Sleepless in Erinvale

Rooms were great and staff very friendly.

TV remote did not work correctly (both our rooms). Hotel generator right outside my room, switched on from 22:00 to 00:00 during load shedding. Too close to rooms and too loud to sleep! Sometime between 01:15 and 01:30 a number of rooms very loud smoke alarms started to sound for 10 to 15 mins..apparently for no reason... Managment did not know why (next morning) and it meant the end of our sleep for the evening! At the room rate charged for both rooms (more than R5,000 each), our experience was extremely dissapointing!

Excellent. Next time we will stay for the whole weekend

Breakfast was amazing, fresh and with great portions.

It seemed under staffed or the staff were not clear on who was serving which table. Took a while before our arrival was seen and recognised. After that it was excellent.

Superb hotel

Our fourth visit and each time has been very enjoyable. The staff very friendly and welcoming.

Noisy fridge in the bedroom with no visible plug to switch it off. Very small bathroom.

Superb

Very nice facility! Beautiful courtyard and nice and spacious rooms!

Not highly recommended for younger people, clientele rather older than younger which is of course totally ok maybe not wanted by a couple of guests.

Elegance and luxury.

The property is exceptional in every way. The grounds are gorgeous, the decor and design is breathtaking with so much attention to detail, and the beds are out of this world. Truly world class. Plus they have a generator.

The food could be improved.

A memorable experience

peaceful and tranquil Gardens a splendour to walk around in Breakfast under the oak tree a wonderful experience but the food we got served as room service from the kitchen was amazing delicious and so appreciated as we had spent the whole day at a hospital that had poor basic food and we had not arrived back at the hotel early in time to book a table at any of the Restuarants The hotel served us supper of our choice in our room with speed and splendid quality Thank you to the staff and cooks

The best hotel I've ever been to

The staff were exceedingly helpful. Our stay was beyond perfect in every possible way. The estate is exceptionally beautiful. The rooms are the perfect blend of old and new. Classy and sophisticated. The bathrooms are beautiful and in perfect condition. The food was perfectly fresh and delicious with massive variety. The entire stay was an experience from start to end. We loved it so much for our first night of our honeymoon that we had to book a night at the end of our honeymoon aswell

The WiFi reception in our room #10 could have been a bit better but it was still good enough to stream series on the TV.

Sorry, not again for us!

Service in restaurant was great, we had a very friendly lady in the library as well as magnolia.

At the reception we were checked in by a gentleman who looked at us somewhat deprecatingly. Due to an error at booking.com the amount was not debited, although it said so there. Thereupon he eyed us very critically, instead of just waiting here. After that was clarified, he was friendlier! Then we were taken to the rooms! Sink was not clean, at the small drain hole was dirty. In the evening the maid came and cleaned the room. In the process, she completely took away the somewhat wet bath mat and did not bring a new one! The drawers of the desk did not close properly. It wasn’t really worth for the room rate. we paid less in the hotels before and they were better. sorry for that!

Comfortable and superb in every way! A little piece of heaven.

The breakfast was superb and the staff were very freindly and accomodating. The hotel is located in Erinvale and surrounded by beautifull wine farms. Always a special place!
