Location was great, roomy apartment with facilities / garden which could imagine beneficial in summer months more so -
There was no toilet roll and buttons on TV remote control were hit and miss, to be honest though easily worked round
4.0 / 5.0
Location in quiet area , very clean and tidy, good facilities
Lack of toilet roll, hook on back of bathroom door, Decking and Garden could do with a refresh other than that it was great , would stay again

Seating, comfortable bed. Heating and shower worked well. Very little worktop space
Dirty kettle, cutlery and glasses needed a good clean/polish. Empty hand wash container in bathroom. No proper bin liners. Flat not professionally cleaned in my view.

Location very good for harbour & town centre
Not clean, could do with a good spruce up, some lights not working, dirty oven tray. Some cups & crockery needed to be washed up, freezer iced up (could not use), soiled mattress, washing machine had towels in it, could do with new towels and tea towles, carpets dirty and worn, rubbish left on balcony table.

No meal arrangement on this property rental.
The property fitted our request there was little or nothing we disliked.

Comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Good kitchen appliances. Staff very accommodating. Good parking space.
Blinds on windows broken. Cushions on chairs grubby. Only 3 teaspoons.

It was warm,and easy parking.
Out side area not dog friendly as advertised, fence panel down & garden completely overgrown, appeared no maintenance this year. Two wheely bins full & overflowing with kitchen waste + other detritus, clearly not been emptied for some considerable time.Television did not work, blinds in both bedrooms broken,as the property is overlooked front and back, privacy was comprised.Bathroom only one ceiling light worked + light over the mirror didn't work + other broken fixtures.
The fixtures and fittings all seemed of good quality however a general air of neglect and lack of maintenance was evident.
We left early on Wednesday!
Photographs of most of the above are available.
I would not recommend this property under any circumstances,in my opinion it needs a thorough overhaul.

clean and tidy. had everything you need
2.5 / 5.0
Tv and wifi.
Dishwasher
Location (close to shops snd beach)
General lack of attention to detail (not very clean with lots of dust, dirty crockery, untidy outside space etc)
Chipped crockery
Lack of basic kitchen utensils (e.g. no grater or chopping board)
Parking was good in theory but steep driveway plus people parked opposite made it very tricky to park.
No personal touches made it feel a bit unloved (no visitor book, welcome pack, message from host etc which we would normally expect).
We know that lots of these issues have been raised previously having read reviews so disappointing that they have not been addressed
No bedside lights so couldn’t read in bed (the one plug in lamp did not work) and kitchen lighting not working.
3.5 / 5.0
Very well located and off street parking was a real bonus, as was the quality TV.
It has obviously been well used and needs a full check to ensure that everything is in good order, particularly lights and window coverings.

No breakfast
The Blue Skies had the very basic cooking saucepans and cutlery, not that we were cooking that much, but had to eat out every day.

Excellent location. A short walk to the harbour and beaches. Plus your own private parking spot is a godsend.
We were greeted by broken blinds downstairs and a really bad smell. We were staggered at how filthy the accommodation was! The beds/towels had been changed but I don't think a cleaner had been. The bathroom floor was horrendous. Covered in lots of dark dog and human hair. The garden was FULL of large dog poos (and bags of dog poo that hadn't been removed...) The outside light didn't work - so we couldn't take our dog down the steep steps into the garden at night or sit outside. The bathroom and bedroom door handles are hanging off and everything in the kitchen looked so dirty that we didn't so much as use the kettle during our visit (and the kitchen sink drain desperately needs bleaching... the stench is awful!) To top it all of - we arrived after a lengthy car journey only to find there wasn't even a single toilet roll. At least warn people that such a basic item isn't included! Disappointed doesn't even come close.

The location was perfect for our visit. The balcony was a really nice thing to have too.
There could have been more pans, there were two small ones and one not really safe. If I had wanted to cook more than just some poached eggs I wouldnt have been able to do so. Also, I thought there would be some basic cleaning items so I could keep the place clean, even a mop or a brush made available, but, the one I found was broken.
I normally bring cleaning things, but, other places I have stayed in have provided these, so I didn't bring anything with me this time. I like to clean the place, even though a cleaner would be coming in as Its just common courtesy and especially with Covid.

Location
Wrong postcode on information. No side lights in main room. Light in other bedroom not working. No welcome pack had to ring for cleaning supplies. Blinds falling apart. Entry windows by front door very mucky and smeary. Chipped plates and mugs.

Where the property was situated
On arriving the bin was overflowing with 4 extra black bin bags that were full and overflowing strewn about the path, drive and road, we had a job to get on the drive. I informed the owner but never heard back from him about that. The other bad first impression was the blinds on the front door were broken and on the floor.
On entering the flat I found that it had not been cleaned properly, food spillage in microwave, toaster dirty, melted chocolate on table and chair, none of the surfaces had been wiped, pots still in dishwasher, crumbs over the sofa. The owner did ask if I wanted a cleaner sending over but in the 2hrs it took him to reply to me, I had done it myself. I bought eggs and bacon to cook but when I took out frying pan it was in a disgusting state, so didn't use it.
I think the least the owner could refund us is the cleaning charge , as it was supposed to be professionally cleaned, but obviously not.
The decking outside was very dirty, also garden furniture old and dirty. So on the whole very disappointing. Since coming home have seen another review where that person had complained about the bad cleaning and she said he sent a cleaner over for them. So please read all the reviews.

A good base for the town, loved Whitstable and the area.
I wish there had been a hoover????.
The flat hadn't been properly cleaned and my nephew moaned about a cornflake on the floor and other crumbs etc under the table and around the rooms, I hope the owner isn't paying lots of money for cleaning as he needs to fire them.
Its a shame as could be lovely accommodation..
It shows in the picture lovely white towels on the bed. The towels we had one bath towel the rest were small ones and need replacing as look old now.
The bed rooms need basic bedside lamps and it just needs a little TLC.
It didn't ruin my stay, but it
just put a bit of a dampner on our first night there.
Ps frying pan needs replacing not nice and I wouldn't use it. Bins were full outside so no where to put our rubbish. Collected them the day after we arrived.
£578 is alot of money for 4 nights wish I had read comments better.

It was self catering so no breakfast involved. The location was ok
When we went the weather was extremely hot 30 degrees. There was very little ventilation in the flat. The bedroom windows could only open a little. There was one door that we could open and it became very claustrophobic for us. There was no fan and no one slept well because it was just too hot and unbearable. The linen did not smell fresh more like as if it was in a cupboard for a long time-stale smell .The flat was not cleaned well -we did it ourselves again. There were no bin bags in the kitchen to throw the garbage nor any kitchen towels which I thought was odd. So we had to go and get some from the shops.

Location was excellent - 5min walk to the beach from the back door - from front door 10min walk to High St with lots of pub, bars and restaurants. Lovely bakery in High St too!
Good strong WiFi and decent HDTV. Living area a little small but fine for a couple or those with smaller children - would feel a bit crowded with 4 adults.
Good strong hot shower
Overall a nice place to stay in a great location - good value for money - would stay again
Lots of dog hair on sofa/armchair on arrival - not a big issue as hoover was available - but maybe something for cleaner to check
A bit short on cooking pots/pans but I didn't go on holiday to make big meals - fine for breakfast and snacks

Fairly basic but had everything we needed, great communication and easy to check ourselves in and out. Good location, quiet area.
Would recommend and stay again.
Would be nice if garden was a bit more use able for sitting out in and suitable for kids to play in, needs some turf down.
Additional dog fee not advertised.

Beds were very confortable. Apart from the mugs the place was very clean! Very good location for the harbour.
Cups were filthy, had to wash these when we got there. Towels provided were not bath towels but we had brought our own anyway.

Milk and a few tbags would have been nice on arrival
