About this cottage rental
Enjoy time away with family at a quaint updated lake house on the extraordinary Cobbosseeconte Lake in Manchester Maine. The beautiful 4 season scenery is breathtaking. Camp at Cobbosseeconte is the perfect setting for a memorable summer vacation, weekend get away or Thanksgiving and Christmas season with family.
Down a quite private drive, you can enjoy relaxing while taking in the beauty of the lake. Beautiful views every season, from the colors of October, the crisp winter air to the extraordinary summer sunsets. Enjoy time with family or friends kayaking, ice skating, fishing, boating or simply sitting on the deck watching the sunset.
Our two bedrooms, full bath, updated kitchen, bartop counter that seats 5. 1 Queen bed, 2 bunk beds (double on the bottom, twin on the top) pull out double sofa. Sleeps 10 comfortably.
The view of the lighthouse on Ladies Delight Island. “Maine’s only freshwater, landlocked lighthouse plays sentinel to one of the state’s longest lakes, bordering five towns over nine miles. Designed by Boston marine architect Frank Morse, the 25-foot lighthouse was constructed to prevent vessels from going aground on a jagged reef in the middle of the lake. Initial construction proved hairy (not to mention comical) when the builders set out to transport two oxen to the island to help raise the structure. The crew could only haul one ox at a time due to the size of their barge. After they dropped one ox at the site and were on their way to fetch the other, the first ox apparently got lonesome and began swimming back to the mainland to find his friend. The crew finally got both animals out to the island, and construction was finished over the summer of 1908.
Flashing its beacon nightly 365 days a year for over a century and administered by one of America’s oldest continually operating yacht clubs, the lighthouse is the last of three that once guided boaters on this sizable body of water (vestiges of the others can be found on different corners of the lake). It is thought that the lake’s name derives from an Abenaki word meaning “the place of many sturgeon.” The name of the lighthouse (and the island on which it is perched) is a bit of a mystery, since it suggests this spot is a favored destination for picnics and other fun activities — highly unlikely, given the island’s rugged terrain and small size.”

The location of the house gives you awesome views at sunset. Great deck facing the water, beautiful inside counter/ bar in the kitchen with more great views of the water from inside. Clean comfortable beds. Jennifer was great to work with , even arranged an early check in. Highly recommend

The almost permanent view of the lake was magnificent. Since the lake is west of the property, the sunsets are also wonderful. I even took one of the kayaks out to the Lighthouse. Even though it looks far away but it only took about 10 minutes of easy paddling. Great place for a peaceful vacation. Bar Harbour was close enough for quick day trip and then the Loop at Acadia Nat'l Park provided great panoramic views.

The property was great! It was clean and comfortable. My family and friends were able to ice fish directly from the Lake House. We also ventured to the middle of the lake to look at the lighthouse (checking ice thickness frequently) and made another trip out to fish around the lighthouse the next day when winds lightened. The fishing was on the slow side but managed some decent fish (Bass and Pike) eventually just no giant pike. My son was thrilled to catch his first pike on his brand new "Jack Trap". The neighbor was also friendly and helpful to us. I'm sure the place is amazing in the summer on a hot day relaxing on the large deck area or enjoying the water. We had a great stay for winter vacation.

We had a great stay at Jennifer’s camp on Cobbosssee! We headed up for a weekend of ice fishing unfortunately Mother Nature didn’t cooperate for fishing directly off the big lake but we had a great time at little Cobb just a short drive away. Plenty of space for us and our family the kids loved their bunk room! Check in was simple and they even made sure that the drive and entry was safe for walking from an overnight ice storm right before we arrived! Would love to see this place during the summer! Would recommend the Cozy Lake house to anyone looking for a beautiful lake retreat ! Thanks Jennifer !

The house was immaculate, and even better in person than in photos. It is at the end of a long private road in a very quiet area. It couldn't be any closer to the water, and it is a beautiful lake. Definitely need to return when it's warm enough to swim, we will be back!

Fantastic place to stay! Just off a gorgeous little gravel road Beautiful views of the lighthouse right on the lake. Kayak out to them too! Comfy beds, clean and tidy house. Sat on the patio and just relaxed watching the loons feeding just off the dock. Good internet and smart TVs in every room with great streaming capabilities. Will stay here again when we return!

Property was clean and comfortable. We loved the deck and lake views. We would have like to know about the “do not drink the water” info before we rented. Some water was provided but even more (several gallons) would have been expected and helpful.

Jennifer's property was just as described...simply amazing. She is just as amazing as a host with prompt responses and providing a wonderful stay for her guests.
We frankly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and the location was perfect. It was quiet with plenty of room for my partner and I, and my 2 sisters during our time visiting family in the area. The outside deck area is excellent for having a cocktail, while enjoying the view and fresh air. Inside had more than enough room and seating for folks to relax and visit.
We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Lake House - The Perfect Getaway!
I can't say enough good things about this rental. The photos don't do it justice as it's even more beautiful and spacious than expected. Jennifer is very responsive and accommodating and the home was spotless and included everything we needed for cooking, swimming or just relaxing while watching the sunset. Our two young boys had a blast swimming off of the dock and fishing with my husband out on the lake. We often took their toys out on the spacious deck so they could play while we enjoyed the views.
All in all it was the best vacation we've had in years and we can't wait to come back next summer!

Gorgeous and Excellent
Jennifer’s property is absolutely stunning. The kitchen and dining room overlook the gorgeous water and the lighthouse. The dock is so much fun to swim at or just float in a tube. Inside the house modern touches and features create a beautiful atmosphere. The windows and sliding glass doors truly make you feel that you’re outside even when you’re inside. The property was also very clean and everything we needed was available. Finally, Jennifer was a pleasure to communicate with and worked to accommodate all that our group needed. I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful lakehouse
I stayed with my sister and some friends for a getaway weekend. The house is beautiful and decorated so well. We loved the lakefront property! I got to enjoy my morning coffee to the sound of the loons, and the lake was a nice, refreshing dip in the afternoon. I would certainly recommend this property and would return for another vacation.
