The area was beautiful and the local people were very friendly, Could not fault the area. Plenty to do for the young and old. Great local pubs serving fantastic reasonably priced food. Beautiful views and walks. Something for every taste.
The property was self catering but every cupboard was full of the owners food so nowhere to store our food, had to use our own shopping bags to store our food in. However had a good size fridge. Booked for 3 adults but water ran cold if you wanted more then 2 showers so the 3rd person had to make do with a cold shower. Water heated early morning so no hot water for the rest of the day. Nowhere to put your clothes so you had to live out of your suitcase which if the second bedroom is being used by the third guest then you have to use space on the landing floor to put your bags. No dining table as advertised so ok if you want to eat off your lap. Rooms extremely small struggled to close the doors. No mirror or shelf for using if you need to dry hair or put makeup on. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE the heating or you will receive an email telling you not to use ,even if it is cold. It does say in the instructions that you can use the heating but this was found to be untrue. There is a log burner but once you have used the 5 free logs you have to pay £7.50 for each basket you use after that. Make sure to clean the burner before you leave. No TV only streaming. Take you life in your own hands if you go into the shed to get garden seating out. Floors around bed dirty and bedding stained.

Everything except the bathroom
Shower screen door comes off its rollers. No water pressure
No towel rails. No shelves in shower for shampoo etc. .looks great but doesn't function well

Outstanding location. Very clean.
Cottage is OK, guests advised to take own towels and purchase firewood beyond one complementary log basket (available to purchase from the host). Hosts kindly provided towels to us as we didn't pack any.
Insufficient lighting in the lounge, very small dining table.
Very small rooms, at times a bit cold.
Decor a bit cluttered with the host's personal stuff.

A perfect location in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park and very close to the quintessentially English village of Lustleigh. Becka Cottage is a lovely stone building in a courtyard setting which has been sympathetically enhanced by the owner to provide a high quality and extremely well equipped property. It has a charming small garden, a very comfortable lounge in a lovely oak framed extension with an efficient and attractive wood burner. The cottage retains all the delights of rural living but with the benefit of modern day comforts and facilities too.
We stayed for four weeks while we were having building work undertaken at home and absolutely loved it!

Was like home from home. Very nice. Very well looked after cottage. Clean. Comfortable beds in both rooms. Nice new bathroom. Kitchen was lovely. Couldn't of asked for a nicer place to stay
Nothing bad to say!

The courtyard that you drive into was very attractive, and created a safe environment to park etc. The garden was a lovely sunny haven to relax in. The surrounding countryside is beautiful including the village of Lustleigh.
The cottage is located off the main road, which is pretty busy and quite noisy. Not much the owner can do about that though! A proper light in the extension would be good - or a decent reading lamp.

The garden was beautiful
Poorly signposted and we had to search for a while to find it; not romantic at all; very masculine in decor; too many instructions; no towels; single bed was uncomfortable

Absolutely beautiful. We were amazed how green and wooded the area is with lovely laneways to drive through. Very English and picturesque.
Really nothing other than more time to just sit and watch the clouds and listen to the sheep!

The quiet location
No channels on tv and electric heating was cold in kitchen and extension in the mornings

Great location and it felt like a proper home for the few days we were there.
nothing really, we had no towels ( the cleaner forgot to put them out ) but it was sorted quickly by the owner 😀

Great rural location, perfect if you are looking for time away from city life. Lovely wood burner and fire place. Smart TV in living room and snug with netflix/amazon prime. Nice garden with bbq stand.
The property has a lot of possessions that are personal to the owner.

Very helpful information pack, provided ahead of the visit and in hard copy. A comfortable and warm cottage with everything the visitor needs, e.g. good quality shower.
Rather too much of the owner's stuff, especially in the [rather small] kitchen. Small bedroom.

Very cosy, romantic, nice
Liked everything
