Great house with all facilities and very comfortable. Stunning views on the surrounding nature from the house. Very good WiFi. Great location to explore Snowdonia national park.

Quaint little cottage in the lovely quiet hamlet of Cwm Penmachno. There are amazing views from the cottage across the valley. We went for a couple of great walks up the disused quarry, just up the road. Once at the top of this walk there are fantastic views of the valley. This was a really interesting walk, highly recommended.
There was enough off-street parking for two cars plus more space if we needed it on the road. We appreciated the wood burner stove and TV with streaming device (Netflix, etc) in the living room and the large kitchen/diner with lots of space for a large family to congregate. The sleeping areas were not perfect for older people however, probably more suited to a young family but we made it work.
My wife and I slept in the top bedroom (loft) and found the two single beds to be comfortable, however having to go up two flights of stairs to get to bed was tiring. If we were a little younger I'm sure it would have been no problem at all. (the loft would be perfect for children for example). The low beams were a bit annoying having bashed our heads a couple of times. Maybe the owner could consider attaching some sort of foam/bump strip.
The double bed in the main bedroom, according to my sister-in-law was uncomfortable and she commented that she thought that the springs had gone in the mattress.
The owner was very responsive to my questions and accommodating prior to making the booking as well as during my stay. We would definitely book this property again

A beautifully renovated & furnished cottage in an exceptionally lovely valley. One problem we should have anticipated--the bedrooms are very small; especially for oldies like us--mid-70s,80s and one of 90! More storage space in the double-bed room would have been appreciated.
All-in- all though we enjoyed our stay very much.Thank you,Erica

This was our 5th time we have stayed at this lovely cottage with it’s beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect to visit surrounding attractions and it’s such a lovely area to stay. This time the weather was not so nice but we still managed to do all the things we planned. My only criticism was the cottage was not as clean as it had been in the past.

Just back from a fabulous time here at this cottage. Was nice and remote but also close enough to explore. The cottage was beautifully presented and had absolutely everything we needed and more. As and when we come back to North Wales this will be our choice of place to stay. Thank you :)

Good property in a nice location. Not too far from Betws y Coed.
Good sized kitchen/diner. Good downstairs space. Bedrooms a little small, but comfortable.
Very good value for money.
Garden quite small, grass area quite steep but great views from front and back of the cottage. An enjoyable stay and we were very lucky with the weather.

We had a lovely time here. The location is pretty spectacular, surrounded by peaks and the old slate quarry. Remote enough to feel very peaceful, but close enough to the village / town to not feel too cut off. Very well equipped and wonderful large kitchen area. Thank you!

The most amazing cottage in a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle … gorgeous house with everything you could want for your holiday …. The property has been refurbished to a very high standard and is very well equipped. Hard to think of anything missing. The secure shed for bicycle storage is welcome and big enough for 2-3 bikes. The location is quiet with great views and good walks from the door. It's a short drive to Betws Y Coed if the quiet gets too much. The Eagle in Penmachno is welcoming with good ales and good basic food, and there's a convenience store too, approx. 3 miles by road. I'd recommend exploring the old quarry and going onto the deserted slate village further up, you'll find all the info. including guides and maps in the property. Overall, a definite one to return to and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy outdoor activity.

The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and much bigger than the photos online show. The views from the front and rear of the property are incredible. We found loads to do in the nearby area, castles, beaches, walks and zip world. Would definitely recommend a stay here, we loved it.

My fiancee and myself stayed here for a week, and found the property perfectly suited our needs. It was very clean, warm and the location is fantastic. Was very easy to find, and easy access to everything North Wales has on offer.
All in all a wonderful holiday, would definitely stay again.

From start to finish our booking for Bwythyn Angell could not have been any more perfect.
Excellent communication from property owners, seamless check in and so easy to deal with.
The property is quite simply stunning. Spacious, well equipped, clean and a perfect location for exploring.
Upon arrival I was greeted with local sheep and chickens who had gotten into the garden, which was lovely and a breathtaking view from the garden, so peaceful and quiet.
Beds were very comfy - only small point would be considering updating to include 2 x double/king size beds so as to make it more suitable for two couples perhaps, rather than 1 double and two rooms with singles/bunks - nonetheless, we absolutely loved our stay! None of us wanted to come home and are looking forward to coming back!!
Thanks so much

What an amazing little place to get away to. The Cottage was everything we could have wised for and more. From the cosy feel, to all the mod-cons this place it very well equipped for all your needs. Situated in a very quiet and rural part of wales with only the sound of nature to disturb your thoughts, be it the lambs in the field behind the house, or the waterfall on the hills.
We had a wonderful time exploring planning local area, including the old quarry and ventured out to as many nearby attractions as possible in the time we had. But in the end what made it so great was returning each evening to a truly spectacular home.

Beautiful cottage, very well appointed with almost anything you could need. Peaceful location off the beaten track and very friendly locals. We used the cottage as a base to explore Snowdonia, Caernarfon, Anglesey and also visited a couple of the zip world sites. Not far from beautiful Betws-y-coed but far from the tourist trail. Highly recommended if you love a peaceful break.
