainy day. Oh and the Water was hot and pressure was good! Also no prison ply TP only the best!

My wife and I came to Seattle for a weekend getaway and this was perfect! In a quiet neighborhood with beautiful yard. It was so nice to go stand on the deck in the morning with a coffee. Janne was the perfect host with great communication. I would recommend for any couple wanting to get away !!

A big thank you for your exceptional hospitality. The studio was for perfect for my week long stay in Seattle. Cosy and quiet in a beautiful forest setting with all the amenities you could ask for. Comfortable bed, hot showers, great communication though out with easy access on arrival and during my stay. Super convenient to I5 & Seattle. I loved watching the squirrels from the window over my morning coffee!! Overall a great experience.

But we didn't miss it. Water was available in the bathroom. Everything was clean and of good quality. The location was totally lovely and quiet. Everything we needed was supplied. We had our 10 year old grandson spend one night, and he slept well on the couch. My husband and I are 67 (him) and 79, me. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle were all we needed. The binder was well-organized with the necessary info, and the host was friendly and helpful. Short walk downhill from the backyard to the creek was a good break from Seattle traffic and spending time with other family members.

Loved this space! The back yard has a private deck among tall trees to relax with coffee in the morning or beer in the evening. The space is comfortable, quiet and well equipped, with off street parking. Great communication, restaurant and retail recommendations. Highly recommended!

This was my first Vrbo experience and they set the bar for me.
So comfortable. Lovely setting. Kind people. Great communication, both electronically and within the room. I don't think I had a single question that wasn't answered in the information binder.
I was in town for a wedding and was moving pretty fast, it was such a blessing to not have to worry about needing things when we got back to the studio. Coffee in the morning, TV to wind down at days end, great water pressure in the shower, extra towels and blankets provided... Every time I looked up in my preparations asking if there was such and such in the room I found it.

Beautiful property with forested pitch and a bench by a bubbling stream. Perfect for getting the feel of the Northwest. Quick drive to Edmonds and the ferry dock. Great way to see Puget Sound and Rainier views on a clear day.
Nice place to stay. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Highly recommend!

Hotel not needed with a gem like this! If you are looking for a great place to stay in or around Seattle this is a must. Studio is fabulous and has all the comforts of home. My daughter and I stayed there for 3 nights and would go back in a heartbeat! The grounds are gorgeous and well kept and the studio is clean and comfortable with easy access to the freeway. Would highly recommend this for your next stay!

Liked the quiet woodsy location (very little traffic but still only 8 minutes to our daughter’s house). A short path leads to a deck overhanging a wooded view where a visitor can enjoy their morning coffee or tea before beginning their day, weather permitting.

Everything was clean and comfortable. We liked the spaces designated for TV viewing and eating, even though it is a studio. It is super quiet, and the host has provided everything you would need. We will gladly rent it again when we come to visit.

Property was clean, well-organized, quiet and accommodating. Great for one or two people. The backyard is a perfect place for coffee (when it's not raining), and is almost picturesque from the studio window. Lovely place, would stay here again.

This cute little studio was just what we needed. We were attending a wedding in Lake Forest and this place was perfect for us to rest our heads. The unit is attached to the main house, so a little less private. All in all it was clean and perfectly fit our needs.

This was a great little studio with a GORGEOUS view of a lush, secluded backyard! All furniture and other amenities were new and very stylish -- I especially loved the cute, vintage-style fridge. The only sink was the one in the bathroom, so it would be best for people who plan on eating out or ordering take out most nights. I would happily stay here again!

This property was great and the host were super helpful. The location is a little farther from downtown than I realized, but it's a beautiful and safe neighborhood. The space itself was very clean and I loved having some outdoor patio space. The hosts were attentive and helpful without being at all invasive. I would definitely stay here again!
