The quaintness of this little enclave of cottages, cleanliness and close proximity to Lake Tahoe was fantastic! We tried to extend our stay because we were having such a great experience, but this cute little home was already booked for the same day we were scheduled to check out. We are hoping that it is available again next July because we would like to come back for a longer stay. We had only one tiny snag - it gets quite warm in the afternoon in July and there was only one small table fan at the site. Luckily, we brought a couple of box fans from home just in case. It would be nice to have more fans at the home so we don't need to bring our own. Again - this is such a tiny issue, but I at least wanted to mention it in case it helps someone else plan for their summer stay. This in no way impacted our review or overall satisfaction - we are very happy and satisfied with the experience and want to come back:) Thank you to the owners and management company for such a great experience!

Could use updating

Pine coves #2 nice cozy cabin it is beachfront property and close to everything but it needs updating. Shower is very small for my 6'4 husband. It is pet friendly and my dog has a place to run around. Communication is great. Overall, if we have to go back to Lake Tahoe we will surely stay in this place again.

The private beach and dock are wonderful! Close to kings beach, shopping, & dining. The cleanliness wasnt great, bathroom trash was full when we arrived, including dirty diapers; and the bedding could have used a refresh.
We loved the fireplace and the kitchen is well stocked with nice cookware, but overall the property is relatively run down. The second twin bed is quite old and hard.
Ultimately its a nice stay, but some basic repairs and simple upgrades could make it great.

Lovely 1 bedroom cottage just short steps to lakefront. Fully equipped, clean, cozy and view of the lake. Lovely deck with patio furniture and easy access to beach with boat dock, which is pleasant to sit on and enjoy the sunrise. Conviently located to great hikes, restaurants and Safeway. Barbaqued a lovely steak dinner on the propane grill conveniently located just off our porch. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is/was such a gem - right on the lake in a chill little complex with the beach + deck & pier, just steps from the front door. It’s just a cozy vibe with everything you need, and nothing you don’t! It’s not well marked (part of why it’s a hidden gem;)) so definitely map it & consolidate into 1 car - parking is limited. Would stay here again (:

We've stayed at Pine Cove Cottages for many years, although this was the first time at #2. Couldn't get either TV to work, but that wasn't really an issue as we don't go to Tahoe to watch TV. All in all, a very nice place to stay, and you can't beat the location, right on the lake with a private dock. Highly recommended!

Small cozy cabin right on lake. Beach is fantastic. Shared deck is definitely a highlight. Cabin is basic, but fit our needs. A perfect base for water sports and hiking.

Tahoe time
Cozy and clean, dog-friendly cabin right on the lake. Couldn't ask for a better location! The cabin is much roomier than pictures show. Perfect size for our small family. Enjoyed easy access (stairs) to the beach and the fireplace after our walks (it was a cool weekend). You can also walk to the grocery store; driving takes just a few minutes.. We'll be back!

Great location but needs serious updating
Location was perfect but this property is in some need of serious updating. The bed in the master bedroom caves in and the bedding looked very worn and dirty (like it hadn't been washed in a while). The padding that is on the window seat (what is meant to be the "couch") is so flat and uncomfortable, it feels like you're just sitting on a piece of wood. The bathroom faucet has no water pressure and the handle is about to come loose (we ended up washing our faces and brushing our teeth in the kitchen). There were multiple lightbulbs out (but we notified the property management company and they were quick to drop some off). The location is amazing and we enjoyed the access to the lake but for the price and and condition of the home, we would not stay here again.

Charming Setting
We had a lovely stay. The location was easy to get to and great place to stay for skiing at Northstar. Super adorable cottage and courtyard and beach access. The home and furniture and appointments were all on the older side and well worn. Kitchen has most of what we needed, but could have used a few more essentials. The shower stall was tiny and leaked a bit. The deadbolt lock needed replaced as the key stuck. The electric baseboard heaters were noisy and the cover was coming off in most spots. But that all is pretty minor and all and all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again! Thank you!

Great location, quaint cabin
The cabin and furnishings are worn but it was well kept and a great location. There was only one window we could see the lake from, but I sure enjoyed that view!
The ‘dog basket’ listed in rules wasn’t there. We left a message and never heard back.
Contactless, seamless check in and out.
View from share deck was great and we enjoyed ourselves! Thank you.

Perfect little apartment for couple!
Adorably decorated apartment with great location at Moon Dunes beach. Kitchen was a bit dated but everything was clean and tidy! Can't beat the location!

Great potential !
Great beach access! Close to shopping and restaurants. This property is dated, dimly lit and the furnishings are uncomfortable and need to be updated. The shower is only good for short people. My husband is 6 foot and the shower hit him the lower chest. The bathroom sink faucet is loose and has low water pressure.
Exterior landscaping is beautiful having been recently refreshed. The deck is awesome.

Location, location, location!
Absolutely loved our weeklong stay here. The cute cabin, comfy bed, amazing deck, beach, and pier were all amazing. We are from Tahoe and very familiar with the area. This was a true gem of a rental!

Great location
My husband and I stayed with our toddler and dog and had a great visit. The condo is right on the lake and is close to the amenities in kings beach. We’d definitely stay again

Incredible location with direct access to the lake
The Tahoe Vista cabin is an incredibly charming place that is perfect for a couple. We stayed three nights and can't recommend it enough. The cabin is located right behind another cabin that has a view on the lake, but it comes with it own dining table and barbecue and a direct access to the lake, which is ideal to enjoy the sunset. The kitchen is well equipped so you can definitely stay there for a couple of days if you plan on making your own meals. The experience with the rental company was seamless and we even got to meet the owners, who were lovely. We'll definitely be coming here again!

Nice place, but needs some attention
Location great, bed comfy, couch very uncomfortable. Many kitchen needs missing (no pot for boiling water, no strainer, few cups), burned out light bulbs, key to dock didn't work. We ended up not bringing our dogs and were glad we didn't since they weren't allowed on the deck. These are all things that could be easily remedied (or accounted for before we got there if we had known about them).

Lake Dream
We had a great time at Lake Tahoe, including our four-legged family member. The cabin was perfect for us, it had all we needed, and there was a nice atmosphere with owners, other guests, and neighbors. Special mention goes to the private deck that offered a wonderful view of the lake and was a great launch pad for water activities!

Great view and cozy place
We had a great time in this cozy place with a great view. Walking to the end of the common deck leads to a beautiful beach that has great sunsets!

Over priced, not very comfy
The price was on the high side for the quality of the rental, my expectations were a bit higher.
Very nice location the very quaint cottage was clean and a well stocked kitchen. Also pet friendly!
My biggest complaint is that there is not a comfortable place to sit and relax the bench/ couch is a wood bench with a very very thin cushion on it and too many pillows, this was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on.
The shower is tiny and the twin bed well is a twin bed.
Again a very nice area, the manager let us in early and we did have a fun time. Doubt I would stay there again because of the price and lack of basic comfort. We did have a limited view of the lake.

Cozy Cottage on Lake Tahoe
The little gem of a cabin is a great escape! Super clean, cute decor and a roaring fireplace (gas so it was easy to leave for the night to grab dinner). There are two large reading nooks that are super cozy with piles of pillows to cuddle up with. Our 8 year old- daughter was able to comfortably sleep in one of them. The shared communal deck was the best place to cozy up with a glass of wine and a blanket, or coffee in the morning. We did both! The view of the lake is unlike anything I've seen. Super close to Northstar and a great sledding hill off National Ave just down the road. Can't wait to come back and hang out on the beach this summer! We will certainly be back! Awesome experience!
