Wonderful location and beautiful views from this second floor condominium nestled on Bayou Heron. Sleeping eight, this three bedroom, two and a half bath condo has your choice of elevator or stair entry and expansive waterfront views from its top floor location. Families will love the canal front POOL at Bayou Heron and boaters will love the boat dock with protected canal dockage. This unit is also within easy walking distance of the Blue Heron Park kayak launch, public Gulf Beach, restaurants, gift shops and more!
Attractive and comfortable, this condo has everything you’ll need. Enjoy a well-stocked kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster and blender. The master bedroom has waterfront views, a King bed, TV with ROKU, private bath with garden tub, separate shower and double vanity. The second and third bedrooms each have a Queen bad and are connected to the second full bath with combination shower and tub. A half bath is located just off the front entry for your convenience. The living area is equipped with a sofa-bed, ROKU and has a lovely North West waterfront view with doors exiting onto the large corner open deck.
Access this second floor condo using the common ELEVATOR or central stairs. A common grill is provided on the ground floor for use, no private grills are allowed. Bayou Heron Condo rules must be followed. Maximum of 2 vehicles and facility occupancy including any daytime visitors is limited to 8 persons total. This condo was fantastic! Amazing views, beautiful sunsets, and all the amenities you might need. Walking distance to the public beach (bring flashlights at night as there is almost zero light on the beach if you are there after dark), great pool, great fishing.

We had a great 11 night stay. The condo is very roomy and well stocked. The location is wonderful-on the bayou and across the street from the gulf beach. Nice to have coffee on the lovely balcony and watch the spectacular birds! Thank you for a relaxing stay!!

Nice property. Only downside was it had a lot of dust. Cabinets tops in kitchen and living room furniture bottom shelves looked like they have never been cleaned.

We chose this property because it was priced right for our needs. We didn’t spend much time here other than a place to sleep and eat breakfast. I think once the construction on the patio is complete and the excess furniture is moved out it will be a very nice place. Overall it worked well for us.

This condo was perfect for our family’s weekend getaway. We had 6 adults and 1 child and it never felt crowded or cramped. Everything was as described in the listing. Beautiful view of the bay.

It had been 4 years since our last girls trip and no one had ever been to Dauphin island, a few had never heard of it! We had a blast! The location of the condo was fantastic and the condo met our needs! We were sad we couldn’t access the balconies with the fabulous views. We would recommend Dauphin island and the property wholeheartedly

What a lovely and fun place to stay. Location was perfect, the condo was roomy and clean. Bryan was so hospitable and his communication was excellent. He made things clear and welcoming. He reached out to us for other opportunities. He was laid back and helpful. It would be hard to find a better place to stay on Dauphin Island with a more welcoming host. FABULOUS!!

Loved the location. Rode bikes most places. The ocean beach access across the street! Loved the sunsets. Condo was well stocked. Easy covered parking under the condo! Byron contacted me quickly when I had questions accessing live TV. He walked me through it step by step. Will definitely use this rental again!

owner had to do some urgent fixes on the balcony during our stay - did not bother us at all and offered extra night as compensation (which we were not able to use)
we had some issues with the Wifi, which were resolved later on.

The location was excellent, quiet with good view and walkable to a public beach. The property was clean and has generous supplies of all you need to stay comfortably. The owner was responsive. The water-heater was on the smaller side if you have a large group wanting to shower at about the same time. The only issue we encountered was the non-existence of internet, be prepared to use your own cellular data plan instead of the wifi.

The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The view is hard to beat. The furnishings could use a bit of updating but were clean. Great layout. The two-and-one-half baths were a plus, as was the elevator. I would definitely consider booking again.

Great deal based on location and amenities
Our experience with the property was outstanding. We were a blend group of 5 adults, autistic teen, 5 year old and 6 year old.
Communication with Bryan was quick and efficient. Overall we found the property to be clean and well maintained. The condo seems to be a mix of vacationers and residents. We had nothing but great interactions with everyone.
- The pool and chairs were cleaned and we enjoyed it.
- Great fishing dock! Nice cleaning station. Lots of blue crabs if you want to bring the supplies to catch them.
- The common elevator was a nice perk and clean.
- There wasn't an outdoor shower but there was a water hose.
The condo was roomy and enjoyable. The air conditioner worked great and we were never hot. Nice coffee bar with all sorts of options. Wrap around deck with gorgeous view of the bay. There were lots of extras. A couple kid kayaks but I believe there was only one paddle, adult kayak, kid life jackets, toys for Beach, adult bike, wagon (I think). The washer and dryer worked great. The kitchen was small. While it had a lot of items such as cooking utensils, basics like cooking oil salt, pepper, sugar, crockpot, Blender- next year we will definitely bring our mixing bowl, instapot, favorite pots and cookie sheet. It did have plastic bowls we could have used for the mixing but we were using those for snacks, treats, fruits etc on the counter. Master bedroom and king bed was nice. I think part of that was because it had a mattress topper. There was not an easy way to plug in a phone by the bed so I would bring an extension cord. Our other guests said that their bed did not have a mattress topper but wasn't too bad. The master bathroom and closet was roomy but the shower is small. There was plenty of bed linens, 6- 8 bath towels for the condo and no beach towels. We left a few beach towels for future guests. The guest shower tub was slick but we bought a bath mat to solve that problem. Like most rentals they had starter supplies for paper goods. There was also other supplies like trash bags, detergent, dish soap but we also brought our own. Tvs, internet, roku worked great.
the public beach is within 10-15 min walk. Some of our favorite things on the island include the lighthouse Bakery, Farmer Market, skinner's steamers, seeing Rick James the alligator, sea lab and the ferry to Fort Morgan. This was our fourth trip to Dauphin Island and we have already booked this condo for next year!

Fantastic Dauphin Island Experience
The condo was spacious and clean, and the views of the marshes and bay were gorgeous, as described. Bryan was the best host; quick to reply and very accommodating - much appreciated!
The location of the condo is very convenient. It's a small island, but this is right in the middle of it all! Walking distance to the Beach Store at Pelican's Nest, several cute takeout style restaurants, and public beach access, and a short drive to everything else.
The Estuarium at the Sea Lab was tops - a must visit.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay.

Best rental on Dauphin Island
Our family has visited the island 3 times and this is, by far, our favorite rental. It is clean and quiet with a fantastic view and is well stocked. My husband and daughter especially enjoyed the kayaks. We will definitely nstay here again.

I couldn’t have been more pleased with this condo and it’s location! Bryan responded quickly when I had a question and was more than helpful! The condo is spacious and clean. The public beach access is across the street! Please double and triple check the RIP tide warnings! During our a stay a teen was pulled out and is now fighting for her life. Dauphin Island has a lot to offer! We visited the Bird sanctuary and loved it. The sunset from the balcony are stunning and the private pool is a great place to hangout with your family. I am already looking into booking the next stay at this particular property!

Private and relaxing
We had a great time on our recent trip, but we have travelled to DI twice a year for the past decade (prices ranging from $100-$550/night) and this was one of our least favorite places to stay. If you are able to spend a little more, you can get a place much closer to the beach with the same or more amenities. If not, book this place! The island is awesome and the condo is certainly nice if you are on a budget, particularly off season.
PROS: price, spacious, clean, very nice inside, lovely bay view of sunset, check in and out was extremely easy, beds were very comfortable, quiet location (we never saw anyone else at the pool and only saw/heard neighbors in passing), beach/pool items for use, kitchen and dining with full size appliances if you plan to cook
CONS: outside of condo and elevator are run down, pool was extremely dirty for several days (we spent well over an hour cleaning it before we could even get in), long walk to public beach (it’s “just across the street”, but with kids and stuff it took a solid 10-15 minutes to walk) master shower is TINY, housekeeping came on the wrong day to clean (at 9:30), internet went out for the last 36 hours or so (due to storms, which was not anyone’s fault, but wasn’t repaired before we left and without TV or YouTube kids can be grumpy).
Overall, I would recommend this place if you don’t care about being close to the beach or plan to drive there. The host was pleasant and responsive to messages within a few hours.

We came to the island for bird watching and kayaking and this unit for the bill perfect. Just steps away from the kayak launch. A lovely unit with plenty of room and a great view. Hope I get to come back next year. Thanks Bryan!
