The house was cozy and had everything we needed. It was dog friendly and was close to the main street which made walking to dinner a breeze. It was also about 20 minutes from Black Canyon of the Gunnison South rim which made our plans easy!

Just the right place for us! Host could not have been more accommodating. Clean as a whistle. Nice backyard and comfy beds. Kitchen was perfect for us. Walking access to downtown was really convenient. Will book again next Summer!

This house was just right for us! It was very clean and the kitchen was very well appointed. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked well and there were also ceiling fans. The location is great and while we stayed in, it was easy walking distance to restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay at Brendas property. As she says, this is an older home but improvements that have been made to date and comfortable bedding plus the location make this a great place to stay. It was easy to access the River Trail on our bikes and we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood.

We really enjoyed this older home which was in a great location including walking distance to the Saturday farmers market. It was quite spacious and very comfortable with lots of windows. Quiet pretty older neighborhood and away from noisy streets.
We mainly used it as a base for day trips, traveling down to Ouray and Ridgeway for a day, and up to Hotchkiss for a kayak trip on the Gunnison river with Western SUP. Plenty of neat spots to visit in town too. We could easily have stayed a couple more days in Montrose.

This property was great! As advertised, it was really well set up for dogs and very convenient to all the great spots in downtown Montrose. The owner was super helpful and very nice (there was a bottle of white wine waiting for us!). We will definitely be back!

We loved the location, great access to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and excellent for any day trips to Telluride or Ouray. The house was comfortable but seating to watch TV was limited and the beds were very low. All in all it worked very well. Thanks!

Everything about this home was delightful. Great location in Montrose and with easy access to Black Canyon NP. Clean. Our Golden Retriever loved the back yard, which we don’t have. The entire process through VRBO, the property manager and owner was accurate and timely. We won’t hesitate to stay here next visit if available.

I loved this classic bungalow in the heart of Montrose, close to everything, and a great place to launch long bike rides out into the valley farmlands or up into the hills east of town. The home is fully equipped, clean and quiet. Will be back!

We had a great time visiting the area. This place is perfect for a family of three with a couple dogs…. like us!
Clean, spacious… photos don’t do it justice, nice fenced yard for the pups (and a doggie door). Great sitting room area as well, and a small living room. Wood stove was nice for Christmas, but also had temperature controlled heating.
Good size kitchen with everything you need.
Front oorch was nice, and great little neighborhood near Main Street (short walk) shopping.

Family of 4 in Colorado for vacation. We were wanting to stay someplace near things to do and within driving distance of other towns. This house fit every need we had! Fully stocked kitchen, tv room, ceiling fans, portable fans, great patios to sit outside, washer and dryer. We have zero complaints! It felt like being home, so comfortable. The only time I had to reach out to the owner (could not figure out how to flip the faucet to be a shower) she was quick to respond and help. And apologetic when not needed…it was an easy fix as it was just something I overlooked. If we go back to Montrose, we will stay at this house!

Dog-friendly gem
We had a lovely stay in this cute dog-friendly home. We felt right at home with the comfy beds and homey furnishings. The little TV nook in the back of the house was especially nice to retire to after a long day visiting family. There is a dog door with senior dog friendly ramp to the outside and a clean grassy fenced yard for the dogs. There was a minor issue with the fridge when we arrived the property owner came over within minutes and resolved the issue. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

We loved this little house! My mom and her 2 elderly parents stayed here. 4 adults and a small child were very comfortable here during our visit in the daytime. Home was fully stocked, thoughtful details included! Clean and easy location. Will stay here again and share this property with others in town! Wood burning fireplace was perfect for chilly fall weather!

Great house for a long family weekend in town. Very close to the downtown area and quick access to both the national park nearby but also some nice state parks. House is in great shape, and the owner reached out ahead of time to provide recommendations. Would absolutely stay here again if we came back to the area!

We had a wonderful time staying at this comfortable home. The location was perfect. We visited Ouray (the hot springs), Telluride, Black Canyon of the Gunnison North Rim, and Gunnison. The home was clean and the beds are comfy. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Fun times!

Great little corner house
Myself, my wife, and our dog stayed here for 4 nights while I worked. We’ve been here for a few weeks now, and this rental was definitely the nicest, and best location of the other rentals in town.
We really enjoyed this house! It was clean with fresh towels and bedding, and very nicely decorated. It was also a nice surprise to see a bottle of Tempranillo sitting out on the counter when we arrived. We would definitely come back here in the future.
The only cons were that the bed was pretty hard and there wasn’t the best water pressure in the shower. Not a big deal, just something to note.
On a side note- If you’re in Montrose, don’t miss out on the Black Canyon. The views are truly stunning, and the walking trails are enjoyable to hike. We went on a Thursday evening just before sunset, and there was no one around. Every point of interest that we pulled over to get out at had an empty parking lot. It was amazing.

Very cute place and although I personally already live in Montrose in a lovely house on 10 acres, I would be very happy living in this house full time. Great location and such a fun town.
