The Elm Cottage is a bright and renovated vacation rental in the town of Frankfort, perfect for a family vacation or couples getaway!
Six guests can sleep comfortably with a queen bed in the first two bedrooms and two twins in the third. The cottage has one full bathroom which was completely renovated in 2021. A renovated kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you need for a home cooked meal, plus extras including dish soap, dishwasher pods, sponges, and garbage bags.
The property provides the perfect stepping stone for local destinations, with Frankfort Beach and Main Street just a mile away and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore a short drive. An outdoor shower provides the perfect spot to clean off after your adventure.
The shed on property provides many outdoor amenities including beach chairs, beach umbrellas, lawn games, two adult bikes and helmets, and a wagon to complete your trip!
After a long day in the sun, come home to a large backyard with a fire-pit to gather around or get cozy on the large sectional for a game night. Take a walk to downtown Frankfort and check out the shops and restaurants on Main Street!

The cottage is so clean and has all the amenities you could ask for. The beds are super comfortable. It was in a nice neighborhood and conveniently located. We would definitely rent it again if in the area.

Our best experiences were enjoying the deck and building a bonfire.

The cottage was great for everything our family needed. Our hosts were kind, responsive, and communicative. The space was super clean and had good communal spaces. Outdoor space was great too. The only addition I'd make would be a patio table near the house for eating outdoors.

This was our second visit to The Elm Cottage. Great location and very comfortable accomodations. Very homey and trendy decor. Beds are comfortable and shower nice and hot. We'll be back!

Our family loved staying at our Frankfort Oasis. We enjoyed everything the house had to offer, from making smores, watching the deer, and relaxing! The bikes and toddler carrier attachment was a huge bonus! My kids loved cruising to Lake Michigan and shopping downtown that way! My son asked the other day if we could go back! Thanks again for opening up your house to our family!

Light, bright, crisp and clean. This cute little cottage was the perfect getaway for our family of 3. Furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed. Outdoor spaces were perfect too...campfire area, deck, grill. Easy bike to town and beach. Loved the outdoor shower!

Having not been on a “real” vacation in a long time, this was a perfect home base. It was clean and bright and we felt very much at home and even a little spoiled. The bikes were a big hit and the living room a perfect spot to relax together at the end of the day. The girls were intrigued with the records. To us they were old friends. So many thoughtful touches. Wish I were writing this from the beautiful deck. Thanks for adding to our too short time away. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at many rentals and I will say the location is nice, the neighborhood is quiet and the house is updated. Just a suggestion for the owners is the cleaning service needs to pay more attention to detail. I had to wash the cabinet doors inside and out, the sliding glass door was not clean and had visible hand prints. The outside of the house could be cleaned and updated. Overall a good stay. Thank you!

This home was perfect for our summer vacation in Frankfort, Michigan! Our family of four enjoyed relaxing on the back deck, hanging out in the renovated kitchen, and using the wagon and bikes that were available to renters. This home is close to a neighborhood park, and was a 10 min walk to downtown Frankfort. We loved everything about the home and would love to come back next year!

The location was very convenient. It was challenging to manage the get ready time in the morning with four people and one bathroom. The cleanliness was acceptable. The driveway was unpaved and we had multiple rainy days so there was a large puddle that made it hard to get in and out of the car. It would be nice to have a dryer, especially if the stay was longer. Even though there were clothing lines outside, we could not use them to dry our towels due to the heavy rain. Without air conditioning, it was very hot as the fans could not keep up. We couldn’t figure out how to use the string lights on the deck even though they looked nice in the picture.

Even better than described. Cooking was so easy in the well-stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, and so clean! We really enjoyed sitting out on the back porch and riding the bikes along the bike path. The only thing that would've made it better was A/C. It was the perfect weekend getaway.

We loved our stay, the house is beautifully remodeled, had so many amenities it’s hard to discuss them all. The backyard is a perfect fit for a nice quiet family outing, and close to anything you need in downtown Frankfort.

The Elm Cottage was perfect for our double family vacation! There were 4 adults and 3 children under 10 in the cottage and no one felt cramped. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for us and we could all sit together for our big breakfasts. The cottage was perfectly equipped with everything and anything you could think of. Ample amount of storage space. Nice neighbors. Perfect yard to let the kids run and let the adults have a nice relaxing fire every night. Plus the outdoor shower was a wonderful perk! Close to the beach and wonderful restaurants. We can't wait to visit again!
