Super. Comfortable Apartment

Located in a lovely town with canals and windmill. Spacious, brightly lit and well equipped kitchen stuffed with condiments. Ilse was very gracious to pick us up at the Troelstralaan metrostation in the rain. Even adjusted the floor heaters in the apartment to suit our choice.

All beds made as singles - double would have been nice as rather than just two singles pushed together. Made for a bit of an uncomfortable sleep

Exceptional home away from home

This is a truly special apartment. Our host met us for check in and gave us the tour, and we were greeted by their dogs and chickens! The apartment was spotless, airy, quiet, and calm. The historic part of Schiedam is very idyllic and we were situated on the canal and near the main museums and bars. Everything we needed was provided in the stocked kitchen, and the bathroom was very grand with a powerful shower. I'd also recommend this for family stays as there are 2 toilets and a dining area.

Lovely property in a great location

Location is wonderful, picture postcard canal-side. Easy access to Scheidam central station and water taxi. Plus restaurants, cafes, bars and shops all within very short walk. Stylishly furnished interior, fully equipped.

Nothing bad to say, we loved our 4 days there, but perhaps a bit more storage in the bedrooms so we could hang up/ unpack some clothes would have been helpful.

The owners Ilse and Cor did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable

The property situated on the bank of the main canal in Schiedam was a perfect location with outstanding views. The house had great character and was equipped with every required kitchen utensil. The apartment was situated on the ground floor and the owners Ilse and Cor lived on the floor above. They were easily contactable whenever required. The artisan bread shop just round the corner was very useful. Highly recommended and we would choose to stay there again if we revisit Schiedam. Thank you Ilse and Cor.

Great location, gorgeous town, beautiful apartment - would definitely stay again!

The location of this apartment couldn't be better - Schiedam is a lovely, quiet, picturesque town that is every travellers dream. Our host Ilse was exceptionally friendly and helpful, taking a few moments upon arrival to answer our questions about the town and it's facilities. The apartment was bright and airy but still warm and inviting, we were very comfortable as a group of 4 (2 couples). Highly recommend!

This is an fantastic apartment newly renovated in an charming old traditional Dutch house. We were staying with our two adult daughters and the apartment exceeded expectations, Near to grocery stores and a number of good restaurants in walking distance. There is both a tram and trains going into the Rotterdam city. We were welcomed directly by the owners, who are living in the same building. An enjoyable couple of days catching up with some work colleagues and also some socialising.

The location is great for central Schiedam. We were welcomed and shown around by the host and they were great throughout the weekend. We will use the same apartment next time we visit.

Perfect stay and happy to go back

the position of the property was perfect in the historic part of the town with nearby restaurants and shops. The hosts, Ilse and Cor were super friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was beautifully done up with all amenities and very comfortable and clean. I will miss my morning coffee in the yard while having conversations with the chickens !!

- the apartment is brand new. Newly renovated. - there are many things iron, washing machine, toaster, kettle, oven, full kitchen equipments - many items didnt use yet. - there are two bedroom, large living room, one bathroom with shower + bathtub + toulet - host is quite generous because coffee, tea, sugar, salt, even olive oil available:)

-first the apartment is very cold because host turned the heat when we enter and it was 17 degrees and outside 4/5 degrees. - It took 1 day to reach 18 degrees, because there are heating system by floor. Next day hardly we reached 23 degrees but it wasnt enough, because apartment has high ceiling, huge windows, ground floor and the walls was cold due to noN used heater. It ll be suitable mostly summer time stay or owner should keep open heater during winter time and make sure temp firm and even. - the apartment is not soundproof, you can hear upper floor talks, music, walks. Overall our stay is ok, host is very friendly and polite…but if you have small kids, you should re consider for winter time because there are really cold , me and my father used two blanked and wore our hat during sleep :)
