We were in town for our Colleran family annual 4th of July reunion and celebration of our 94 year old patriarch my father Jack Colleran. He turned 94 on the 5th of July.
Our daughter Kim, her husband Cody and our granddaughter Hayden traveled with us from our home in Frankfort, Illinois.
Our son Jake joined us from Mexico City.
I grew up in Severna Park and had many high school friends that lived in the Pines on Severn community back in the late 60's.
We enjoy kayaking on the Severn, fishing on the pier and relaxing in the back yard or deck enjoying the peaceful serenity of Chase Cove.
We really enjoyed our stay and hospitality of Mike and Jill.

It was amazing. My family and I stayed there for a month while finishing a house renovation. Everything about it was amazing. Every weekend was filled with adventures on the water and movies in the big screen. Beautiful property, owners were so nice and accommodating- everything about the stay was great. If we weren’t going home to a new home we wouldn’t have wanted to leave!! Definitely a great place and would recommend it to anyone!!

Our stay was great! The little details from coffee and wine set out to other little things go a long way with us. Jill was fantastic to communicate and work with. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was everything we needed it to be for commissioning week. It had lots of fun activities for kids- Foose ball, bocci ball, kayak, etc.
It was awesome

Wonderful Christmas holiday with family. Great hosts. Big and as advertised. Note that the flag room bedroom has no windows in case anyone is a bit claustrophobic. We were fine but it was noticed. Connects to a huge family room and yard. So just leave the spacious doors open.

The house was comfortable, well maintained and a great place to spend a few days. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family. We my husband and I, my mother, and our two teens. Everyone had their own space! The downstairs was perfect for winding down and watching a movie. My son spent hours in the hanging chair on the back patio. I soaked in the view from the deck while sitting by the fire each evening. The home was well stocked and the owner was helpful, communicative, and friendly. I highly recommend. We were here to visit the Naval Academy. The location was perfect!

We had a great 5 day weekend! Jill communicated very well and it was a perfect home to just relax with family. Our pup Bentley had a great time as well! There's a grocery store less than a mile away and Annapolis is about 10 minutes away. It's a very private location and the best part of the home was the back deck and fireplace where we spent several hours each evening!

Great property that allows pets.
Very close and convenient to activities and Annapolis.

Nestled at the bottom of a steep, forested hill, this quiet four bedroom house feels like a large ark beached on the bank of a country river. Tight quarters, as on a boat, but comfortable. Excellent air conditioning proved essential during the clammy summer heat. Despite the rustic location, Safeway and CVS are five minutes away, and in another ten minutes you can be in the heart of Annapolis, with its restaurants and other tourist attractions. We rode bikes and walked dogs along a nearby footpath that tracks an abandoned railroad for miles. An excellent YMCA is also close.

An amazing home!
This house is amazing! It is so beautifully decorated, with everything you could wish for--wonderfully stocked kitchen, boardgames, comfortable seating, nice bedrooms and bathrooms, and so much more--and all perfectly clean. The homeowner is utterly delightful--so responsive and helpful, and the fresh flowers and champagne that greeted us upon our arrival were above and beyond terrific. My favorite part--the upper deck is a dream! Gorgeous views of the water and an elegant firepit--we spent most nights out there enjoying a glass of wine as the sun went down. Heavenly! Loved the kayak and exploring the inlet, wonderful walks through the neighborhood, lots of wildlife to watch (herons, baby ducks, deer, all sorts of other birds), and this home is so conveniently located close to everything you could want or need. We have stayed in ten Vrbo's in the area this year, and most of my family chose this one as their favorite of all! If you have a chance to stay here, do--you won't regret it. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Perfect Getaway
This property had all the treasures of home! We felt so comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. It’s a hidden gem but yet close to grocery store and the Naval Academy. We can’t wait to go back!

LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE
This house is every bit as fabulous and charming as it looks! It is the perfect combination of large gathering spaces with true coziness. It has original charm with beautiful modern updates. House was very well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking, serving, and entertaining our group of 5 parents and 3 USNA Midshipmen for a long weekend. Jill was a great communicator, kind, friendly, and provided extra welcoming touches. Everyone in our group thought it was 10/10. Only negative was that our parents’ weekend was too short! We didn’t want to leave.

Great family vacation house
Beautiful house in great area. Open layout that was perfect for family games and meals. Close to Annapolis, Baltimore and DC. We caught rock bass, pike, catfish and blue crab all from dock. Camp fires almost every night. We'll be back again. Thank you!

Wonderful family vacation
We had a wonderful time. Loved the nearby walking/ biking trail, as well as being on the water. We were able to kayak, or float on tubes in the water. In this era of the pandemic, it was great to not be around crowds of other people.

Great house with great hosts
We had such a lovely stay at this property. The hosts have carefully prepared their home for the comfort of their guests. Every room is well appointed and beautiful. There are multiple areas to gather together, play games, or to sit quietly with a book. The kitchen is a breeze to work in; the master bath shower was glorious; the doors to the deck made bringing in the outdoors delightful. The location was convenient to downtown Annapolis, Washington, Baltimore, shopping, and water sport activities. Jill, our host, was responsive and conveyed genuine pleasure in helping us enjoy our stay. My only disappointment in the house is that I was the only one in our party of eight who didn't get the ring-toss game.

This is a gem!
Beautiful property with wonderful attention to detail. The house provides many places to be together or find a place to read quietly. .We were a group of 8 and had plenty of room. Entertainment included fishing, kayaking, spike ball competition and board games. We celebrated our son's 21st birthday in style. The location is close to Annapolis for its restaurants and history and very convenient toDC, MD locations and Delaware. A perfect spot for reunion. We will be back!! Thanks, Jill!

A slice of Paradise in Annapolis, MD
This lovely gem located in a quiet cove off the Severn River is truly a slice of paradise.
Jill and Mike have taken great care to tend to every little detail in the house to make sure their guest’s stay is absolutely a memorable experience. We spent 10 glorious days in this lovely home. Our son Commissioned from the Naval Academy and Mike and Jill’s ‘Happy Daze’ home was the ideal location, just 7 minutes from the north gate of USNA.
The home is superbly furnished and stocked with everything you would have in your own home. We felt at home the minute we walked in the house.
It was a joy to spend time enjoying the water views off the kitchen, living room, or the deck. If you are a water or nature lover this is your place. We celebrated my son’s commissioning and my wife’s birthday while we were there and are looking forward to coming back.
Mike and Jill, thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Fabulous waterfront property!
A wonderful waterfront place to stay, with all the comforts of home. The views of the water make this a very tranquil and relaxing place to put your feet up! We took our paddle boards out and explored the surrounding creeks and The Severn River.
Without question, we would stay here again.

Great long weekend on the Bay!
We had a great time celebrating a couple of birthdays. Property is awesome. It is right on the water with access to the Severen River. We went kayaking and sat out on the lawn by the water. A quick walk up to the Baltimore and Annapolis trail is great cardio. The house is about 10 min to downtown. Well appointed and really cozy inside and out. We will definitely be back!! Thanks Jill for the hospitality.

Fabulous Stay in Waterfront Annapolis Gem
What a wonderful time we had at Happy Daze! Every part of the experience was perfect, from texting with Jill in the days leading up to our visit, to the arrival and reveal of the stunning location, to the thoughtful touches and spotless condition of the home. We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this was definitely one our most enjoyable experiences. Even our dog loved it! And the neighbors were friendly too. The only thing we regret is not getting to stay longer. We highly recommend this property to anyone considering staying in the area.
