About the property
Even on a holiday by the sea it is not that often that you get to wake up this close to the water. This contemporary apartment sits in an enviable location overhanging the estuary, with views of boats bobbing by from the living room and master bedroom.
The first floor flat is accessed by two flights of stairs before you enter into a sun-filled hallway. Immediately, you are greeted by an open plan living, kitchen and dining space with glass doors in four panels opening onto the balcony. Interiors provide a welcoming coastal theme throughout. The property has been newly decorated, creating a modern but homely holiday retreat.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows that make the most of those stunning estuary views. This large room includes plenty of wardrobe space as well as an en suite bathroom complete with a shower & toilet.
A second bedroom has a double bed and a generous amount of wardrobe space, while the third contains a bunk bed and an additional trundle bed, making it suitable for up to three people. The main bathroom is also generously proportioned, complete with a bath and overhanging shower.
Amenities include a neatly concealed washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a large storage room containing a highchair, travel cot and ironing board. The apartment comes with one dedicated parking space within the secure complex, however there is further on-street parking and paid car parks close by for additional vehicles.
Recommended for: It’s perfect for a holiday with friends or family.
Favourite feature: The money-can’t-buy views of the water and easy access to the market town’s shops, cafes and restaurants.
About a holiday in the South Hams
The South Hams is famously one of the most beautiful parts of the UK and a popular holiday destination. Kingsbridge is a historic market town that also has the benefit of having an active residential community, giving rise to a welcoming, warm atmosphere, and lots of boutique shops and restaurants to explore. The apartment is perfectly positioned just a few steps from the popular Crabshell Inn – a gastro pub that’s well known for its fresh baked pizzas, its daytime deli lunches and as the perfect spot for a sunset drink. It’s also just a five minute (flat) walk along the water’s edge to the centre of town. Kingsbridge is only a short drive from the sailing town of Salcombe as well as a variety of beautiful beaches including Bantham, North Sands, South Milton and many more.
Please note: There is potential for occasional noise from the Crabshell Inn during the summer months.

Crab Quay Apartments
The appeal of this property initially was the balcony with superb views across the Kingsbridge estuary, the allocated parking and the location of pubs and restaurants within walking distance of lovely Kingsbridge. We were not disappointed, despite the changeable weather, our stay was wonderful due to the beautiful (and comfortable) accommodation within easy access of great towns for shopping, beautiful old villages and several gorgeous beaches and coastal walks. The Crab Quay Inn, almost next door, was a great place to eat and drink by the water's edge whilst watching the paddle board lessons. The bus station in Kingsbridge was an added bonus operating 7 days a week for convenient travel. Highlights for us were Totnes market, Dartmouth with its river cruise, Salcombe, Hope Cove and Bigbury on Sea where you could walk to Burgh Island (haunt of Agatha Christie) for a pint at the famous Pilchard Inn or afternoon tea at the famous art deco hotel as seen in 'Poirot' on TV. Overall, a brilliant holiday. Highly recommend!

A beautiful apartment, superbly equipped with a luxurious feel. Nice touch were the extras left for us. The location is stunning and Kingsbridge delightful and only a 5 minute walk.
The Crabshell Inn next door was only a few steps away with excellent food, and very friendly staff.
